My boys aged 18 months and 3 years LOVE these cars. I got them for just over £10 for the three, and I would say that is a great price to pay. Usually these vehicles are up to £7 each, which I am yet to pay as there are always deals to be had, and in all honesty, I'm not sure I would be willing to pay that price for one car.Having said that, they work beautifully with all the Toot Toot sets and they have so many different phrases and songs, my boys show no signs of getting bored of them. They take the cars out everywhere we go, and are more than happy to use them alone or with the tracks. They are very sturdy and robust. They have put up with a lot of dropping and crashing into each other and are still as good as new. They also have an off button which is great to preserve battery and if they get a little irritating! When they play sounds, the windscreen flashes. The fire engine's ladder is also hinged so it can be flipped up and down. They all have their names written on their sides and all the voices are English. You can press the windscreen to play a phrase, and the vehicle will rest afterwards and then play another phrase of its own accord, which is when the off button comes in handy. Alternatively, they will play sounds when reaching the smart points on the various tracks. There is no volume control, but they are not really annoying enough to warrant one, I don't think. These three vehicles do come in the emergency service sets, so they will be duplicated if you bought the three sets as well, but if you have more than one child it will probably be a good thing as it'll save arguements over who gets which car today. All in all, a great little toy, certainly for any child that loves cars, buttons and flashing lights. Very robust; a great size for little hands; and not too big to store.

These cars, like all the other Vtech cars we have are brilliant. each has a range of songs and sayings such as "Lets hurry to stop the crime" and "Lets be quick quick quick to put out the fire". Many singing kids toys are really irritating but these really dont bother me at all, maybe because i can see how much my son loves them. They work on their own without any track, and if you buy different sets of track, they will say different things. we bought another Toot Toot set (the construction site) and i was amazed and pleased to find a whole new range of tunes and phrases coming out of my emergency vehicles as they went over the new track. They really are brilliant. My only gripe is the price. At £18-20 for three small cars it really doesnt look like youve got much foryyour money. We as adults know that thats what they cost and theyre very good toys, but many children look at the size of the present or number of presents and think that you havent bought them very much if this is all they get from you, so id only get them for a child where i know they dont think like that (and the parents know how much they cost!!)

I dislike noisy toys in the main, but a relative loves colour and had not realised the problem she could face with louder kinds of toys for her child, so I decided to buy the set of Toot Toot Drivers Emergency Vehicles for her 9 month old son, this Christmas. What pleasure this little boy has already had with these vehicles, and he especially loves the ambulance. However surprise, since receiving these toys, he is only allowed to play with the vehicles for short periods - "Mummy finally realised how annoying the repetitive speaking and sirens can be". Clever little boy has been trying to push them about, so even without the track has experienced pleasure with the brightly coloured little vehicles.I recommend this sturdy set, especially if, like me, you can play a while, then leave to rest your ears. I just think it is wonderful, at times like this that I am not the mother ..... with this NOISY, BUT NICE TOY! Next purchase, some more pieces for his birthday.....I think!

A great 3 pack of toot toot drivers cars to add to add to the ones that come with the sets. Includes a police car, fire engine and ambulance. The button on the front lights up when pressed and they play songs related to what they do as well as sound effects. The cars come with an on/off switch at the bottom for parents sanity when little ones are on bed as once it has been activated it will randomly play songs etc for around five minutes before going into sleep mode. Can be quite loud if they are all going at once but my son loves them. He loves driving them around the floor, pressing the button and passing them over the smart points to hear them sing. Very study little toy cars, not even scratched from being launched of ramps. The batteries that were supplied in the vehicles are still going strong after much use.

I almost didn't get these cars, as other reviewers had complained that there is no 'on/off' switch.... however the company must have upgraded the toys since then, because there most certainly is a switch. Its perfect because as any parent with noisy toys can appreciate, the sound/music can get on your nerves. My 18 month old daughter loves them, they are very sturdy, and move very smoothly. The toys have sound, music, and spoken words ( 'its an ambulance.. lets take the patient to the nearest hospital.'... etc.) So my little girl has learnt to say fire engine, etc. Always nice to have talking toys, as they get something out of it, instead of just annoying tunes! In conclusion, great buy at a great price.I will be looking into other ranges in this product for sure.

