I purchased my Steelseries Qck about a year ago now, I use it daily for both gaming and day to day computer use. I have the standard Qck but I feel a lot about buying a mouse mat is personal preference with size, weight, price etc. Now the Steelseries Qck, Steelseries have quite a lot to say about this mousemat. For instance “the clear choice of all PC gaming.” and “the ideal mouse pad for every gamer preferring cloth surfaces.” I think it’s quite interesting to see what someone thinks about these claims. So let’s run through what it is, well it’s not your average mouse mat you buy from the supermarket. This mouse mat costs £9 and I can see why. It measures 320x270x2mm; has a non-slip rubber base and a cloth surface.I remember as soon as I opened the box the mouse mat felt premium. I felt as if I had bought one of the best mouse mats on the market. The cloth is very tightly weaved and the rubber is textured quite heavily. The rubber is also embossed with multiple Steelseries logos. Now the box this product comes in is long and thin; having the mouse mat rolled up inside, with a couple Steelseries stickers which is always nice. This is important to note because of this the mouse mat will have bumps when it is first rolled out. However the mat is still usable and these disappeared in less than a week, making the mat completely flat. The mouse mat itself is black with a small white Steelseries logo in the bottom left. It has rounded corners. I really like this somewhat understated design because I feel it would fit into any room. When I’m using the mat there is no noise from my mouse moving, lifting or placing. Noise is common with hard mats and in a few cloth mats too. The mat is incredibly light but i have never had an issue with it slipping even slightly. This is particularly important in a gaming mouse mat because if the mat moves with your mouse your cursor doesn’t move as far as your mouse does, when millimeters can be a win or loss you don’t want to risk that. Over the last year or so I have really enjoyed using this mouse mat and I actually agree with what Steelseries say about it. For me it’s the perfect size. The cloth feels very nice to rest on and most of all it is incredibly precise. Even after a year of daily use. I feel it is amazing value for money and I even thought it was a little expensive when purchasing it. This mouse mat has had me slam my mouse on it, things placed on it and even drinks spilt on it. It still works perfectly, so I can’t fault it. One of the best purchases I have ever made.If this review helped, please let us know :)Any questions, just ask!Check out our Amazon accountDo you want your products to be reviewed?Business: [email protected] by Shane

This is a review for the "Gaming" edition of this mouse pad. I've owned this pad for about 3 weeks at the time of this review.I bought this mouse pad because my cheap mouse was having difficulty tracking on my previous one (CM Storm Speed RX Small). This is the only other gaming mouse pad I have owned, so I can only make comparisons between the two of them. This pad is a lot larger than a standard mouse pad, so make sure you have the desk space before buying. It measures ~32cm across and ~27cm up, which is quite a bit bigger than my previous pad. I didn't buy it specifically because I wanted a bigger pad, but after having used it I wouldn't go back,as I personally now find playing on lower sensitivity and using the whole width of the mouse pad to suit me better. At 600DPI, the width allows me to comfortably move between two monitors without having to lift the mouse. I play CS:GO at 600DPI and 2.5 ingame sensitivity, which allows for a full 180 turn without lifting the mouse on this pad.The glide that this mouse pad provides is excellent, much better than using the mouse directly on the desk. As I previously mentioned, I bought this mouse pad because my previous one was having tracking issues. This pad provides a much better surface, almost completely eliminating the issues I was having (I eventually ended up buying a new mouse, but that is no fault of the mousepad, as the new mouse I bought tracks 100% flawlessly on the surface). The bottom of the mouse pad has a rubber non slip base, which does its job. The edges of the pad are not stitched, but I've personally never had an issue with the edges coming apart on other mouse pads I've owned, so this isn't a big deal for me.The pad is quite thin, and doesn't feel too "spongy" when pressed, presumably to provide a firmer surface for better glide. I imagine this could be a problem if you want to use the pad on a bumpy of uneven surface, as bumps underneath the pad won't be cushioned out. The thinness has the advantage of making the pad very flexible though, which means it flattens out quickly after being rolled up and doesn't curl at the edges. One strange issue I've noticed is that the logo in the bottom left is quite large and printed on with a rubbery material, which causes friction and slows the mouse down if moved over it. This in effect means that the very bottom left corner of the pad is unusable. This has never bothered me whilst actually playing, but it's still worth mentioning.Overall though, this is a great pad that feels amazing to use due to it's smooth glide, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a mouse pad that has the desk space and a flat surface to use it on.

