Your are paying for the name. Always the case with BOSE. It is ery well made and sounds excellent but you need the surround speaker for proper surround sound. Alexa is nice especially once you find the exact phrase to switch the input back to the TV (Alexa switch input to TV). You have to use the BOSE app to set it up but it's easy enough. The small remote works OK but I can't set up presets. Alexa is a very basic implementation and most annoying you can't change the wake up word!!!

I bought this because my partner has trouble hearing certain levels of speech from the TV, not any more, without having to turn the volume too high speech has become clearer for her. Would I recommend this, without hesitation, its well worth the money for us at least. The overall sound is incredible & it has Alexa for good measure.

It's a great sound with the extra surround sound speakers.Alexa is fab ask it most things once set up and she will find the answer. The sound bar has been on constant playing music .if you can afford get one

The Bose soundbar 500 is a good quality speaker for home use. I get to enjoy movies and tv series for its cinematic sound quality. Its size is perfect for my 55-inch tv. It’s worth the money.

I have Samsung 4k TV and when watching Netflix or Prime videos sound always jumps, after I've purchased this speaker all problems gone. Easy to change settings on the app though the phone.

Bose speakers sell themselves, the sound is awesome it looks great under the tv . The set up is straight forward did have a little problem with the app , but it worked fine in the end

I purchased this sound bar to replace an old one very happy i did it as the most amazing sound I will purchase other Bose sound products to enhance the sound around the house

Great crystal clear surround sound. You can adjust base, treble and left/right outputs using the app, brill for music and film settings. Happy with my purchase.

Its a wonderful soundbar with this budget and very good when watching blueray or hd movies . Waiting to add Base module and surround speakers soon :)

Bought this couple weeks ago much better than the Bose solo 5 all in one that I purchased year ago I will be buying the subwoofer next to go with it

Great quality of sound, was expecting it to be a little bit bigger. Really happy with it and the design is great, looks and sounds well

The sound quality amazing it picks up all the sounds you normally wouldn’t get to hear and with films it’s just fantastic.

The soundbar sound quality is excellent. It is lightweight and compact which is deceiving for the sound that comes out!
