I purchased this wrist rest mouse pad as it showed up when I went to buy my new keyboard (Microsoft CSD-OOOO6 Wireless Comfort Desktop 5000) As I was on the look out for a mouse pad with a decent support built in I checked out the product reviews first. There was mostly good reviews so I decided to purchase this and the long wrist rest to accompany my new key board. Both this item and my new long rest are very good. I have left a separate product review for the other so check it out.I suffer from carpel tunnel syndrome and pressure pain due to long hours on my computer so good support was a feature I looked for when buying a replacement mouse pad. This is my breakdown on this item:The flat areaof the mouse pad is sufficient in size for me to easily move around the full screen of my 22" monitor without lifting the mouseThe wrist support is slightly indented and my wrist sits ever so comfortably on the supportThe support is firm yet soft and of perfect height for meThe fabric is slightly coarse but not at all rough on the skinMy mouse with the above mentioned key board set does not skidded and works perfect. The thickness of the flat area is not too thin nor too thick, it does the job.I would personally say this is good value for the money compared to a lot of other similar products on the market. The only draw back I had was my previous old Microsoft mouse that I have had since 2005 did skid a little on it so maybe not quite suitable for some older wireless mouse.Hope I help your decision making. In my teens I used keyboard shortcuts because I could remember them.In my twenties I used a mouse, but on the boards of the desk, because only nerdy wimps and whiney-whingers need mouse pads and wrist rests, right? (Say that when you're a bit tipsy.....)However, having turned thirty (ok, and a bit), my wrists were beginning to ache like crazy and my frustration at the lack of mouse pointer accuracy was driving my hair to fall out and my belly to expand (alright, some of that might have been marriage, kids and chocolate cake, but you get my drift). So, I put this on my wishlist and got it for Christmas. I have to say I might be getting old, because I really love this mouse mat / wrist rest combo. It feels so very high quality, all gel, very flexible thick rubber, and a glossy textile finish. It is actually quite small, but the mouse glides nicely across the surface and the accuracy of the pointer (the tracking of the mouse, if we're to be technical here.....) is superb.Best of all? The gel wrist rest, complete with a little dip for your wrist, is just sooooo comfortable. A very useful, and very reasonable priced bit if kit.

I have had this Belkin mousepad for going on 4 years and it still looks great! I use this with my computer daily, sometimes hours on end. I could not tell you how many times it has been bent or had drinks spilt on it, but this thing just bounces back! Once it's been dried out from spillage (which it does so fairly quickly) its almost like nothing has happened, no warping or discolouration.Best of all- it's good for your wrist! I can't stand to use regular mouse pads anymore so sometimes I just roll this one up, pop it in my bag and take it with me! I'm not sure about the old ball-guided computer mice, but as far as the LED mice go, this pad makes them very responsive as it glides along it.Worth noting too, it has a rubberized tread underneath which makes sure that it doesn't move around your desk. All in all- fantastic mousepad, at an excellent price that will last you a long time. Look nowhere else for value like this!

Ok ive tried a few cheaper mouse mats but this is the champ! I know there are larger gaming mouse mats but i use a high end laser mouse on very sensitive and this mouse mat is perfect for that. The rest is now something i wouldnt do without , very comfy. I dunno if there are better mouse mats out there but i doubt i will find out as i love this one. The price is great to plus the seller sent it quickly and it was well packaged. Just ordered another for my dad who uses a cheaper optical mouse(works well for that to). The mats got a quality feel to it. It stays in place and doesnt slide due to a thick rubber underlay. Its plenty big enough to. Dont buy a cheaper mat they dont last and slide. One word of warning , do spill anything on it as the fabric coating can get messed up. I ordered this for myself when i spilt beer on my 1st one. Now im more careful. Highly recomended!!!

TOP QUALITY!!If you have heavy arms you cannot go far wrong with this! belkin as usual are top quality designs no doubt they probably paid someone to sit there for months on end to test every flaw! I have had a few mousemats the last one was a transparent one with a gell support it was excellent for its function but alas the plastic on the gell gave way and it did make my wrist sweat after a while of use!The belkin mat is far more superior in quality and it is excellent to rest your wrist on the mouse works very well on it and it doesnt come with that spurious sillicone smell which you tend to get with cheaper brands!I do not spend hrs at my pc and i dont sit at a desk like a lot of folk haveto do for work but i noticed my wrist hurt before buyin a support mousemat i have gone through a few of these and i would say this one is king of the hill!!I hope this helps

Kensington:+ looks cool(er)+ mouse moves easily on surface++ seems durable+ easy to clean-- wrist rest too hard-- wrist rest friction too high: encourages movement from wrist rather than using whole arm- does not roll up- mouse movements make annoying noise- more expensive than the Belkin oneBelkin:++ wrist rest the right firmness++ rest has low friction, enabling arm movement+ mouse moves easily and relatively quietly+ rolls up+ less expensive than the Kensington one- durability questionable-- cleaning is going to be difficultVerdict: If you really need this, I'd strongly recommend the Belkin.(NB: the wrist wrest should be a back-up option -- try to avoid bad positions in the first place...)(Edit: I'm still using the Belkin mouse pad after more than 3.5 years and it still does the job.)

