My 2yr old son is obsessed with riding the North East - Metro Train so I have searched high and low for a toy one. This will do nicely. Very well made, lovely lifting lids for passenger access. Was hoping his duplo or playmobil figures would ride it too but the space in the carriages is too small. It is plastic but that is certainly not an issue as it looks and feels lovely. The carriages detatch and attach again with magnets. It is quite small, however with five toy boxes already jam packed the space-saving is much appreciated

This is perfect for my 3 year old grandson. Even though it doesn't have a little engine like some of his other Brio trains he really likes the fact he can push it along, open the carriages at the top and put the people in and take them out again. It keeps him occupied for ages.

This was to add to the farm set I had previously bought for a child. I like this because it allows the child to put in and take out the figures, encouraging imaginative use of the set. I'm sure the lovely little figures will be given names and a whole back story by the child.

Purchased as gift for 4 year old. He already had plenty of track, bridges and trains. This was purchased at the same time as the bigjigs station as he did not have a train which you could take passengers on and off. It is well made but as with all Brio rather pricey.

BRIO quality train set but expensive. I suggest buying lots of track from a well known Swedish furniture store and buying BRIO trains to complete. This train and our other BRIO sets have survived the test of time although the train driver is "lost in action".

What a lovely train this is! My grandson loves it. The two figures that can be put inside the train add to the imaginative play, and the opening roofs are very sturdy....seem to be designed so that , if the roof pops out, it will clip back in.

First class, little one loves it. No really small bits to get popped into a mouth but pieces a nice size and easily gripped by very small hands. Seems fairly robust, despite several months of use no paint chipping or breakages.

Item looks good and runs very well on brio track. Seems sturdy but note that fold back tops of carriages are easily removed. My 2 year old grandson had them off in minutes! They will click back in place if not lost before then!

Great excitement from my grandson when he received this on his birthday and saw that the people came in and out of the carriage and engine. He loves this train, it is good and chunky and I expect will take a lot of punishment!

Bought this as part of my sons Christmas to add to his Brio collection. its a great addition to any child that loves trains and the roofs come up so passengers can sit inside the trains allowing lots of hours of endless play.

Lovely brio train, works veey well although after about a week it started making it's own sounds. It switches on by itself whenever it wants to so I usually hide for the night it in the cupboard away from my son's bedroom.

Got this to extend our little one's wooden train set (3yo) and he absolutely loved it. It's very well built and complex enough to make it interesting (front opens, figures can be put anywhere, etc). Great addition.

My 5 year old is very pleased with this as he is growing out of Thomas and trains with faces and wanted something more realistic which carries passengers. Very well made and delivered promptly. excellent

My son of 4 years loves his travel train, just what he wanted and enjoys putting the little characters in the carriages which are really easy to open from the top.Well made, like always, from Brio.

This is a really lovely train to add to a train collection. It's great quality & the fact people can ride the train and go in and at really adds to it and utilises the wooden station we have too.
