I purchased this mouse pad about 6 months ago now as a part my setup and I can honestly say it has been one of the best value for money items I purchased. The mat is large, leaving room for a large keyboard/laptop, as well as plenty of room for mouse movement! The mat has a good thickness to it that makes it feel like a quality item, however no so thick that it becomes weak. The surface is strong providing a very small bounce meaning keyboards wont be bouncing about on it.The coating of the surface is very good and perfect for gaming or casual use! I have tested it with a multitude of mice and they all preform great! You can also easily write on this surface on one sheet of paper or multiple piled up and the pen docent go shooting through, meaning if you have some paperwork to do you don't have to worry about moving the mat.The logo on the mat is not invasive and sits nicely in the corner, it looks professional and keeps the mat simplistic. As to cleaning, the mat does attract a fair amount of dust and general stuff however I have found its super easy to clean with a lint roller, vacuum or a simple wet cloth. When compared to higher priced mats this one really holds its own. Of course with brands such as Razor, you pay for the brand name, similar to clothing etc. However I was not fussed with this and the quality is just as good when to compared to higher priced items from more recognized brands. As to storage, you can extremely easily roll the mat up and tuck it away and when un-rolled it lays as flat as before, not curling back up!At such a low price you cant go wrong and it is a great size for a mat that covers a large portion of the desk! The product comes packed well with very simplistic packaging that keeps the item nice and safe, it is a fairly large package and when sent via Amazon Prime the amazon box will be rather large however that's not much of an issue as it can go straight to the recycling|!Overall I am extremely happy with the product and would recommend to anybody looking for an all purpose mat, to cover a majority of the desk that looks good and can easily be cleaned and stored!

So you're used to premium brands and your old pads on it's way out.. You're used to paying through the nose for that 'Quality' insurance and that's okay. Coming from a Steel Series Qck XXL I was extremely skeptical about purchasing a budget mat especially one a third of the price but I'd been reading and comparing different candidates for hours, YouTube reviews, Amazon reviews, Ebay... Eventually I bit the bullet and ended up going for this one.Yes there's a smell when you take it out of the box, it'll subside. Think of that new car smell. It was packed nicely and upon placing on the desk lays out perfectly flat.Sharp Edges? I can understand this is going to be subjective but from my opinion it's not baby smooth but it's not razor wire you know? It's just what I'd expect from a mouse mat without stitched edges and depending on what kind of person you are and skin you have you're going to either not care or find it irritating.Responsiveness? Smoother than my QCK but still a good amount of friction, if anything I prefer this surface and It's much nicer to flick across and I was so surprised. I play quite low DPI so utilize a lot of the space and within my first day of playing I've witnessed no issues tracking just a hell of a good time. Once again subjective but I wouldn't call myself a casual gamer, I've got the seat dent believe me.Thickness is nice too It doesn't feel too raised or too spongy, It's firm with a slight spring.I can't speak on the longevity of this product just yet as I've only been using it for a day, but I'm hoping it doesn't disappoint like some people have reported with fraying and splitting on the edges. I would say if you're using long sleeves regardless of the mat, you're adding extra frictional stress to the weaker(weakest?) part of your mat and could more than likely be hindering your in-game tracking/performance too! I will amend rating and review based on how it does with time and more use.Good luck and happy gaming :)

This may well sound silly, but I'm not really into "gaming" so why on Earth would I buy this mouse mat?However... My Son is into gaming, and my Grandson is too, so I guess there is "some" sense in my having it. Normally I wouldn't dream of adding a review within just a few hours of receiving a product of any kind. So often opinions change radically when it's been in use for a few weeks! But having had the Perixx DX-2000 XXL (90 cm x 30 cm) for quite some time previously and having just ordered one of those as a present for my Grandson today I think it's quite reasonable that I can comment on the differences. The mat itself is superb, I love the fact that it doesn't have the braiding around the edge but that it's just a straight flat cut.It just sits on the desk better and there's nothing to fray at all (the smaller one was prone to that). The packaging was ridiculous... a massive box, lots of screwed up paper inside that, and then a smaller box with the mouse mat rolled up inside that. It would have been nice to have had this delivered to a pick-up location such as the post office delivery office but evidently it was too big for them to do this... It wouldn't have been if they'd only sent the smaller box with the mat rolled up inside it! I suppose there is some logic in this somewhere but I fail to see it. I would imagine that that is Amazon's fault rather than Perixx's.The price of both the large and smaller versions of the mat are excellent compared to when I first bought one, it must be close to half the price from memory. So to summarise ... highly recommended for quality and price, fairly confident in the longevity of either size, stupid packaging. If / when I manage to wear this one out I'll certainly buy another!

