Smooth, but course enough for the mouse. You can take sandpaper to it, and it'll hold just fine. I would suggest removing the rubber tabs from the bottom of the mouse if you have them. My mouse has plastic as well as aluminum underside so it glides like it's on air. Mouse pad is not too heavy, but heavy enough to not shift when you're moving your mouse. It looks twice as cool as it does in the photo. I ordered mine expecting the Tt logo in the bottom, but instead I got the one with the TtEsports dragon in the bottom right. It looks like a tribal tattoo. Very sick. 10/10 never had a better mousepad.

I purchased this mouse mat to replace an old xtrac mat for gaming. While xtrac mats in my opinion make better gaming mats, they are a bit more expensive so I thought I would give this one a try. It is a pretty decent sized mat for gaming and has a soft surface and rubber coating on the underside. I use a laser mouse and I have had no tracking issues at all with this mat. With plenty of room it makes for a great mid-level gaming mat. If you are more hard-core you may want to go with an xtrac pad, but for most gamers this mat will do just fine.

Bought this as a gift for my brother and he loves it! It's roomy, stays in place, and the mouse glides over it smoothly without sliding over it, and believe me, there's a huge difference between the two! My only irk is the obnoxious white stripe along the curved edge. I was hoping to get one exactly like mine (it doesn't have that white stripe), since my brother would always make a joke about stealing it or being able to give it a better home, and while it works just as well, cosmetically, it's not as pretty.

I was doing some research looking for a new mouse pad that had style and functionality. I am glad I purchased this mouse pad when it went on sale. For $25.00 it is a great deal, however I would not pay more than $30 for a mouse pad. There is a dragon symbol on it that is not displayed in the picture on the website. However I like it!

Excellent pad for the price.. Materials could be better, as the edges can fray after heavy use, but the size and feel is great.. This particular one is big enough to feel like a large pad, but not too big so it takes up the whole desk!Thumbs up!

This is my first pad, so i wouldnt commend much. otherwise, the white edge do look a little off. looks like its whitering or something like that. Comes with a little carry case too. Overall good purchase.

this came quickly and my son absolutely loves it. its very large - larger than his laptop so i wasn't sure what he would think - and he loves it and many of his friends want it

I don't think I've ever had such a comfortable mouse pad. It's smooth and its big enough that I don't need to worry about hitting the edges when I'm gaming.