(Scroll to the bottom to see the pros and cons)I love this mouse mat! Had it for a couple months now, couldn't be happier! Its very big; you'll never run out of mouse room, which can be a big problem when playing with low dpi/sensitivity. My previous mouse mat was a Razer Goliathus Medium Control, and this is a MASSIVE step up. My Razer Deathadder glides across it, but you still have complete control. It doesn't glide like a hard mouse mat (eg Razer Firefly), which I was really worried about when I purchased it. The mat itself is a very high quality smooth fabric, and although it is very thin (2mm), I don't find this a problem, however some people might.Performance:I LOVE playing with this mouse mat.My gameplay has improved drastically, and I couldn't be happier. I'm a regular CS:GO player (play it pretty much daily), and this mouse mat works perfectly. Hitting sexy flicks with the AWP is so much easier, and controlling recoil is a breeze. I cannot fault it at all in terms of gameplay. The bottom of the mouse mat is indeed sticky, so it will never move while you are playing.Packaging:The packaging is pretty standard. The mat comes rolled up and comes with two small SteelSeries stickers. A common problem that a lot of people have (including me) is that the mat is indeed rolled up, this means that when you unroll it it may stick up at the corners, or bevels may be visible. My mat had bevels (although to be honest they were barely visible), and one corner stuck up a bit. After about an hour the mat flattened out. They weren't annoying nor did they affect gameplay or usage in any way, which is a relief. Don't let this deter you from buying! This is a minuscule problem that sorts itself out very quickly, and they aren't always visible anyway.Overall:I absolutely adore this mouse mat. Great value for money, my gameplay has improved, it works perfectly with most - if not all - gaming mice, very big! I rate this mouse mat 11/10! :)PROS:-Very big mouse mat-Works amazingly with most gaming mice (including my Razer Deathadder Chroma)-Great quality smooth fabric material-Very thin-Washable (I think)-Perfect for all games (especially CS:GO)-Looks aesthetically pleasing (and goes great with all set ups)-Fantastic value for moneyCONS:-Comes folded up, may cause visible bevels or corners to stick up (which sort themselves out after an hour or 2)-Collects dust pretty easily (due to the material, but it is washable and easily cleanable)-May be too thin or big for some people-Possibly inconvenient for travel (eg. LAN events)

Holy where to start... I got this mousepad today after ordering yesterday with 1-day delivery. Bearing in mind I had tracking issues with my G700s with my old Razer Goliathus Alpha Control Edition (low sense at high speeds it would not register all the movements), this had to live up to the test. Unfortunately, whilst this was much better, it still had the same problems at high speeds. (Perhaps this would happen to most laser mice on cloth pads). I doubt it was my mouse being faulty, because I used the back of a hardback book as a comparison and my mouse tracked perfectly at the same speed. The surface is very smooth,it feels like my mouse is gliding along air and out of the box the mat is of course rolled up but this hasn't been a problem after a few minutes; it's almost flat all the way. Also the pad itself is very thick which acts like a nice cushion for the wrist especially for most gamers who don't use a wrist rest for the sake of being in the way a lot of the time. There are no anti-fraying edges like my old Razer pad used to have, so one can question how this will last over time.I can only assume this pad will be perfect for most if not all optical mice, which on the whole track better on cloth and less even surfaces, unlike laser mice which tend to be better on hard even surfaces. This pad has been a real joy to use, but unfortunately for myself I will be returning it, and opting for a Logitech G440 instead - hopefully that will be fine.I would still recommend this despite the problem I had - For most who use optical mice / don't play that low sensitivity, you shouldn't really have any problems. But if you do own a laser mouse, be wary. I didn't notice at first, but when I played CS:GO (Counter Strike), an FPS on which I use fairly low sensitivity, where I use pretty much all the pad when turning around, it's pretty clear. A full swipe does about 270 degrees of movement but when doing this very fast it only did about 100-180 degrees. So something to consider there...