I`ve only dipped into the gaming peripherals pot once before, with a bottom of the range SteelSeries mouse mat. I decided I`d like to have a better mat for work and found good reviews of this Perixx DX-1000L. First impressions are very good. It`s the same thickness and dimensions (13" x 10.5") as the SteelSeries but the Perixx corners are squarer than than the SteelSeries so there`s slightly more coverage.I think the rubber backing grips my desk surface better on the Perixx, the SteelSeries moved around but I don`t think the Perixx is going anywhere.A key difference is the top surface. The SteelSeries is low friction but is definitely more 'fabric'-like to the touch. The mouse moves smoothly but there is some friction under your wrist which gets irritating or uncomfortable over time. It also seems to trap dust and bits. The Perixx feels more silky to touch and under the wrist. It`s early days so I may come back and edit this review in time. For now, I`m keeping the Perixx for home use (a bit illogical as I spend all my working time at the computer compared with a grabbed hour in front of Battlefield 3 at home). Maybe I`ll need to buy another Perixx for work after all.At £8.00 this is an ideal budget gaming mat. If you think all mouse mats are the same this will show you why this isn`t true and won`t break the bank. Even if you`re not a gamer having a good sized smooth mat can improve your time at the keyboard.

I have to say that I was worried when I first ordered this product. I know it is 'just' a mouse mat but I am extremely particular when buying anything related to my PC and with good reason! I should never have worried though as from the moment I opened this mouse mats packaging, which I must add was top notch, I was sure I had made a good decision! The mouse mat itself is of VERY high quality and has a gorgeous finish to it which makes it feel extremely soft and luxurious to the touch, no chafing of the wrists here!I am currently using it with my recently purchased R.A.T 7 Gaming Mouse and I use them both on my sofa which has a habit, as it's old, of sagging or sloping to the left.On my old mouse mat with a Logitech G500 (not the newest model) it would slope and the mouse would slide into my right leg, not so any more! No matter how much I move the mouse and mouse mat stays put! The underside of the mat is perfectly sticky for lack of a better word and prevents me having to stick it to the board I have it on top of. The top surface of the mat holds the mouse with perfect amounts of resistance to the point where it will hold the mouse but allows it to move smoothly when the right amount of force is used.Overall, this mouse mat is of EXCELLENT quality and I will definitely be purchasing more from Perixx in the future. Perfect!

Nice, large mats are perfect for gaming, video editing or even casual use. I've gone from a tiny mat, needing to use all 12,000 DPI of my mouse to this colossal mat, spreading out and using just 1,000 DPI and less! It's materials are so damn smooth, your mouse will glide perfectly, but it's not so slippy that your mouse will go flying off the desk if you leave it. The underside has way more grip than it needs, especially for its size. The only downside to this mat is that the ends are quite sharp, the cord of my mouse is fabric, so it gets caught on the mat. A tiny bit of hot glue running along the edge will be fine though and smooths it out.UPDATE!!-------------So, in 3 days (as of writing this update),will mark 4 years of using this mouse mat. I must say, it held up really well until about the last year or so. The fabric edges are peeling up much more often, it's prone to holes if you somehow drop a sharp object on it, the bottom portion of the grip material has compressed and worn away over many, many long gaming sessions... And worst of all, the fabric is starting to get rough and porous, allowing dirt ingress and buildup to happen much faster.Still though, I can't complain. Such a cheap mat has gone an incredibly long way, I'm impressed. I will be getting a hard mat this time though; they're easier to clean.

