Bought this item due to the lack of high volume from our Philips smart tv. The small downwards facing tv speakers are too quiet. This sound bar gives the same sound quality as our tv but with higher volume levels. Please note, if you have a smart tv, read the notes on adding a sound bar and adjusting the tv settings so as not to suffer from audio delay or lack of volume as some reviewers have mentioned. Also, if you have an up to date Virgin TiVo box, you can program your virgin remote to control the sound bar volume instead of the tv volume, otherwise you have to keep the small sound bar handset next to your tv remote at all times! This Panasonic Soundbar was packaged very well and contained all you needed for immediate setup and sits nicely in front of my television without causing any buzzing/feedback. Bluetooth was quick and easy to setup for playing music and has an amazing sound.I will suggest to place Soundbar on a base, not wall mounted but have the Soundbar switch set to Wall Mounted for even superior sound.I really like this Soundbar and would recommend to anyone and buy from Argos, where staff are excellent.

Brought this to replace our broken soundbar with separate subwoofer. Liked the look and design on the Argos app and wasn’t disappointed when unwrapped it. The only disappointing thing is the sound quality, it’s not perfect but not poor either. The surround sound is very echoey like your listening to a performance at the back of an empty concert hall. (Best way I could describe it).The volume is excellent fills our living room easily either with TV sound or via Bluetooth from mobile. 8/10

This is my first soundbar experience so I'm no expert but I'm enjoying it. It's better than my tv speakers. I bought it really for music which I stream via Bluetooth or YouTube on Roku. Gets very loud with enough bass to keep me happy. It's dimensions mean it fits in front of tv without blocking the screen. The remote control is small and adds to my collection. There are no doubt better soundbars out there but didn't want to spend too much. Audio optical cable needed(not supplied). Happy :)

I needed a new soundbar after my last one stopped working . This was a great price and I certainly cannot complain about the sound, it is so much better than the TV on it's own. I would definitely recommend this item. The ease to set it up was as simple as 123, plug it in, connect to TV and switch on, its space saving too. I also connected my phone/ipod via Bluetooth and can now play my music through it which saves me putting CDs in the DVD player.my life got simpler after buying this item.

We now use this for films, for our blutooth devices regarding music and radio and I run my cds through it. No need for a big system or a sub woofer anymore. This one speaker does the lot and has great sound.If u like clean surfaces and less wires then get rid of stereos, surround sound systems and just get yourself one these. It will do the lot. The surround sound setting is very effective and the clear option along side it is great for speech above any background noise or sound effects.

This sound bar has worked for us to boost the TV sound. We weren’t looking for a top end sound output at such a modest price but are happy with the sound quality along with the the options of ‘Clear Voice’ and ‘Surround’. We’ve used a digital optical connection and made a bracket to mount it just behind the top edge of the TV as we have the TV on a cantilever wall bracket. Fortunately there is no affect on the TV as the instructions say keep the sound bar at least 150mm away from the TV.

Have to say, this wasn't my first choice of soundbar, it was pretty much hobson's choice.It seems that a lot of soundbar/Television combos won't work properly. The first two had issues with sound when playing any recorded footage (new film released, last night's Eastenders etc) & you, basically, have to buy a soundbar from the same maker as your telly. Although I guess this is very much down to whoever makes your telly?Anyway, Panasonic telly + Panasonic soundbar & all's well.

Easy to set up. My digital cable goes to the tv and the audio cables connect to the PS4. So now everything is set up ready without the need to switch cables. Bluetooth functionality is good and the sound quality is great for my use given that it's mainly for tv, movies and gaming - much better than the fuzzy noise from our rubbish old flat screen tv.You do need to buy the cables seperately. We didn't use the mounting option and it looks pretty swish on our unit.

The soundbar makes my TV come alive. Good sound and is more than adequate for the size of my sitting room. Set up easy and streaming Bluetooth from my phone and tablet simple. I have a three shelf tv stand and is on middle shelf and is easy on the eye. Remote control is small which is good and once you become a couch potatoe you can play with the soundbar until you find your sweetspot. Don't forget to buy an optical cable if you don't have one already. Buy one and enjoy.

I have a Panasonic flat screen TV and the sound quality was poor compared to my old Samsung flat screen. Some-one explained to me that TV speaker technology isn't keeping pace with TV technology overall and suggested a soundbar. I bought the Panasonic HTB8 at Argos and the difference in sound is astonishing. My TV isn't Bluetooth but a cable just costs £7. Overall, I'm delighted with my purchase and have no regrets and would definitely recommend.Johnny A

. Initially tried to pair soundbar up with my Panasonic tv via Bluetooth, without success. Purchased an optical lead from Sainsburys for £5 (on offer) . Plugged it into TV and soundbar, switched on soundbar with remote , choose for TV sound and immediately worked. . The soundbar is a much denser sound than that of the TV. All in All pleased with purchase. Will need to try pair up other audio devices around the home to the soundbar using Bluetooth.

I originally bought this for my mother in law as her new Panasonic TVs sound was a little quiet. I suggested it purely on cost and size.It was very easy to set up , took about 10 minutes from unpacking to working. I was impressed with the sound quality and the Clear Voice and surround sound features did make a difference especially on Movies and Music. A good entry level system for the price.I liked it so much I bought myself one the next day.

What a great little machine. Brought this as the sound on our LG tv is naff. Have run it straight through the tv so you can watch all programmes though it as well as blue ray and hard drive. You can Bluetooth your music through to it from your I pod. It’s easy to use and set up. It’s powerful but not to powerful so it won’t upset the neighbours. Put a bond film on And it felt like we was in the cinema. Would definitely recommend this product.

Got this reduced to half price so was a mega bargain. Easy to set up and use. Sound can be a bit touch and go as I find the surround can suppress speech but there is a button that can counter that. Also you can turn surround off and just do stereo. Bluetooth function is an absolute bonus as can be used as a knife hifi with my tablet or phone. Bags of oomph and music is chrystal clear with no distortion. Highly recommend as an entry level bar.