This is a really great value mouse mat for those with gaming in mind, as the size is really useful for pretty much only that task. Obviously, this is the mat for low sens gamers, steer clear if you use a high sens, as you will be wasting most of the space of the mat (which is the largest I have used).Bear in mind, this mat is not one for an extremely smooth glide, like most hard pads such as an Exactmat or a roccat sota. This pad is akin to the control version of the razer goliathus, not the speed, which is most certainly a faster mat. This mat does have a lot of friction, but I personally prefer this, as it allows a greater sense of control, perfect for lining up an easy meatshot 8).However this is not to say the friction impedes speedy movement. I found reflex flicking to be possible, in addition to tracking (which was execptional for both my microsoft habu and razer deathadder 1800dpi - laser and optical sensors, respectively). This is very much an old school mouse pad, being extremely comfortable (as all cloth pads are), and with reasonable friction which to me helps accuracy and low-sens a great deal.Mouse mats are very much down to preference, and one's gaming style, yet if you use low sens, find yourself annoyingly having to lift up your mouse in hectic situations, don't want an extreme glide, and love the comfort of a cloth pad, then the steelseries qck+ is perfect. To summarise:Pros: -HUGE-Medium Friction-ComfortableCons: -Perhaps the glide that some people might want.-HUGE, please measure your desk to see if you have enough space first. In short, this is the best mousepad I have used to date. And plus, how can you go wrong with a mousepad that rapha, world quake live champion, uses ? (actually I think he uses the qck heavy, but that's for lans etc - the surface of the mat is the same) :D

I've actually owned a smaller version of this mat for quite a while now. The reason I bought another is that I left it at home (temporarily donated it to my parent's office PC, forgot to pick it up), and know that I'll get more of the same good quality by sticking with this product. Initially I tried to use my mouse (Razer Deathadder) directly on my flat's smooth white table, and it didn't even give any response. Similarly, using your mouse on a wooden desk will give poor results due to small pits and bumps in the desk's surface. Until this mat arrived, the best I could do was use an Economist magazine - which worked - slightly! Now that I've got the mat, there's no problems at all.To use this product, all you have to do is open the tube, take out the mat and lay it on your desk, wipe off any dirt (mine had a few little bits on that came off instantly), and then you're away!My mouse's DPI is set to something comfortable for me, and to go from one side of the screen to the other I only have to rotate my hand side to side. So, the mat is far larger than it needs to be - the smaller version works perfectly well, and is spatially much more economical.I've got my mouse in the middle of the mat, and the bottom of the mat provides a very nice cushion for the base of my hand and my wrist. It's much more comfortable than being flat on the desk. I guess you could trim off some excess to use as pads in front of your keyboard, though this may compromise the mat's structural integrity. If your mat gets dirty, a little soap and water works very well. It took me a long time to need to wash my old one, though.Very happy with this product, and it's the one I'll recommend to anyone

I generally try to give at least a month of use from a product before I write a review. I don't feel I could give accurate feedback on a product I had just freshly unboxed, which seems to be part of the problem for some people.I will agree, the packaging does seem strange. When I first pulled it from the box, it was curled very tightly and the corners liked to roll back up again. I loosely rolled the mat the other way, unrolled it again and laid it flat on my desk, and the grip on the bottom of the mouse mat corrected the curls. Ever since then, I have never had a problem with this mouse mat curling up. I don't even think curling it the other way was necessary, the bottom of this mat has some serious grip on it.I suppose my desk is made from real wood, so that may have an effect on it.I purchased this product to go with my SteelSeries Rival Optical Gaming Mouse, and they work well together.I doubt it would be a hard task, this mouse is insanely good with surfaces, but the mouse just glides over it. I play with a fairly high sensitivity, so it's nice to have no resistance from the surface. I bought the smallest size, and its perfect for my needs. For a reference, it's your typical mousemat size. If you've ever had a mousemat provided with anything, or ever seen one in an office or library, then you will know what I'm talking about. Yes, that size you're thinking of now. That's the one. Seriously. There is not much you can say about a gaming surface, but I seem to have managed quite a few words. I recommended this to my housemate, who purchased the size up from mine, and that is also perfect (he is using a Roccat Kone, works fine).

