I purchased this to replace a well used esam4200s which gave good daily service for several years. This one is virtually the same with a few refinements and improvements so I am very happy. It's good looking and easy to use and clean. It seems much faster than the old machine and the coffee is much hotter (and I've only got it on the 3rd temperature setting out of 4). One mistake in the blurb is that it says the boiler system is removable, it is NOT, but the infuser is removable as in the old machine. Also there is a mistake in the instructions referring to adjusting the water hardness setting: it says to turn the selection knob to set the level, this is wrong, it should read press the eco button repeatedly to set it.

If you want to brew straight from beans this is an excellent machine especially considering the price. It makes very smooth coffee with a good cream and the steam wand works well ( though I would have liked it to angle more like my last machine it doesn’t make any real difference ). I knew it was considered noisy before I bought it but as all espresso machines are noisy I wasn’t surprised, being used to a very hissy Gaggia machine. However it does make a beeping noise like a reversing bin lorry when doing its warm up flush through, and the same when closing down. If you want to have a coffee while the rest of the house sleeps this might be a problem. It’s no noisier when delivering the coffee than most machines.

We had a similar machine at our office for 2 years. We tried to go for another model but wasn't available. So went for the time tested model we were using. This machine is rugged and good for office use. Only point is one should know the controls by going through the manual to know the proper functionality as to how to descale, beans stuck in the grinder etc. Argos was good as i got delivery next day. Earlier had placed the order with another store who didnt get the product in 2 days. Satisfied.

I've had my new bean to cup for about 10 days & like the ease of use & coffee it produces. I'm used to my old Gaggia's brews & trying to replicate with my new De'Longhi & I'm not quite there! Also, I need to make "long blacks" and "flat whites" which again I'm not there with! For the most important drink a Cappucino (for moi) its very nice but not as strong as I like & the steam-wand is difficult to use (it doesn't move out far enough - big design fault). It DOES take conventional size mugs too.

My first machine was broken, the grinder didn't grind, Argos picked it up the next day and replaced it with a new one and also refunded me the original delivery cost, so top marks for customer service Argos.The machine itself is great, it's not the prettiest and it's quite big, but it's more or less the cheapest bean to cup machine so you can't have it all. It takes some experimentation with all the different settings, but that's all part of the fun. After about 5-10 cups it makes amazing coffee

Having only recently started to embrace the world of coffee drinking I decided to splash out on a proper coffee machine. This has all the features for a fraction of some of the other bean to cup coffee machines.It takes a bit of practice to great your coffee tasting just right but that is part of the fun of owning a machine like this.It only takes a minute to warm up (much quicker than a kettle boiling), makes a little bit of noise but thats to be expected with the high pressure pump inside.

Before purchasing I did my research and for the money this is a great bean to cup coffee machine.It takes a few days of fiddling to get the coffee perfect but when you get there it is beautiful. The coffee is piping hot and perfect strength. I haven't made a cappuccino yet but looks easy enough to use.Cleaning and emptying the used coffee grinds is really simple. The water store is to the side of the machine but pulls out to front so absolutely not faffing. I highly recommend this product.

Ideal coffee machine for people who like a good cup of coffee. Easy clean, easy use, easy everything. You can switch the auto shut off mode to a maximum of three hours if needed. Choose your coffee strength or cup size & it takes 1 or 2 cups at a time. When using for the very first time, make sure you prime the steam function nozzle first (which takes seconds) then you are good to go. Cleaning the machine is easy as the internal infuser compartment removes in one swift movement. Excellent buy 5*

Amazing coffee machine. We are coffee lovers at home. We wanted a device that allow us to make good coffee but we wanted it to be practical. We wanted to avoid the capsuled ones for ecological reasons and this coffee maker has been an amazing discovery. You can make coffee out of beans or already grounded coffee. Once the coffee is made the device cleans itself so the only thing you have to do is empty it from time to time. Just like a nesspresso machine or any capsuled one but with 0 waste.I

Bought the machine back in November but finally got round to using it at Xmas. "putting it together" really easy....however....couldn't get it working. kept making a whiring and a clonking noise then it would switch itself off. So before boxing it up and returning it - had a live chat with a very helpful person on the Delongi page. RESOLUTION...Turn the froth spout out and onto froth/steam - might take a couple of goes - but there could be an airlock - this will clear it - LOVE MY COFFEE now

First and foremost - this is a great bit of kit and deserves 5 stars for the quality of the coffee it delivers.It requires a fair bit of emptying of grounds refilling of water tank if you drink a normal to medium size cup of coffee and the need to clean and empty drip tray is more frequent than expected . A monthly descale is a must (hard water area rated 3 - highest is 4). This takes 30 - 45 minutes. All said & done the coffee produced more than makes up for the TLC required...

Ok so I realise I've given this machine 5 stars all the way but I love it. I've waited a long time to get a coffee machine. Always knew I wanted a bean to cup but have never been able to justify it. This deal came up right after Xmas so I looked into it. The online reviews are overwhelmingly positive and I couldn't find it cheaper anywhere else. Follow the online tips and read the instructions and you'll get the best coffee of your life. I don't bother with coffee shops any more I just go home!

Machine was delivered very quickly. Size was perfect...not too big on worktop.At first couldn’t get it to work!! After a while we realised we were being too gentle with watercontainer and had to be slightly more firm in putting it in place. Also ou have to be sure thatafter you empty the coffee grounds part ...that you also have to be a little firm...Once we got to know the machine...it worked a great! Delicious coffee...either espresso..cappuccino..or just a perfect cup of coffee...

I got mine on offer for under £200 and it has the same underlying mechanicals as the more expensive models. It's a bit plasticky on the outside but quite sturdy underneath. The water container is a bit awkward to fill and slide in and out of the machine, the milk frothing steamer is a bit weak but adequate for most purposes. It hasn't got the electronic presets or memory of the higher price models but the controls are easy to use and if you want a good value basic machine I would recommend it.

It is a fun, easy-to-use machine not overloaded with unnecessary stuff. Of course, knowledge of additional features will take some time , but worth it.Analog ability to adjust the amount of ground coffee itself and water to your preferences is a big plus.Nozzle for frothing milk is a world championship - really everybody can handle.And prepares delicious caffe crema!Maybe it is a little noisy, but it is no surprise when about 2:00 in the morning comes the desire to freshly ground coffee ;)