Welcome to the World of the most frustrating baby toy songs and tunes, ever....'Emergency, emergency, let's go and fight the fire!'.....aaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! So unbelievably annoying but so annoyingly addictive. Our baby boy loves these and now so do we. They could be used on bad guys to extract classified information - played on repeat for hours and hours and hours until you get what you want. I would tell anyone, anything if I was stuck in a room with only these to listen to. Just don't let the battery run down so the tunes repeat the same one word over and over and over and over again; as your patience will gradually run down into a pile of steaming pulpy v-tech mess.Depite this, they are great and the baby loves them.

These little toys are an absolute joy. Our twins took to them straight away. The little songs are very sweet and jolly and there’s plenty of tunes to keep them occupied. They are very robust. They’ve been dropped quite a few times and some have even had a little sick on them! I washed them with a damp cloth and they’re still in working order! I haven’t bought the track to go with them but it is something I might think of getting when the girls are a little bit older. They’re also very educations! And of course for boys and girls. Great product. I would like the full collection, I have also bought the black taxi cab which is fun. I want more so I can find out all of their different songs.I think I like this product more than my children!

(same review for all the toot toots weve brouht) "toot toot" my girls love em i have 3 girls 9 month 2, and 5 and they all love the "toot toot" range some of the things seam a bit pricy but all come with batterys and provide hours of fun, there is only one thing that lets the whole range down and thats the track, it only connects one way round if you look closer on any pics with track you will see now ive pointed it out, i would say the garge has provided the most fun so id recomend that as a starter with the construction set (cement mixer, truck and tractor if i remember right). all vehicles have there own voice and sayings and sing a song relevent to there job.

These are great fun. We only have the cars but I love them and the boy gets them and throws them around, drags them over the floor and scoots them all over the place.Built to last is a key thing here and the fact you can turn them off is a god send! Other toy companies take note, parents want to save battery life and dont want random toys making noise in the middle of the night because a squirrel in the loft farted! The voices are somewhat, dramatic, but that isn't a bad thing. They are catchy and you get the songs and tunes in your head all day, even as I type I can hear the fire truck in my head.

My son loves these. I got them for his first birthday to go with the toot toot train set id already bought him (not fussed about the other sets just wanted him to learn about the emergency services ) I can now say to him you press and he will press the screen at the front to hear the different phrases and see them light up. They are very hard wearing which is great as he likes dropping them and bashing them on the floor. I also like that you can turn them off though I dont often so they are ready for him to play with the next time he fancys picking them up to play with

The range of different tunes and songs (some triggered by the button, others seem to be triggered by movement) mean that these keep adults amused, as well as kids, unlike the usual toys which play the same annoying song over and over again. They seem to be played at random at different frequencies, so sometimes you'll get a song you've not heard for several weeks - a nice bonus to keep adults sane.Kids love them too - my two boys played with these extensively in the post-Christmas months, far more than some other more expensive presents they'd received.

We bought these toot too vehicles to go with the train set for my toddlers second birthday. These are interactive toys that make different noises and songs when they go over different parts of the track and were a bit hit with my son. The songs get a little annoying to adults but not apparently to children! My favourite songs are on the fire engine and they are very catchy and impossible to get out of your head. Be warned! However, these are a great toy for toddlers and young children due to the lights, sounds and they do go far when pushed along.

2.1.2013

As with the Toot Toot garage these are great and work really well and my son loves them, but they all sing and make sound effects (potentially all at once if you don't switch them some of them off) quite a bit, and sometimes in tandem with the garage, so all gets a bit noisy. But can also mean a very quiet boy, so still well worth it.The cars don't 'drive' all that well in terms of just rolling them all the way across a room because of the weight of battery, etc, and small wheels, but work well enough and no problems on the garage itself.

Being a London Toddler, my 1 year old daughter sees rather a lot of Emergency Vehicles. These are the PERFECT toy for her to play with. They make realistic sounds (she wouldn't be interested otherwise. When she first heard one of the toys, she ran to the window!) They have catch phrases, lovely English accents and play music. It is a little annoying, but that can be overlooked due to the sheer joy they create! They turn off, thank God - and she is also happy to play quietly with them.

22.2.2013

Very good little cars. As the other reviewers mention they are very loud and go on for awhile. However there is an on/off switch at the bottom and another button which keeps the toy but stops the sound until the main top button is pressed again. The voices and sounds are very cute.UPDATE 27/07/16: Still going strong. Still as loud as ever. One of the cars the fire truck starting playing up but opened it up and put some loose wire back and all good. They've survived falls and bangs.
