Note: The maker supplied a review sample for evaluation, the opinion of the product is my own personal viewOne of the more compact speakers I've looked at, this bar style speaker measure about 16cm length, by just over 6cm tall and with a depth of a little under 3cm, not quite "pocket sized" but certainly jacket/small bag friendly in dimensions. Finish is quite classy too with a grey/metal mesh covering front and back, soft touch on the bottom and top panels giving a nice tactile feel to the speaker.Controls are kept to a minimum, simple +/- for volume and controlling the tracks (quick presses for volume, longer for skipping), play/pause also doubles up for calls accepting and ending. All 3 buttons are raised and quite large. Right hand side has a silicone flap which conceals the micro USB port for charging and the 3.5mm Aux input jack (both are included), above that the power button.I like the simple design it suits the look of the speaker, and as a bonus this has "some" weather sealing. Rated to IPX4 that means it's passed the test for water splashing (test is 10 litres of water per minute for 5 minutes) in the real world that means it's fine to use this in the rain, but it's not designed to be immersed or pressured water jets. That's well worth having as I often take a speaker outside and it's a pain if you get some rainfall which could cause problems on some speakers.Unlike a lot of smaller speakers this is stereo not mono, with a passive radiator crammed in there which is just about visible under the metal covering (bit of a challenge considering the size) The sound on this is very good, once you factor in the size of the speaker; a nicely balanced natural tonality with decent bass, clean mids and a bit of spark to the treble. No one area is overdone making it suitable for a variety of listening tastes and I played quite a few tracks on this all sounded good to my ears. At high volumes in Bluetooth the speaker reigns in distortion and is essentially free from it, Aux input it semi controls the levels but might need a little reduction from the source which can overpower it a little, but it does better than most I've used and doesn't blow out all over the place.Bluetooth range was a little less than I expected with around 5 metres clear line of sight, you can also pair up with the NFC tag on the top panel if you're phone supports that. Charging from flat took 2.40 minutes and I got just over 7 hours play time at what I estimate to be about half of the max volume, so expect a bit less at full blast and a bit more at lower levels...still well above average for speakers in this class. Call quality was also fine, no issues to report on this, though as ever you will want to be within a reasonable distance from the speaker to get the best microphone pick up.Areas I don't like are relatively few. As another reviewer mentioned some slight hiss when not connected or playing at high volume levels (you won't notice it at normal levels), it's really quite mild and far from rare on a speaker, not really an issue at this price level (if it cost considerably more maybe) Despite the "solid build" and weather sealing it might be an idea to include a small bag to carry the speaker and the cables around, so that would be one small area I'd adjust in the package. In terms of sound though it's really much better than I expected, and the shape/size of the speaker would make an ideal companion for say a notebook user who wanted to carry a decent sounding speaker in the bag, round ones would be too bulky and the wrong shape.Minor points aside this is a fine speaker that kicks out a nice sound. 4/5

Superb quality with a cracking sound, this arrived as you would expect in a long box well packed and protected with custom cut foam blocks at each end and around the middle, each end was also covered in a removable plastic film. I was pleased to say and can confirm this comes with a UK three pin plug not the two pin one in some of the pictures. After opening it up I had a read through the manual, a very simple manual easy to follow covering all the functions and corresponding functions of the buttons on the remote control. The remote control is very good with a simple and basic layout similar to the layout of a Firestick remote control only larger.I got this for one main purpose and that’s formy Xbox One although I will be using it to stream a bit of music as well if I get chance as my wife and daughters seem to have the monopoly on what music is played in the house. Although I have a large TV I have never tried a sound bar before so this was something new for me and what I was really after was the immersive sound available when playing a video game without having to wear a headset.I decided to set this up with an optical lead (not provided) although it has leads for RCA in and coaxial connection if you don’t have an optical port on your TV, I gave it a good test on my TV with some music channels and then connected it to my iPhone 6 via Bluetooth which is simple enough just putting the speaker into BT mode then searching on your device for Taotronics and once connected you are good to go, After this I went onto my Xbox One and I really am impressed with the sound filling the room and it goes way beyond any sound level I would ever use, I didn’t notice any distortion and the sound experience between the speaker and TV speakers is like chalk and cheese, I wish I have got one sooner.I have added a short video of playing Ghost Recon on the Xbox One and I also flicked through a few sound tests after a simple YouTube search to show it connected via Bluetooth, I did test the range and didn’t get any drop off up to 30ft, after that it started to lose connection intermittently which is more than adequate for my needs. My original video is of high quality but please be aware the video quality often degrades considerable when uploaded through Amazon’s optimisation system but hopefully not too much. As a side note if you find the video won’t run as I often find then expand it to full size and start it then reduce the size again. What I liked************- Simple and easy to follow manual- The sound quality blew me away filling the room- Easy to set up with wall mount slots on the back and rubber pads on the bottom so you can either fix it to a wall or have it freestanding- Hassle free and easy to connect Bluetooth- Nice sleek design- A good simple but effective remote control and alternative touch buttons on the speakerWhat I Didn’t Like******************Not so much something I didn’t like as something I would have liked.- The inclusion of an optical lead- The inclusion of two AAA batteries for the remote controlSummary**********Overall I am really pleased with this speaker and wish I had got one before, the sound quality is superb and fills the room, the Bluetooth connection has a good range and is very easy to set up, I didn’t have any issues with it and it only took about 5 minutes from unboxing to having it blasting out sound. If you have any questions please feel free to ask I will do my best to answer.

