I use this with the GKS 18V circular saw, and it cuts good straight lines. There is plenty of confusion out there as to compatibility, but as a very brief owner of the FSN1600, can tell you that you need the FSN70 or FSN140 rails for the cordless 18V product. A square cut-out in the saw base slots on top of a raised rail in the guiderail, while a rubber splinterguard on the cutting edge helps keep a clean as well as a straight cut. You do have to trim the rubber/EPDM splinter guard before your first cut.The 70cm rail is easy enough to clamp down with low-profile clamps, but also sits pretty securely on its foam rubber seatings without moving, so far. Have only used a few times but if it was 900 mm long it would be better ,I'm a cabinet maker and floor gables and panels are usually 870 high so 700 mm is a little too short
