This was purchased for my nephew for his birthday.All the Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway are built to a good standard replicating the characters seen in the Thomas & Friends TV show. I personally couldn't tell the difference between the different trains, i thought all the blue ones were Thomas. My Nephew has hours of fun playing with all the characters and the train set.######Overall######If you are a parent, uncle or aunt you can't go wrong with these as a birthday present or Christmas present for any budding Fat/Thin controller (I have to say that as these days there is a Thin Controller and Ringo Star is no longer the narrator). I just can't get over the price of these toys,

My toddler daughter absolutely loves Thomas and Friends and it is an utter delight watching her play with her trains. Seeing a child's imagination blossom must be one of the great privileges of parenthood. I'd rather have her playing with real toys than a tablet device any day of the week. And the wooden engines in this series, including 'Henry', are fantastic for imaginative, educational play. I've found these toys to be fairly robust and hard-wearing and I'm looking forward to our son inheriting them when his big sister eventually grows out of them. I've got a feeling I'm not alone here as a parent either: kids today will have plenty of time for electronic gadgetry when they're older.

Picked this up as Diesel has become a particular favourite with my son.It's a nice rendition of Diesel for the wooden railway (compatible with Brio, BigJigs etc), fits well, suitable for joining onto other wooden railway trains etc.Not got a huge amount of detail other than the face - all the other detail apart from the cab is just painted lines on the side. However, it is generally a bit cheaper than some of the other Thomas models, so I guess that is reflected fairly in the price.In summary, recommended

Got this for my son's ever expanding wooden railway collection.It's very good quality - as per the books, Gordon is one of the biggest issues, and is pretty much the biggest train in my son's collection. Good solid feel to the toy, excellent finish, as usual quality from Thomas & Friends toys for the wooden railway, though worth keeping an eye on the price, and it seems to fluctuate quite a bit - definitely possible to get a bargain on this, as the price goes closer to a tenner.Highly recommended.

This is the Spencer engine, compatible with all good wooden railway systems.Very impressed with it - as is my 3 year old. A nice sparkly silver engine, he does look fancy and very stream lined (as he's constantly banging on about being in the TV show).Good quality build, nice colours, and good detail. Good value too, given that a tender is included, and price often fluctuates to be quite a bit cheaper than some of the smaller engines.In summary, highly recommended.

Bought this for my Thomas mad grandson. His birthday isn't till the end of the month so actually haven't given it to him but I know he will love it. Wanted a talking one really but was on a different page, perhaps a good idea to have them together so you can have a choice , didn't see the talking one till after I received this but I hope this will please him just as much. Good quality toy and was delivered promptly.

This item was purchased as a present for my nephew. He loves the Thomas and Friends toys. He is making quite a large collection for his toy box and is obsessed by Bill and Ben, in fact he kept repeating their name for around 45 minutes when he was presented with Bill and Ben.These are good quality toys which should prove indestructible for a while.I would recommend these for any child. Works well as a present.

Part of Xmas gift set for my two year old. As well as getting this, I also purchased one of the BigJigs Railway sets. The train works perfectly on the tracks and a great addition to her set. She loves her railway set and playing with the different trains. Admittedly it’s a little pricey hence the four stars instead of five but over all, it has achieved what I was hoping for, a happy little two year old.

One of my daughters favourite characters. Everyone loves a villain and although Diesel isnt as much of an interesting and devious character as he used to be my daughter still likes to think off him as the original Thomas trouble maker. The model is robust with thick wheels and a solid feel and provides hours of fun for my daughters adventures on her wooden railway. Recommended!

My Grandson was over the moon with this gift, I did worry it wasn't an original because it was covered in Japanese writing but my daughter-in-law said that the stock was taken from whichever country was available. The delivery date was given as 3rd January which was going to be too late for Christmas, however it arrived on the 21st, well in time for Christmas. Well done.

This has become my 2 year old favourite train out of this collection. He even goes the bed with her. She is very sturdy not to heave but leaves a mark when thrown at someone (my child has a little temper issue). The paint work is fab and is showing no sign of wear even though she is played with through out every day. One of the best purchases this year

Got this for my son who is Thomas mad, and slowly amassing a decent sized wooden railway.This Percy engine meets the usual Thomas & Friends wooden railway standard - feels solid, looks quality - nice detail, like the bronze coloured dome.Works no issues with other wooden railway manufacturers, e.g. Brio, BigJigs etc.Would definitely recommend.

My son is a stickler for details. Overall he loves this. He as a lot of these wooden characters but he remarked how accurate the face is drawn as it looks a lot like the current tv version, whereas the box it comes in has a less accurate picture of henry's face. My son's only criticism is that he wishes the wooden trains had the buffers painted on.

Make sure you buy the right train for your tracks! the wooden and metal trains have a different gauge.I am sad that plastic is now infiltrating the wooden train with the wheels now attached via plastic under blocks. not that my 3 year old gives a hoot! he just loves them. even when he gets one that doesn't fit his tracks

I bought it for my nephew, he loves everything related to cars, trains and anything with wheels. The James themed steam engine fits perfectly with the other pieces from Thomas & Friends. He loves playing with them, they make a pretty nice set with lots of variations. I definitely recommend it, especially at a good price.