This TaoTronics Waterproof Bluetooth (V4.0 plus EDR) Speaker (model TT-SKO9) was sent to me for review. The unit arrives presentably boxed and, apart from the speaker, you get a USB to Micro USB charging lead, an audio jack lead (for non-Bluetooth devices) plus a user manual and an invitation to register your purchase extending the warranty from a year to 18 months. The immediate impression is of a compact but well-crafted device. The speaker measures 160 x 28 x 62mm and weighs around 230g making it easily portable and it can handle mobile phone calls as well as music etc.The unit is nicely finished in a black rubberised texture with light grey perforated mesh.Power comes from a 1000mAh battery which gives around 8 hours playing time in return for a 3 hour charge via USB. On the upper surface there's a simple panel consisting of a multifunction button giving control over features such as mobile phone handling plus two distinctive plus and minus shaped buttons giving control over volume+/next track and volume-/previous track. The controls are easy to master. On the upper surface there's a mic for phone calls, plus an NFC spot for pairing if you don't use the manual pairing facility and have an NFC enabled device. Behind the speaker grille there's an LED status indicator for Bluetooth etc. On the right hand side of the case is an on/off/pairing button plus, under a rubber flap, there are Micro USB and audio (aux) sockets). The unit stands on a rubberised base which carries FCC, CE and RoHs compliance marks.I tested this unit with an iPhone, a UMG Iron Android smartphone, an iPad and a Nokia 920 - pairing was easy and successful first time with all 4 devices including the Nokia which used NFC to pair. The Bluetooth connection was stable over a decent range and even in the room next door. The proportionately generous battery gives the unit plenty of longevity and it lasted the claimed 8 hours in my tests. Most importantly the sound quality is surprisingly good for such a slim, compact unit. The two drivers delivered an open sound with good quality vocals and upper range. The bass also asserted itself positively considering the size of the unit - I'm not saying it will rattle the windows but the bass end is there and contributes to a satisfying listening experience. The volume level is reasonable too and will suit an average room under normal listening conditions.Considering the price point and size of this speaker TaoTronics have really done a good job in delivering decent sound from a small, slim package. Also, as it is waterproof this unit is an ideal bathroom speaker especially as also features mobile phone call handling which is easy to manage plus clear sounding. In summary, this is a well-crafted, stylish and competent sounding Bluetooth speaker relative to its size and price - TaoTronics have done a good job in delivering decent sound from a compact, stylish unit. Recommended.(Disclosure: I received a heavily discounted review sample - the text above reflects my honest opinion of the speaker).