This was the first mouse pad I had ever bought and so far I am extremely satisfied with it. I had never seen the real appeal of a mouse pad. Now I can't use my mouse without it. Using a mouse on an "abrasive" surface such as a table does not feel that nice and does damage the mouse (as I found out).Pros and Cons:Pros:Surface: The surface of this mouse pad is extremely nice. It has a very soft texture, which may not be to everyone's liking, but it suited me fine. The underside of the mouse pad stuck to the table well and I had no problems with the mouse pad moving during use.Thin-ness: Unlike other mouse pads this one is very thin making it easy to transport.Cons:Size: This is a "mini" mouse pad so the size is quite small.I had no problems playing on it, but I do play on a higher sensitivity. If you do play with a lower mouse sensitivity this mat may not be for you.================================================================================================================Bottom line:This is an extremely good mouse pad in terms of quality. If you travel a lot or need mouse pad you can use on the go, I would definitely recommend this to you. If you are a desktop PC user I would look for bigger mouse pad that is less portable. If you play on a lower sensitivity then I cannot recommend this to you as it is too small. All in all this is a great mouse pad for laptop users. If you have any questions don't hesitate to comment below, I will try to answer them. I was a little wary buying this mouse mat after reading some of the previous reviews but I thought I would take a chance with it.It did arrive in a small package rolled up very tightly and yes when it was unrolled there were a number of crinkles. I ended up thinking 'uh oh the reviews were right'. But I left it unrolled without using it for around a week and all of the dents and crinkles disappeared and it is now perfectly flat. I guess it isn't ideal when you buy a mouse mat to have to put it on one side for a length of time but I didn't need it urgently so it wasn't a problem. To be honest the crinkles weren't that bad and I would have been happy to use it straight away. What I love about this mouse mat is its size.It is significantly bigger than most mouse mats you tend to get. I think I must have wandering mouse hands because when using a standard sized mouse mat I regularly find my mouse going over the edge of it. That hasn't happened with this mat.The other really big positive about this mat is how thin it is. Again, most traditional mats are a good few mm thick. I suffer with RSI and even the thickness of standard mouse mats means that my wrist is held at an unnatural angle and starts to ache after any length of time. This mat is so thin that my wrist can rest flat against the desk surface. The mat has a cloth style finish which I much prefer over the shiny plastic style mats. I find that the mouse moves much more accurately over this type of surface.Overall I was really pleased with it and purchased a second one for my husband.

So I purchased this mouse mat, and since doing so would not go back to an alternative.I have had Razer Mouse Mats and Corsair Mousemats but this has been my favorite by far. I'm not a fan (at all) of hard mousemats so this "cloth" mousemat was perfect for me. I will say that I very quickly replaced this one, with a normal sized QcK as the mini is literally the size of a piece of bread. Not great for gaming. However I repurchased and got the bigger version, keeping the mini for use at work. The sticky at the bottom of the mousemat is VERY durable and the mousemat doesn't move around your desk whilst gaming. I use this predominantly for FPS and MOBA's and it performs great in both settings.I have noticed, after a while of use it can start to irritate your hand a little, slightly like the cloth is beginning to rub. Also, when it first arrives it does come very tightly packed and is packed wrapped up. This means for the first couple of days, it may not sit perfectly flush to the desk, as the ends are still slightly curved. However this quickly disappears and sites very nicely on the desk.I use this with the SteelSeries Rival 300 Mouse and they look great together.I'd love to see an RGB version of a cloth mouse mat, and think this could easily be done by using the standard hardbase RGB mouse mats have, but then using cloth for the actual surface.I would definitely recommend this product, and would re-purchase if I needed to.

This is actually the first mouse mat i have ever bought in my life. To be honest i did not see any point in buying one when because i thought you could easily just use your desk so why buy a mouse mat? Well I suppose that works for some people but the thing is i also bought a new desk and the surface does not work well with my laser mouse so i was forced to buy a mouse mat. It took me a few weeks to choose this one because i did not know much about them i only knew about the cheap plastic ones that a lot of people seem to buy. With the cool patterns and designs. This mousemat has a special surface which makes it easier for you to move your mouse around it is very smooth so you require less mouse movement. This is very good for design work and gaming. My primary use for it was going to be designing in Photoshop and Programming in a code editor. The mat is big enough so i have space to move but it does not take up a lot of space or look out of place on my desk. It is also fairly thin and does not move about on the desk when you have your mouse on it. I dont have to worry about scratching up my desk either because my mouse will always be on the mat. I think the only major negative i can think of is that it can be a dust magnet although you can just clean it with a cloth and that fixes the dust problem.

