The menu system is a faff. Surround sound is not adjustable enough.The centre front is way to loud. The front and rear surround speakers cant be adjusted separately.The sub bass needs more power at low volumes. I have the sub base and the surrond turned to max and it's okish.Mid range is fine and more balanced. Hype is the 600w power it's 80w,enough to annoy the neighbor's. Sound is clear. Not enough connectors.No headphone Jack.bluetooth is meh, so use hdmi.a little buyers remorse for the price

I'm sure there are better systems out there, but for the price paid this is a decent system. It was really easy to set up - all the speakers have colour-coded plugs and sockets on them and connecting to the TV via HDMI was not a problem. There's a decent length of cable supplied for the rear speakers and I like that they are on built-in stands. It certainly does make a difference when listening to a movie! The sub-woofer could be a little louder for some family members, but it's fine for me :-)

Some say about the bass not being loud. Straight out of the box any system can be a bit meh but if you hook this up to a music source with a EQ.... wow ! It will punch out your desired sound with ease. Through my laptop with EQ the tones are as rich and crisp as the bass is full and pounding. Through my tv with clear voice setting and voice enhancement on 2 plus bass on 8, again, perfect sound all round.If you know how to manipulate systems to the sound your after. You wont be disappointed

It’s a great surround sound system, it is stylish and looks elegant. It is of high build quality as expected from Sony products. The sound is great too; the surround effect is brilliant although the front right and left channels are within the soundbar but it gives almost the full effect of two separate front stereo speakers. The only minor drawback is that the subwoofer doesn’t produce a massive bass but it was Ok for me as I wouldn’t be needing anymore bass it was just about right for me.

Had Samsung previously so was a bit uneasy on this purchase but bought a Sony 49 Bravia HDR4k tv. So got this to go with it. The sound is very good. However you do have to turn the volume up a fair bit to hear conversation. My tv was not Bluetooth so it's not wireless connected. The surround sound is bluetooth enabled though. Not used this function yet. Connecting it all up was a fiddle and clear instructions set help. Looks good sounds good. Recommend this product.... yes.

The sound quality is absolutely spot on, I am using it for TV, games, digital music and have Connected it to my record player via the aux 3.5mm jack.All sound brilliant.The app lets you customise the surround more and you can set each of the speakers independently to give a more even sound distribution.Was a bit annoyed about the rear speakers and subwoofer needing wires as it mean a bit of faff to hide them but once done I am really happy with it, highly recommend.

Easy to set up and to position in the room, cables are not that long if you have a big living room though. It was the cheapest 5.1 available and for the money you pay it is a good purchase. Woofer is not too loud unless you listen to a true DTS or Dolby digital content, where it improves a bit even if it is not as loud as other 2.1 channels. I guess it is because the sound was intended more for movie and real sound distribution for which it does an enough good job.

when I first listened to it I thought it sounds tinny so not good, the optical cable you get with it is very thin so I bought a better one and I can't believe the difference in the quality of sound,a lot of the reviews say it doesn't have a enough bass,buy a better optical cable because it does then,overall for the price it's a good system. Also the subwoofer is bluetooth so you can play music from your phone or ipod through it.

I don't know much about surround sound but this is a neat kit. The surround works great and there are many different 'settings' you can swap it to such as "Gaming, Film, Music, Sport" .etc which equalises the sound to the best mix.It is also very simple to plug in with all the cable colour coded and you get a huge 10m cabling from the speakers to the box so can move them far away.

The shop experience was easy and straight forward. The product arrived to the store in perfect condition. The set up was extremely simple. The sound is just like going to a proper cinema. I read lots of reviews e.g. the bass is not to strong, voice not too strong etc... I found that it is all down to adjustments. The sound is AMAZING.

The sound is amazing, it is very easy to instal and use, now movie nights, partys, or just relaxing at a tv show with a great sound is more fun than ever! Because of the remote control and the Bluetooth option i can control my sound sistem even from up stairs, from the bedroom or from the backyard! Very good quality! I love it!

Best price by far and exceptional service by Argos. I ordered on-line in Sunday at 11pm and it was ready for collection from my chosen store by 9am on Monday. Sony system is fab! Very powerful and fills the room. The tall speakers are not very loud and it may be a set up thing but look attractive on the sides.

Set up is easy, just follow the instructions. Wire is easy to hide under skirting board as it’s thin but sturdy.Once installed the connection is simple and different wired or Bluetooth.The sound is amazing with deep base from sub. The sound bar doesn’t vibrate and gives clear tones.

This surround sound is ok for the price. The only gripe is the "sub woofer" ( not much woof!) Bass is a bit pathetic.... But for the price it is much better than the sound coming from my tv. I have had better but cost me £599 20 years ago! So like I said good for the price!

Honestly so happy with this home cinema system. Easy to set up, can be connected with hdmi or an optical cable (only the OC is included), easy to use remote, sound is very clear, different surround options for movies, gaming, music etc. AND £60 cheaper than at CurrysPCW