*Update* Since I wrote this review, I have discovered an unfortunate problem, when using it with a PC soundcard (SB Z) and optical. It appears that there is an odd timing issue, as the sound cut out for a split second on occasion. I couldn't replicate this on a normal TV connection, nor with Bluetooth, so I can only presume there is an issue with Dolby Live on my soundcard, and this soundbar. So I'll be returning it. It may well work fine with a standard analogue connection - however there are cheaper 2.1 speakers out there which are analogue only.So I was looking for a soundbar to use as PC speakers. I use a Soundblaster Z soundcard with optical output,so a system which could make use of this was pretty important to me.Undocumented feature of this soundbar is it can decode Dolby Live, which is very nice, especially considering the current price of the speaker (£69 right now). It does not appear to be able to handle DTS, which might irritating if you have a bluray player hooked up, and isn't able to output Dolby.Sound quality is not bad. It has a couple of passive bass reflex outputs which, while adequate, cannot possibly replace a proper subwoofer. The main issue with this soundbar is, as usual, the lack of midrange. There is plenty of highs and lows, but trying to get a mid balance, especially for music, is difficult. Fiddling with the equalizer, i managed to get Pink Floyd Shine on you Crazy Diamond sounding fairly good, but midrange is seriously lacking. Pearl Jam, Evenflow fared a little better, but I found I had to reduce the overall output level to avoid clipping. (actually it sounds pretty good). Dire Straits, Sultans of Swing is ok, however, the lack of decent bass drivers shows here, with a very hollow tone rather than the deep bass you'd expect. Bear in mind I am using a graphic equalizer to get the best out of the sound - many TV's and bluray players don't have this luxury, and there are no presets - or indeed any settings at all on this soundbar.Watching TV shows through it is adequate. Movies are also acceptable, except for the aforementioned bass issues - it's very difficult to get it to sound less muddy. However, considering there is no separate bass driver, and the overall quality of the sound, I would suggest it's probably a good choice for those willing to take a cut in sound quality for the current price. It certainly sounds better than many soundbars in it's current price range. For a PC setup, it is still far more realistic to opt for separate 2.1 speakers if possible. I chose a soundbar due to lack of space, and wires. I will likely keep the TauTronics soundbar as, ultimately, I can make it work for me when I would rather not use my headphones. Keep in mind it has bluetooth, which is always a bonus for those with a mobile phone and Spotify or similar, and it's not really a bad deal.

This blew me away. Sound quality’s important to me, and I wouldn’t normally bother with anything this small, but sometimes when you’re out and about, or maybe away on holiday, larger speakers just aren’t a practical possibility. Nobody wants to lug an enormous heavy speaker around unless it’s absolutely unavoidable.Well it’s no longer unavoidable with devices like this around. I did try a cheapy some time ago, and it just didn’t cut it, so it ended in the dustbin, but this one’s now got pride of place in the dining room as a quick and easy sound source. It wasn’t intended to live there, but it’s too good, frankly, just to put away between times.I tested this out fully with the wife for a second opinion. She was impressed too with its size and sound quality – but even more impressed with its neatness and understated looks. She doesn’t like flash looking stuff. We tried it out all over the house, out in the garden on a rainy day, and even took it away with us on a weekend break. It behaved perfectly, connecting quickly to the phone and taking up very little space in the suitcase. It’s shockproof to withstand falls, and even rainproof up to a point – light rain only. The battery lasts for around 8 hours, and can be quickly recharged – no expensive batteries to worry about, and just a simple Micro-USB cable (provided) to carry with you. There’s also a user manual, and an AUX cable (along with matching AUX input) if you want a physical link. The range is around 10m (a bit less around the house) and there’s also NFC instant-link pairing. The Bluetooth 4.0 works exceptionally well, though, and you probably won’t go beyond that in practice. The dual stereo speakers work wonders – incredibly good and loud sound for such a small box. It’s never going to fill a concert hall, but it’s excellent for most normal purposes in and around the house, or in the car. Great for the kids in the back of the car if they don’t like your choice of music – which they won’t!TaoTronics gives you a 12 months warranty, plus a further 6 months extension if you register the speaker (mine was a discounted reviewer’s sample for evaluation). There’s also 24/7 technical support should you need it – though that’s unlikely in my experience. It gives a real impression of solidity and reliability, and in reality there’s not a lot that can go wrong with it.This little speaker is a gem – incredible sound quality from such a neat package.