Bought this after a friend reported that my Logitech Performance Mouse was wearing down the varnish on his dining table when gaming at his house. Came rolled up and still hasn't become 100% completely flat but in use the slight ripple in the mat doesn't affect mouse tracking or movement. Very light and easy to throw in laptop bag. Feels silky smooth after having just been using bare surfaces of desks/tables/arms of furniture for a long time. Good at the price as other more basic unbranded products are around about the same price point. Have to wait and see how it bares up under wear and tear but looks to be of good quality manufacturing.Update 2016:------------------I've just ordered anotherof these having used them since 2011 and a second since 2013 for a variety of mice:Madcat RATZ MMO mouse, Logitech Performance MX, Logitech G602, Logitech MX Anywhere2.Gifted my second mat bought 2013 to a friend a while back after getting a Razer Sphex hard surface for my desktop at home. After years of use this mat is still working great but has gotten a bit dirty over the years, getting a replacement for under £4 is a bargain.Highly recommended and the mini size is great for sticking in a laptop bag or even in small case with my MS Surface Pro 3 and the Logitech MX anywhere2.

The purpose of a mouse pad could be debated, but it is essential to provide a comfortable, flat surface to allow your mouse to move easily, whether that is for gaming, or everyday office type work. I decided to give the SteelSeries QcK mouse pad a go, given how much I have heard about the quality of their products. I was not disappointed and I have invested in a second which I have at work. For the price, I recommend that you do the same. The mouse pad is larger than most, measuring 320mm x 270mm and is very thin, measuring just 2mm. The durable material makes the mouse pad particularly comfortable and smooth to use but I do find that I have to brush it (once every few weeks) to keep it clean.Even though the mouse pad only weighs 9g, the rubber base stops it from sliding around your desk (like the older cheaper mouse pads I recall from my younger days). The mouse pad comes rolled up in it's packaging with a SteelSeries sticker, which has found it's way only my laptop. When unrolled, the left side of the mouse pad does not sit flush on the desk, but flattens out in a matter of hours. The packaging works as a travel aid if you are planning on taking it around with you.Pro'sTHE PRICE!Large, smooth, very comfortable to useConsDust can get gather on the surface.

The benchmark against all other cloth pads are measured. This size of this pad is perfect for low sensitivity gamers. I use 60cm/360 ( in all FPS games from CSGO to Quake) and this pad is the minimum size I require. There's loads of other great reviews pn here so I'll just add a few things that haven't been touched on.This pad is uncoated cloth so it has quite a lot of control in the glide. this translates to a bit of static friction and if you're a high sensitivity gamer (lower then 25cm/360) you may want to try out a treated cloth pad like the QCK team editions or Puretrak Talent. My only work of caution against coated cloth pads is they are effected by humidity and moisture far more then pads like the Heavy,so if you tend to get a sweaty wrist then uncoated is far better. The QCK Heavy can be washed just fine in the washing machine on its lowest temperature setting. The rubber base absorbs water and will take quite a few days to fully dry though. So hang it up in an airing cupboard after you've washed it.Having used +30 different mouse mats over the years the QCK Heavy is my favourite. The fact that most pro CS players use it OUTSIDE of sponsorship says a lot.Just ordered another one to replace an old one which had a great run.Highly recommended

A mousepad has one simple task: to provide an even surface on which a mouse can smoothly and accurately move. Yet there are infinite combinations of materials, surface material, size and even weight and looks. For me what really matters is that it provides the perfect friction and size for a sensitive gaming mouse to avoid situations when the mouse does not react at all or moves in unexpected ways.In all of the above the SteelSeries Surface QcK Heavy is ideal: first of all and most noticeable this mousepad is really huge and massive, so say goodbye to half of your desk. The never-ending cloth surface is great, I previously owned the 4HD mousepad with a hard surface and I don't ever want to go back. It's a personal preference, but if you anyway prefer a cloth covered mousepad then this is definitely the one for you.Don't let the word cloth deceive you into thinking this will wear through after a few months' heavy use, like everything else about this product the cloth surface is very durable. One drawback is cleaning it, the hard surface of the 4HD can be easily wiped down/disinfected with some cleaning alcohol whereas the cloth... you can shake it down and bat it like a carpet.Overall this is a great product at an affordable price.
