I was hesitant to try this on my skin because I was originally using Live Clean's products until my dermatologist told me to begin using something unscented and with less likelihood to cause my skin condition to flare up.I have an autoimmune disorder, lichen planus, in addition to general sensitivities, and eczema. Yes. I have been going for phototherapy to help ease the significant patches of lichen planus that I have. The phototherapy however, dries my skin out completely. So, I needed something that would help me in the middle of a skin flare up (ie: not many chemicals as with other products), AND something that would still moisturize my skin well because of the UV exposure from the phototherapy.I tried other Cetaphil products and so far, the only one that helps with all of these, AND serves my other skin issues well is this product. I use this in combination with Lyderm, for the patches that are genuinely intolerable. This product probably won't be for everyone. It's also taken me 2 weeks of use to feel a difference. It won't work overnight if you have really sensitive skin. If you have super dry skin, that may be another story altogether. It is a tad greasy when you first put it on, but it's designed to be really moisturizing. If I put this on before bed it's not as bad because I'm sleeping most of the night. I use the lighter products from the Cetaphil line during the day because of this, though. I will say however, that when I bring Cetaphil to phototherapy treatments, the burns are not nearly as bad and the dry, itchy skin that usually follows treatments are lessened.I looked at CeraVe products and chose this one because of the price and the fact that Cetaphil was easier to find in Shopper's Drug Mart, and Walmart. Cetaphil, based on my research, seemed like the budget-friendly answer to CeraVe which has certainly rung true for me. Shipping, logistics, and availability during the pandemic also made me fond of this product because I read a lot of reviews that CeraVe was a popular "panic buy" item. When you need reliable access to a product because of health, rather than expensive tastes, that was a major concern for me. Hence, Cetaphil being my choice.I changed my skincare routine to include this product, and I use the daily facial moisturizer, the bars of soap, the ultra gentle cleanser for my face, and the scrub once a week to slough off the dead dry skin from my treatments. During the day I use the daily moisturizer or the tub of lotion, depending on what I'm doing, whether I will be outside at any point, and whether I'm wearing really breathable clothing. For those looking for something specific to use alongside this in the case of lichen planus, I would also recommend Free and Clear Shampoo and Conditioner!I probably sound like a walking advert, which I somewhat dislike. However, I used to use Live Clean and Lush products almost exclusively, until these issues flared up and I needed something formulated for them. I was so frustrated trying to find something that worked.I had no idea what on earth to do when my lichen planus and eczema got so bad that it covered 1/2 of my body. Nothing worked but this has definitely started to help. It hasn't fixed it because skin conditions are just that: ongoing conditions. However, this product has made them manageable. When you consider that the side effects of my conditions included itchy, dry skin that would be inflamed, painful, cracked, and after phototherapy occasionally turn into blood blisters, manageable is actually a big deal.Hopefully this saves someone some time and money!

Since the pandemic, like many people, my hands start to develop eczema due to heavy use of hand sanitizer and frequent washing of my hands. I started to develop itchy bumps and when scratch they become blisters so itchy!Although I do have psoriasis on one of my finger for many years and at times I will use the doctor prescribed steroid cream to soothe it. As much as I do not want to, I ended up using the same cream on my hands as nothing at the time solve my hands problem. But I want to stay away from the steroid cream as much as possible so I continue to search for a non-steroid cream. Gave a few other name brands a try but did not improve the situation until I purchase this product. At first I did not have much hope since I tried so many other cream already....to my surprise this actually work for me. My hands do not break out anymore and I put it on constantly the moment I feel that my hands are dried or when I feel a little bit of itch coming on.I also avoid using hand sanitizer as much as possible and purchase hand sanitizers that are more gentle. At the same time I purchase a low ph balance hand soap to wash my hands. I never use to put on gloves when I wash dishes and now I do and buy gloves that are for sensitive skin.I would say the combination of all these changes help with my hands problem and will continue to do so.

Ok, 9 month old with eczema, fought to see a dermatologist for 6 months, saw them, same old steroid and epaderm, itching not relieved at all. A friend went to Jamaica and brought back the lotion, but due to its high water content did not use, researched and found there was a national eczema association. Thank God, found the correct product to use the restoraderm range, my babys skin looks great, feels soft and comfortable. Just have to work on the scratching now, so have ordered the theraplex emollient to use with the restoraderm and have to also order the restoraderm wash.If you have eczema or know anyone suffering with eczema, please direct them to the national eczema association website and look at the products which rate 5/5 with no known irritants to aggravate eczema and sensitive skin. Thank you Amazon for selling this product.

