It's rather expensive to buy the press-on sheets in the grades needed (for any sander including my Bosch PSS 250AE sander), and they can be hard to find in a hurry. This gizmo allows the use of rolls of sanding paper and still have my vacuum cleaner suck up the dust. Simply tear off the length of paper and clip it to the sander, then press the punch onto it to get the holes in the correct places. It paid for itself with the first job!

This is good, however, it's still quite difficult to punch through stiffer and woven backed sanding pads. This is somewhat to be expected however and a stanley knife to start the holes works wonders.