This little speaker is amazing. I was surprised that it's relatively small (just over 6" long, 2.5" tall and about 1" deep). The output is 6W and I'd expected something a little larger. It's very nicely presented in quality card box, neatly wrapped inside with a charger cable and aux connection lead. There's a very good user manual; shiny cover, double stapled booklet rather than the often badly written leaflet that accompanies some items like this. It would make a good looking gift and the build of the speaker is excellent. It's matte black with a rubbery type finish giving it a soft feel. Nice rounded corners, all in all, a very stylish, elegant unit.It would sit anywhere without looking out of place.I put it on charge for a couple hours; a red light shows its charging. The charging port is well protected on the side of the unit. I used my phone charger to boot it up, because it was handy. The power and volume buttons are large and responsive, set on the top of the unit, clearly marked and very easy to use. Pairing was a cinch. A blue flashing light showed it was ready to pair, and I've set it up successfully with an iPad, iPod and Android phone. The blue flashing stops and a beep shows pairing complete. As for sound, it's a real powerhouse, way beyond my expectations. The volume is louder than another portable speaker I have. I'm amazed by the quality. The bass is excellent, rich and deep but the mid and treble tones are distinct too. I've also used the aux cable to connect an old Sony Walkman which isn't Bluetooth. The jack connections are firm and there's no annoying background hiss (which I get on an expensive Sony speaker!). I'm absolutely delighted with this speaker. I've listened to music tracks and audible books and performance for both is outstanding. Because it's so easy to set up and move around, this is going to be my speaker of choice for the foreseeable. It'll be great in the garden and it looks very water resistant so I'll certainly try it out in the bathroom. I'm confident that it's going to give long service; Taotronics will extend the warranty to 18 months when the speaker is registered, which is a nice touch. I was offered a sample to test in return for an honest review and I've no hesitation in saying this speaker is outstanding value for both performance and cost.

This TaoTronics Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker is small but perfectly formed, with perforated metal front and rear panels topped and bottomed with silicon bumpers, making it reasonably bump-proof too. The micro-USB charge port and an AUX audio input are kept weatherproof under a little flap on the side, next to the power button, and on the top are three buttons which work as Play/Pause, Volume Up and Down and also let you skip songs. There’s also an NFC spot to make it easy to pair with your smartphone and a microphone so you can make/take phone-calls using the speaker while it’s paired. Although it’s called a waterproof speaker the quoted IPX4 rating really translates as splash-proof not fully waterproof,so if you get caught in the rain there’s no big panic but don’t drop the speaker into a puddle. The sound quality is nothing special but is still quite impressive for a speaker this small and this affordable and at full volume it’s quite room-filling, although it tends to start breaking up if you crank it too high. It’s a very mid-range based sound with no really deep bass and a somewhat muffled high-end too but it’s good for vocals and other mid-range sounds, so if you like audiobooks or talk-radio it would be a great choice. It does go quite loud but somehow always sounds a bit flat and un-dynamic. When the music stops, like between tracks, the speaker mutes the sound with an audible click and then when the music starts again there can be a momentary delay before the speaker wakes up again. I think this is really a Bluetooth power-saving feature and this speaker isn’t really any worse than others I’ve tried, but it’s worth knowing that this happens especially if, for example, you wanted to use it as a computer speaker as you can completely miss short alert sounds. On the plus side the wide and flat design means that you get a better stereo spread than most small Bluetooth speakers, at least as long as you’re positioned in front of it. For background music or talk it remains very listenable most of the time and maybe I’m being over critical - you certainly have to bear the price in mind and to be fair it’s great to get a speaker which sounds this good and is also portable, weatherproof and decently made at this kind of price.Disclosure: item was received free for independent review

I've had plenty of TaoTronics equipment in the past, from small bluetooth earphones to noise cancelling headphones - though even with plenty faith in this value-brand I debated buying this soundbar to extend the life of 11year old LCD TV where the speakers were shot.I was worried the sound would underperform a high quality TV, the remote would be Bluetooth, and the Taotronics Logo / Central Control would look cheap - how wrong I was.The sound is a marked improvement on any of the inbuilt speakers in LED / LCD TVs I've had from Samsung / Sony / Panasonic, especially at higher volumes. The remote is IR so you can reprogram your remote or buy a universal remote to control the soundbar seamlessly. The unit looks smart, the logo in the bottom right corner is smart / non intrusive. The controls in the middle of the unit have a brushed gun metal look, a darker shade of silver than the Amazon photos would suggest.I couldn't be happier with this purchase - another fantastic value item from TaoTronics.I only have one small area for potential improvement - whilst this unit can be wall mounted (unlike most at this price point) it would be fantastic if the unit came with screw-in-mounts, rather than just screw-hooks (like found on the back of extension plugs, etc). I've wall mounted the TV in question, and used a bracket to hang the speaker underneath. The lack of screw-in-holes in this unit meant I needed to use bolts and wingnuts to tighten the bracket under tension (by no means rocket science, just a fiddle). For my specific setup (11 year old LCD, wall mounted) two extra purchases have made my setup all the better. The first is the "Mounting Dream Soundbar Bracket" from Amazon, it has a large variety of nuts and bolts that made fitting this soundbar under the TV possible. The second experience enhancer is a "One for All Universal Remote" - my TV has no optical out, and unsurprisingly this very cost-reasonable speaker doesn't have hdmi-pass-through. So my only option is traditional digital / analogue (lef/right) sound cables. The best option I've found for a smooth experience is a universal remote that can be programmed so that the sound button controls the soundbar, whilst the other buttons control the TV (with the TV's speaker set to zero).