I really like this product and received it within into days. I don't like heavy greasy moisturizers, Cetaphil get absorbed well into the skin and seems to leave a very light layer of moisturizer on top of my skin, but I don't mind it since it does not get on my clothes or other stuff after I massaged in and keeps my skin moisture all day until I shower. I love it!!! My skin is sensitive and its gets very dry during the winter but I notice a huge improvement within just a couple of days of use. I used it daily for the first 10 days, now I use it every other day. I switch between this moisturizers (Aveeno and Cetaphil) or my skin gets too greasy. If you have eczema, you should probably try a moisturizer specifically for eczema skin since the ingredients will be more suitable for your skin condition.

I originally had bought this stuff for my boyfriend because he suffers from bad eczema but after the first time I used it i was pretty convinced that I was going to keep using it after that. I am bad for using heavily scented lotions that aren't good for my skin and have to be reapplied every half hour it seems .. such as bath and body works stuff. Lately I have been switching to stuff that is more natural and has stuff in it that i know what it is. that is important. Start reading the back of your lotion bottles.. etc YOU SHOULD BE DOING THIS!!! ANYWAYNeedless to say .. this stuff would work on babies skin as well. It has no scent. It soaks in fairly quickly and is beyond easy and gentle on the skin!

This is the only product that has worked for my eczema and my 3month old baby's severe eczema. This doesnt say for baby but I tried this after using childs farm "baby" moisturiser. Childsfarm has made his eczema even worse (see photo #1) the 2nd and 3rd photos are day3 of using this Cetaphil. His eczema was weeping. I apply this to his skin as soon as I notice that his skin has gone dry again and especially if his skin began peeling. Just persevere! I find that its normal that the site gets red on application. But oh boy i noticed its efficacy since day1 especially on day2. Just apply it as many times as you want. Expensive but Highly recommended!

the only moisturiser that works on my chronic atopic dermatitis and eczema. As a clinical case with, unfortunately Lichenified skin'spots I am glad I discovered Cetaphil restoraderm. I now use it much less,( on my worst times I was going through a bottle a week!). the only problem is the price. very expensive, too expensive actually especially if you have a real medical condition. They should give it through the national Health service ( or at least discounted) to people that has serious problems like mine.I won't give 5 stars just because of the price. for the rest i can say it saved my skin!

This is the best eczema cream I've ever used - it's miraculous stuff. You only need to apply a small amount, but it takes the heat and itchiness out of eczema more or less straight away, and after a couple of weeks' use my eczema had more or less disappeared. There's a trace left now which doesn't itch at all, to which I apply a tiny amount of Cetaphil as more of a maintenance therapy to keep my eczema at bay. The only downside is that it's quite pricey, but I couldn't recommend it more!

This is a great product that actually works! The oatmeal in it really helps with the itch. A LOT! Moisturizes without greasy feel. Has been a tremendous help to my eczema. I have used steroid creams that have not helped as much as this lotion did! Highly recommend giving it a try! No perfumes. No irritants at all. I struggled with one patch for over a year....this lotion finally cleared it up and keeps it under control. No more itch or unsightly bad skin.

After having to order this now from the States (it doesn't seem to be available in Europe now?), I experienced a delivery issue. The company were very quick to respond back and resolved the issue. The cream is expensive, but really does work on my son's skin to reduce and calm his eczema. I will order it again.

Wish I had taken a picture of my elbow before starting to use this. I received it yesterday and the difference already it as made is amazing. Was my first time trying this product on recommendation. My elbow looks and feels so much better already. Will stick to Cetaphil!! Best lotion for rashy elbows!

Just got the second bottle of this product. My 11 month old daughter has a partly dry skin so we apply this cream on her face and body every night after the bath. Her skin gets so much better and I love this cream as accepted by eczema society of Canada. No scent, absorbed quickly.

25.6.2020

It soothes very nicely but will not get rid of the problem. It makes it look and feel better temporarily but goes away after a day. Keeping 5 stars because I don't know of a product that would outperform it and there is no claim that it gets rid of anything

I live in a cold climate so my hands get dry and cracked easily and this is the only thing that really helps. It also helps with my eczema that I occasionally get. It doesn't warm up or smell like anything and that's definitely a preference for me.

It is getting hard to purchase an eczema cream that is reasonably priced. I used to pay about $17 for Aveeno but now it cost about $40! I am glad that this is also very good moisturizing cream as well value for money. Please keep stocking product.
