When I bought this the deciding factor was the dishwasher safe jug and lid. Too many blender jugs are difficult to clean properly if fixed or develop leaks if of the type that dismantle.I have used the Bistro blender every morning for the last 18 months to make my protein and supplement shake and occasionally to make soup - it still performs as good as new. I just switch it on and then go and do something else for a couple of minutes.I found the two pouring spouts in the lid to be a bit of a gimmick and care needs to be taken to avoid spillage and drips when opening after use. A one piece lid with no pouring spouts would be a useful option.

The picture does not do this justice! Absolutely love it and so impressed! Really compliments my other Bodum kitchen appliances in the same rubber red colour! Very good value for money too as I was tempted to get a kitchen aid or smeg which were both over £100 but so glad I decided on this one instead.

Really good blender. Can make anything into puree, very easy to use, quick and powerful. It is quite loud however.
