This is a really good product for a good price.My Logitech laser mouse glides over the surface nicely. This mat (it can't really be called a pad since that infers some padding) is very very flat, there is no foam or anything like that underneath the surface.What is under the surface is dozens of little air pockets in what looks like tin foil, which makes the mat stick to glass very well. I don't know how it would cope with other surfaces. It leaves no visible marks or sticky stuff, but takes a good strong fingernail to peel off.Overall, highly impressed.EDIT: As you do, when playing a rather tense PC game, or losing to a good chess player, your palms get a little... moist.

This mouse pad is very nicely designed, looks slick on the desk when paired with a fitting mouse. Clings to the surface and takes some scratching to fade hehe.Would recommend it to anyone looking for a standard but slick mouse pad.