If you want a huge mouse mat this is the only way to go, my key board and mouse fits on top of this and it pretty much covers my whole desk, I noticed other people complaining about the way its packaged (rolled up) effecting the natural way the mat is meant to lie but it didn't effect mine at all so take that into consideration if you think you will be effected by it, but to get into the review. The top surface of the mouse mat is a smooth cloth-like surface which is brilliant feeling, and comfortable for an extended period of use, the mouse mat is also plain black with no stupid company 'graphics' sprawled all over it and instead just has a nice SMALL logo in the left corner which is actually a nice touch to a plain product, one of the best things I can say about this mouse mat is the material is a cut above those cheap long desk mats because they feel like cotton and the border of the mouse mat feels like it is giving you burns on your wrist. The bottom of the mouse mat is made from a thin rubber like material which is extremely grippy and has not moved once since use, it also doesn't leave marks on my wooden desk and thats all I can really say about the bottom of the mouse matAll in all this is extremely good for the money and it will last a long time with a lot of use so highly recommended!

There is not much to say about mouse mat but never underestimate the size in mm as I did, I thought when I get the mouse mat it would be the size of a 23 inch monitor but it’s almost double 900*400 to be exact. The mat has a lovely smooth finish and works well for most mice.I have tested this using the dragon gaming mouse, original optical mouse and an older optical mouse as the more older optical mice never usually worked that well but they all worked perfect. I used to play on a hard wood surface and the response of the mouse was not good and was always making horrible noises but now it glides like a dream with and excellent response times for gaming as this is highly important as you all might know for all the heavy games out there. And it’s not like you will run out of the room! The only negative with the mat is that of the sheer size you will need the room for it on your desk! But if you can make the room it is worth it!Within the world of mouse mats this mat sits in the gold zone and I would give it 5 out of 5 for the price size and lovely finish. And would recommend this to any gamer and you will not be disappointed! If you are a gamer that does a lot of LAN parties and takes equipment out with you I’d recommend not getting this XXL settle for the X-large.

This is a lovely mouse mat, that has a premium feel, for a fraction of the price. When I first got this mouse mat, I was astounded at the feel of it, compared to the price. It was very well packaged and if you had shown it to me, I would have said it it cost twice as much as it does. Now I have used it for a quite a while (close to 2 years), I have noticed that the edges are a little frayed. While this is not a major concern and does not affect the mats function in any way, it can rub against your skin if you are wearing short sleeves, and eventually becomes uncomfortable. Despite the 2 years of use, I cannot see myself replacing this anytime soon, it still feels nice to the touch. This mat is perfect for just about anything really,I use mine for some light gaming, but I also bought one for the family PC, which is used mainly for browsing the internet. So, in conclusion, if you are looking for a budget mouse mat that will last you years, and is perfect for anything you can throw at it, this is the perfect choice. If however you are looking for heavy gaming use, and you are likely to wear short sleeves a lot, then you may want to consider paying a bit for for a mat which has cotton around the edges.Highly Recommend.

This is one big-ass mouse mat, but I'm instantly in love with it - the extra space means I never have to re-position my mouse, and I can actually fit two mice on it at the same time if I need to.The rubber base keeps it firmly planted on your desk but means it can easily be moved if you want - I've previously tried sticky-back mats to remove slippage but they're a pain to quickly shift about, so this is perfect. It's also very thin, so you don't notice it under your wrist, yet still noticeably comfortable under your hand. The fabric surface gives a nice glide to every mouse I've tried on it thus far, and responsiveness seems great. It will undoubtedly wear over time, and the fabric will start to peel away from the edges I'm sure (although there's no early indications of that - it's just an assumption), but for the price, and the quality you get, it's practica having a couple of spares for when the time comes - it's worth it.If you're just looking for a mat to make your mouse work on an otherwise tricky surface, you might want to look for something a little more hardwearing...but if you're even remotely serious about why you might need a mouse mat, you could do a lot worse than buy this one.