I was sent this product by the manufacturer to test, give an honest review and keep.I have reviewed many products from the TaoTronic range over the last 3 years and have always found them to be of good quality, fairly price, with great after sales service. Their focus on the customer experience is commendable. So when I was offered this small compact speaker to test, I jumped at the chance. This speaker comes in a quality box, which contains the speaker, small pin leads and charging cable. The speaker itself is small and a kind of rectangular shape It is a very simple design, with an on/off button, pause/play, fast forward, rewind buttons on the top, and a charging port and small pin headphone socket on the side. The small speaker sits behind a fine mesh façade. Overall the speaker looks like a small black brick, it is impressive and is sleek in design and clearly made from quality materials. This small speaker packs an incredible punch. I have 3 Bose units and the one that comes close to this speaker is over 6 times more expensive and the sound it produces is marginally better. There is no distortion, it has very good bass and treble for its size. I have tried the speaker with Pop, Classical and vocal pieces of music and there was no distortion and the sound reproduction was very good at all times. The usual downside to speakers of this size, is depth of sound. The reproduction with this unit is fantastic and due to the configuration of the speakers within the unit, there is a lot more depth to the sound than the size would suggest. This is as close as it comes to true Hi-Fi sound from a small £20 speaker. Listening to the music coming from this, it is not that obvious it is coming from just one speaker. Whilst the music is very good, its not quite on a par with the Bose unit, but at the price this is offered at, the difference is marginal. At the price of this unit and given its size, I think this is exceptionally good. I am very happy to recommend this product if you want a small speaker which reproduces HiFi sound. Highly Recommended.Recommended.

Wanted to get one of these as have been getting a little fed up with poor sound from the TV in the bedroom - not only for watching but also tend to use it quite a bit for radio and also music and the tiny built in speakers were just not doing this justice. Have used TaoTronic items in the past so did not expect to be disappointed. In short I was not. The unit is small and unobtrusive, fits well below the television - could easily be wall mounted (which would I am sure enhance the sound even more) but since the TV is freestanding......!Very easy to connect up - you get the choice of Bluetooth or hard wired, whichever you prefer. I have hard wired the TV into the unit and this enables me to have quick and easy option to connect phone /laptop via Bluetooth as and when needed. Found the whole process very easy and simple - as with all TaoTronic products I have used, the pairing process is easy and straightforward. The sound quality was excellent - exactly what I had hoped for. Much richer and fuller then the inbuilt and it as really enhanced the experience of watching TV - whether the news or a film! The spoken word on radio sounds much much better and music is a a delight to listen to.Control of the volume can either be through the unit itself or its remote control - both approaches are easy and responsive. The design of the unit fits well with my TV (its a 32 inch Sony if anyone needed to know) and does not distract. Small lights indicate operation but do not distract and give you the reassurance of seeing that the unit is responding if you increase or decrease the volume. In short a neat unit that has the ability to produce an impressive level of sound, without distortion and maintaining clarity. It was easy to setup and an absolute doddle to use - bluntly very little else needs to be said - you need to hear this not read about it! :)Would have no hesitation in recommending this unit to all.

This speaker is literally amazing!!!!It is 40 watts total... good size... has all the inputs one would want. And it can be mounted to the wall. I bought this because I wanted a nice speaker in my bathroom. So I hung it up on my wall and got an extension ac cord to hide the wiring. Now every morning I wake up happier because I can listen to real music while I get ready with good sound rather than just settle for using my iphone speakers. I will not lie and say this is the same as buying a Bose speaker that has 100 watts... but for the price??? and for what I am using it for?? yes absolutely you cannot at all go wrong with this speaker. Its light... easy to use... easy to install... has a remote...I literally have zero complaints on this item and am so happy I decided to buy it. The cord you see in the picture attached is now replaced with a white cord that I ran under the speaker and down the mirror so you can see it less... I plan to cover it with one of those cord runner things that hide wires if you know what I am talking about ( Ie, make it look less tacky).UPDATE: So now it has been a few weeks I have been using the speaker in my bathroom. I have secured the wire to the outlet with clips... it still looks semi janky but it will do the trick. Again, I am happy with my purchase. It is better than using a crappy bluetooth speaker that I have to charge. This is nicely secured to the wall. Has good base. Has good sound overall. It is not a bose speaker but it is still very very decent. The only complaint I would have is that the volume resets when you turn it off... meaning that if I turn on the speaker and put the volume up to 10 lets say... when I turn the speaker off and turn it on again when I use it next.. the volume goes back to the preset level.

