I bought this because it offered 3 ways I could connect to my Samsung TV, which does not have an audio jack for headphones, but does have the other 3 options. Interestingly, each way behaves slightly differently. (I would add that this may depend on what you connect to).When using a proper HDMI/ARC cable (not just a regular HDMI cable), I was able to control the soundbar volume via the TV remote, when viewing regular TV channels. However, when viewing HD channels (and possibly Netflix), it only gave me the optical option and not HDMI/ARC.With the optical setting, I had to control the volume with the soundbar's own remote and turn the TV volume down to zero to avoid a slight echo from the delay between the TV and the soundbar.(I couldn't just mute my TV audio as the mute icon stayed on screen).When using bluetooth, there was a delay between TV picture and soundbar output (terrible for lip-sync), so it seems this setting is best for listening to audio only, e.g. music.I don't think you can equalize the soundbar for tone response and some may find the sound slightly on the mellow side.The soundbar remote control has dim silver text on a black remote control, which is almost impossible to see clearly - so you just have to get used to remembering where the buttons are. (Several times I tried turning the sound up with the bluetooth button which is just above the sound up button) and had to then cancel bluetooth wanting to pair with things.Despite what I have said above, I have no regrets in buying this soundbar. It does the job well enough for what I wanted it for and having multiple ways to connect is useful.

I rather like the sound quality from this bar - it's cinematically orientated towards the bass, with good separation.The connection method is a bit confusing - the main TV connector seems to be via HDMI ARC, which is a fairly standard TV feature these days - my television doesn't have that, but thankfully the soundbar has a headphone mini jack input, so I found an old RCA to mini jack cable and connected it that way. There is also the option to connect it via optical cable, if you have that on your set.I'm using it just as much as a Bluetooth speaker - it's a fairly old BT standard (4.2), which shows that probably isn't the newest model of soundbar, but it works perfectly well when I connect my phone to it.A little remote is included,with battery installed - I'm not a huge fan of these as I end up with loads of different ones and they get lost. Good if you want it need that option though. Both three pin and two pin plugs are included, too,although the lead is rather short at perhaps 2m.It's not the most powerful output, with 40w - but it will suffice for most people I'd have thought, and certainly goes to a loud enough level for viewing requirements.Overall this is a really good value soundbar from a good manufacturer if you're looking to buy something that covers all the basics and sounds good enough. It offers a cheap way to vastly improve the audio performance of your TV.

I cannot present an indepth technical write up, sorry, but I can give you an honest review from someone who isn't a total luddite but also isn't a genius with gadget wizardry.I love this sound bar!We have an aging but reliable telly, but often have problems balancing the sound. One of the remotes makes it buzz, the other doesn't seem to give much sound at all. Throw in the strange habit some tv programmes have where you can hardly hear anything and it gets frustrating.I knew zilch about sound bars before getting this one to review. I had to order a cable to rig up the aux to the telly, plugged everything in and that was it, nothing else needed.it fits neatly under the front of the telly,very unobtrusive.We have super sound!What a difference, it's so much better. It might not be crystal clear or perfectly balanced but i am delighted with the improvement.

Sharp is a name you can trust for quality and this soundbar doesn't disappoint. Straight out of the box it's easy to fit with a quality hdmi cable in the box too. Also comes with it's own remote, which is a bonus. Adds a great quality sound when watching any programme but especially films. We've set up a Family Movie night. Netflix, snacks and chill. With this soundbar makes you feel like your at the Movies. Just add popcorn.?Definitely 1 to try.

The sound quality on this is pretty good. It’s clear, there’s a nice bass sound and for the money - it’s pretty good.The only complaint/point to raise is the volume. Don’t expect this to be an upgrade in terms of loudness compared to your TV because it’ll probably be the same. If you’re looking for something with a bit more punch, spend a little more as all this soundbar is really good for is clarity/bass.

I have this product connected to my tv in the bedroom and it works, sounds like a dream but it will not work on my older model tv in the sitting room although it has the hdmi facility. Must be the tv as the Bluetooth works fine when connected to my iPhone. I have given it 5 stars for the fact that it IS a great unit just not on older tv’s

Bought this for my 10yr Sony bravia TV. I connected with a cable and it's working a treat. I don't use the remote as I use the TV remote instead. I'm not one of those people who is super particular about the sound but just an average person who wants it to be clear. (my TV speaker had begun to resonate) Happily buy again if I needed to.

Great sound but wish I’d bought one that was compatible with my sky q box...then the sky remote would be used for the soundbox volume - instead you have to use a tiny and very thin match box sized remote which is always getting lost down the side of the sofa ! If this had a decent sized remote I would be happy

Love this soundbar as it’s made a huge difference to our tv watching! Our tv was sounding tinny as soon as volume was turned up so the soundbar has dramatically changed all of that! The sound is clear crisp and with a good bass. We’re very happy with our purchase.

This was very cheap and good quality, when put into comparrison to many high end, over the top and over priced soundbars. It does what you need it to and has good allround quality and more than suitable for most households. Plus no fuss and very easy installation.

I brought this for my new JVC tv. I didn't realise how bad the tv speaker quality was until I turned this on.great sound quality and works great over Bluetooth just waiting for the optical cable to wire it up properly.Very happy Customer

The product works really well on all programmes I want it to but it will not work on Sky sports channels for some reason. As it happens this is not important but just a nuisance to have to keep switching it off when I watch the sports.

This is a big improvement over my TVs speakers with plenty of bass. The remote control isn't great though. (very small and not sensitive. It wouldn't be suitable for music videos if you like it loud but I find it fine for ordinary TV.

The difference in the clarity of sound was/is instant. I didn't need to make the sound louder... just more clear and it worked. In fact, I could reduce the sound and still have the clarity of sound I need. What's not to like?

Bought this and it didn’t include the connection needed for my Tv sent for the connection and still unable to get any sound. Waiting now until tier 4 is lifted to get help installing this as I am not technically savvy