Having owned (and practically worn out..!) a superb (similar) mouse pad manufactured by "Razer" for many years, I was a little sceptical about this seemingly similar (yet cheaper) product from "Perixx" (a brand which I must concede was previously unknown to me until I happened across this range of pads here on Amazon..).The main difference here is that this particular pad (the next to largest size, I think) is a good bit thinner (I'd estimate 33% thinner) than the corresponding "Razer" one I was previously so happy with.Again, I had my doubts about that when I ordered (fearing I might be able to "feel the desk" (underneath) when applying pressure to this lighter, thinner product. However...I'm pleased to report that such concerns were not necessary - as this is also a superb product. It has virtually the same "feel" to the Razer range - and comes highly recommended.(I use mine almost entirely for day-to-day graphic design and Web Browsing - despite the pad being branded as a "Gaming Mouse Pad. I'm sure that it is also a great piece of kit for any hard-core PC gamers out there too).Great quality, great price - snap one up!

My old mouse mat wore out, it was one that had a solid, plasticky surface and I much preferred it to the cheap 'fabric' ones that tend to prevent the mouse from gliding. Looking for a new one it seemed ridiculous that I was stuck with very little choice: get a fabric surface or pay stupidly high prices for a 'gaming surface' that I don't need. This fits the bill perfectly and I've been completely converted to what a proper fabric mat can be like. My mouse glides over this with never a hitch, and it stays in place on the desk thanks to its rubbery backing. I'm not a gamer so all I need is the most basic of functions from a mouse mat: nice movement and desk protection, and this offers both. For a regular PC user who needs a 'normal' sized mouse mat, the Medium is the best choice. Gamers will no doubt benefit from the blanket sized ones available. One thing I've noticed is that the corner can start to curl a touch, from constantly being clipped by the sleeve of whatever I'm wearing, but I just rotate the mat on the desktop so that corner is opposite and it soon flattens out.

Love this. Just what I wanted! I wanted a mat that didn't sit high on the table like those cheapy foam jobs. This is just like a piece of heavy cloth with a rubber backing. Once placed on the table, that where it stays! No movement, no catching the corners with your wrists!Precision with the mouse is spot on! I've no idea if you can clean it, since over time the Black is bound to pick up marks and the odd coffee spill. The price is amazing for the quality of the item. You even get a nice box and integral plastic sleeve to keep it rolled up and safe when transporting, if you do that kind of thing. (LAN party?)I love that these are also available in several different sizes too. What more do you want!Update: I ordered another one in 2019 and sadly this one has arrived with damage, a slight indentation on the mat. Of course the mouse does not like this when it moves over that dent. So, sadly, a drop in the star for me and I am thinking of returning this one for a refund.Disappointing after the first one being flawless.

The Perixx DX-1000XXL Mouse Pad is a fantastic addition to my computer arsenal. It's large enough to cover the majority of my desk allowing me to place my keyboard and mouse on it. The advantage of this is that cheaper keyboards that wobble a bit won't produce any noise due to the soft surface. It also allows for nearly "friction-free" gliding of the mouse. Another advantage is that whilst playing games such as CS:GO which require low DPI, you never run out of area to move your mouse on. Due to the fabric design it easily rolls up allowing for transportation, in fact, I'm planning on bringing it to the i58 gaming event. The non-slip base is perfect to prevent the mouse pad moving. It is also hand-washable, at least, I've done it without any issues. The only problem I have with it is the lack of stitched edges. The sides of this mouse mat are a little sharp and dig into my forearms a bit, it does get better with time or by using a lightly abrasive cloth or fabric to smooth the sides down a bit. Definitely NOT sandpaper.

One of the things with normal sized mouse mats that would frustrate me, especially when playing games is the mat sliding about all the time. So I thought I would invest in one of these gigantic mats. What a great piece of kit it is, no more chasing the mat around, or sticking my keyboard onto the edge of the mouse mat so it stops moving this is large and rubber backed so has no chance of moving with normal or gaming mouse movements. There is a flaw with them however, the edge of the mat that goes under your wrist begins to curl and fray slightly, enough to cause irritation against your skin, enough for it to be uncomfortable, what i do is overhang the edge of my desk with it,that way my wrist is resting on the smooth part of the mat as it's plenty large enough to allow this to happen. I guess what it might need is some kind of 'edging' strip on the edges to combat this issue. Nonetheless I wouldn't go back to a normal mouse mat after using one of these, I would highly recommend them especially if you are a gamer.