I was really looking forward to this product arriving, as my fiancé has been wanting a wireless Bluetooth speaker for ages. When it arrived, the speaker was well packaged inside a brown box. I hate it when items have wasteful packaging and this doesn't at all. Inside the box, was a set of instructions, the speaker, one charging cable and an aux cable. The speaker looks far more expensive than the £22.99 it currently sells for. The instructions have a set of easy to follow steps written in English. The speaker worked straight out of the box without charging and seamlessly connected to the bluetooth on my iPhone, after holding down the power button for a couple of seconds to turn it on.It makes a noise to turn on/off and there is a faint blue light to show power. I was a little worried about the sound quality of a cheap speaker, but actually it sounded great and I was pleasantly surprised. I only turned it on to test it before giving it to my fiancé but I ended up listening for hours! Between songs, the speaker makes a clicking sort of noise, which does get a little annoying, but is really the only downside I have found. I have since charged it, which was easy enough. The blue power light turns red when it is charging.I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for an honest review, and this genuinely hasn't affected my opinion of this speaker at all. I would not hesitate to buy another at full price as I think this is a fair price for a great little speaker.

I have been using these speakers for over a week now and i am very impressed!Pros:-The item has a very nice presentation making it suitable for a gift- It comes with an AUX cable plus a charging cable and the manual with a warranty card. The manual is very descriptive- I like the LED indicator as it tells you when the device is running low, when its being charged and when it is fully charged. it also flashes when it is searching for your device- The NFC is a very nice touch. I have a samsung galaxy S6 edge and it works great. All i need to do is slap it on and it connects via Bluetooth.- I get about 8 hours of use and it takes roughly 3 hours to fully charge again- The sound quality is great!very clear with good bass- I have not put it directly in water but i use it in the rain while i do my workout outdoors and it seems to still be fine- what i really like though is how easy it is to use and i have had no issues at all.- the speaker is quite small and is very portable. As i use it outdoors i do drop it at times but i have not seen any marks, it is very durable. It has a rubber top and bottom which provides protection.- Buttons at the top work and are very useful.Cons:- I have no issues with the item but it would be nice if it came with a small bag to carry it in.Over all these are great, would definitely recommend!

I received the first unit which functioned only on Bluetooth - having tried a few different devices & cables, I was certain the unit was faulty for some reason.I contacted Amazon for assistance who were, to be honest, not very good. The item was bought on a lightning deal and Amazon weren't prepared to assist with any way of providing a replacement or allowing me to buy at the same price. As a last resort, I contacted TaoTronics, not holding out much hope as a lot of marketplace sellers are poor when it comes to aftersales.I'm please to say TT are not one of those, their response was prompt and they sent a replacement unit, FOC, very quickly - which is now set up and working perfectly. The item itself, whilst not mind blowing on the bass front, is a superb addition to any TV speaker.I've got a surround system which isn't toddler proof and so I needed something to tide me over until said toddler stops toddling - this soundbar is a perfect fill for that void. The fact you've got multiple inputs is quite a rare feature at this price point and has proven useful for us.Very impressed and would recommend TaoTronics, very anker-esque with their approach which makes me very happy.

This soundbar is perfect for my application. It sits nicely underneath the monitor, on the monitor stand. So doesn't take up much room, which is really important for me with limited desk space. It's pretty wide - check the measurements, but is much better than the old speakers beside the monitor, that were always in the way.It replaces a Logitech 5:1 surround sound system and the sound quality is just as good. I tried switching beween the two to compare. In fact, for a desk setup this is better than surround sound because you can hear deep voices more clearly with the sound turned down low.I'm not an audio expert, so can't give very technical description but the sound is really good. Balanced, not tinny or bass-booming.The volume goes up quite loud - sitting near it I have it turned down close to minimum.I like that it doesn't have an annoying screen or anything - the LED display lights are small and unobtrusive. They tell you what the input is, on or standby and an idea of the volume. It will blow cheaper PC speakers out of the room for sound quality! After a few weeks of daily use, I can't find fault with this unit. Yay!! :)
