I had previously bought a cheaper orbital sander thinking it ‘would do’ but I was so wrong... it has no power and was basically useless, so it ended up in the bin..! The phrase “buy cheap... buy twice..” springs to mind.!I did some research and decided on this one... it was quite pricey but what a machine.!Quiet, smooth, powerful.. it just is excellent and with such good design, it will last for ever.It breezes through the jobs I bought it for..