Both the actual mouse-pad and wrist-rest are extremely comfortable. The mouse-pad is made of a spongy material that feels nice to touch and allows for excellent control of the mouse. This was a much better improvement on my previous mouse-pad which had a cheap plastic-y and rubbery coating which meant that the cursor would zoom everywhere. The wrist-rest that comes attached to the main mouse pad has a soft-gel like material inside and it moulds to your wrist quite nicely allowing for a pleasant experience. The best thing for me was that the bottom of the mouse-pad has a lot of friction meaning that it remains completely still whenever I use it.Overall a very good buy and I strongly recommendthis to anyone looking for a mouse-pad or looking for a comfortable computer experience.

simply the best mouse pad i ever used. I have the early signs of RSI and this mouse pad is great. If I need to change position I can even reverse it and use just the pad without the wrist-rest (rotate so wrist pad is nearest computer monitor).Light, portable, good mouse tracking for optical/laser mouse. I simply can't fault it.It is also light enough to roll up and carry in your computer-bag if you travel to different offices a lot.Now 4 years on, I am still using this wrist pad.Daily use in office and at home, it hasn't failed, worn-out, or stopped working!Incidentally - on mine at least, the wrist pad is definitely gel (not foam as another reviewer seems to think),and it has not sufferred any permanent deformation at all.

I have tendonitis in my right hand/arm, so have switched to using my left for my computer mouse. I wanted to prevent damage to my left hand, so bought a mouse mat and wrist rest. It's neat, comfortable, and puts my hand and wrist in a neutral position. The mat is a bit ragged around the edges, so it's not the smartest item, but I think it is good for the price. There is plenty of room on the mouse mat and the gel support is quite wide, enabling a lot of side to side movement of the hand and arm when using the mouse. The rest is quite deep, resulting in almost no resting of the hand on the mouse itself (for me at least, though I do have quite small wrists and hands).

I have been using this mouse pad for about 12 months and it has become more comfortable with use as the gel moulds itself to your wrist. In general this pad is far superior to any ordinary mouse mat and has subjectively reduced the effects of RSI. Highly recommended.ProsHard wearing with no signs of wear after a year of heavy useVery comfortable but give it time to mould a little to your wristLow slip and accurate tracking of mouse movementsWell madeGood priceConsI would like the mat area to be a bit larger but this is a minor issueLooks ok but a bit boring if looks are important to you

I bought a mouse that is havier and much bigger than the one that i was using. So basically my hand was bending all the time when the wrist was on the table because of the size of the mouse. I went through a lot of pain and was considering of changing the mouse but then i found this pad so i thought i can give it a go...That pad changed my life at the computer and believe me i spend a lot on it... It is so comfortable that when it wears out I'll get a new one :) Every penny is worth for that pad... If i had it earlier I could of spared the corn under my wrist from the hand rubbing on the table...

I have been using a gel wrist pad for a few years now after receiving one as a present, the one I had was getting a little run down however, so I got on here and had a look around, most people had given this pad very good reviews, and for good reason, it supports your wrist nicely and it feels nice and firm while retaining comfort in that area.I got mine in black and it looks great with my computer and desk, I believe it is also available in a light grey colour however. Overall I have nothing bad to say about this, if you want a good gel mouse pad at a fantastic price, get this one.

This is a good mousepad. I dare say there is very little I can add that others have not covered. The edges are sleek and well finished, the surface has very little friction and allows my logitech M705 'marathon mouse' to glide over it effortlessly and silently. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is that the wrist rest, whilst very comfortable does make a little crinkling, scrunching noise when pressure is applied, not unlike that made by a crumpled up carrier bag.Whilst this is moderately annoying, it is still a good mousepad. It is not wildly expensive either, which is nice.

I spend all my working day on the computer, copy-editing books on-screen. Over the years I've developed RSI in the wrist and hand I use to move the mouse, and have tried several products that promised to relieve the strain. None of them worked ... until I bought the Belkin WaveRest Gel Mouse Pad. I cannot imagine how I coped without it! The gel pad is at just the right height to support my wrist without interfering with my hand's ability to move freely, and the mouse pad in front of it is smooth and slick. At such a low price, I can't imagine finding a better product for the job.

10.12.2015

This is a good mouse rest, quite thick padding and very fine surface ( the other gel pad I have has a higher wrist rest ) but, I feel it would be more suited to a cordless mouse. I bought the Belkin as a backup, when I was washing the cheap gel pad I bought from Tesco. The cheap one which is shaped like half of a yin yang symbol, is actually great quality, and performs better with the wired rollerball mouse than the Belkin does. Still, I am happy with my purchase all the same. Now I have a back up gel pad that will do if I get a cordless or laser mouse.
