Bought for my Granddaughter 2nd birthday, to go with the Brio set I had already purchased. Mostly made of wood with some plastic. I would have been nice to have everything made in wood, but maybe it's a cost thing. Anyway she loves it and like the idea that the rhino could be taken out or put back in the carriage. I liked that each carriage easily attached to each other via a magnet - easier for her to put them together. Good quality toy, which should last for years.

Christmas present for my little boy to add to his growing Brio world.Usual excellent quality.Read reviews about the animals not being detachable however they do dip below which is perfect for the number of bridges and tunnels we have in our setup.Your also able to close the roof to hide the animals a bed time.Little boy loves his train track and another great addition.

This is one of my favourite brio trains I have brought my little one. I think it is amazing. I love how the little animals pop out the top of the carriage and then they can be closed away to make it a standard carriage. Pretty sure I find it more exciting than my little one does but either way money well spent!

My Grandson loves this, which runs well on both Brio tracks and the floor. The pop up animals give extra entertainment and play value, especially as they won't go through the tunnels without being retracted. An ethical gift with the current focus on plastics.

My little boy played with these as at playgroup and loved them so I surprised him with them for Christmas. They are lovely, well made and very well played with already. We love how the animals pop out and it fits in perfectly with our Brio traintrack.

My grandson of two loves it especially opening and closing the hatches to let the giraffe and zebra pop out and in. Theses are permanently attached to the carriages so there is no danger of losing them.

Good quality BRIO train - I thought before purchase that you could remove the animals from the carriages but they just have heads that bob up and down when the top of the carriage is pulled back.

The Safari Train with its engine,carriages and animals proved a winner with the 18 month old recipient this Christmas. Great product which can be added to providing years of creative fun.

Very good train toy. A bit disappointed that the animals do not actually come out of the trucks, they are really just heads and slide up and down - a bit less interesting than I thought.

My 3 year old son loves this train set. You can close the top of the vagon with the animals and their head bends down when going through a tunnel. So much fun!

Very well made and am please with this as a gift for my Grandson. Only down side is that the animals a very small although of good quality.

Great little engine. A lot of power in it. Little one added 6 carriages to the back of it and it pulled them round the tracks with ease

Brio products are great, well designed and worry free and when bought through Amazon very well priced if you check thoroughly.

Very well made and went down well with my 2 year old nephew. Fits with his existing big jigs set too.
