This is a round lens hood which I like. It is excellent genuine Canon quality. As usual for Canon hoods, except for some of the L lenses, you must purchase it as an extra and it isn't cheap. The only con for me is the method of attachment. There are a couple of "button" areas on each side which require to be pressed while attaching, which for me is a bit fiddly. I expect though that it won't become loose as the bayonet type do after some use. All in all a very good hood. I only gave it 4 stars due to the price.
