4 months in and I still have nothing but positive things to say about this monitor. I really don't know how its this cheap compared to other options and seems so much better.First of all the picture is amazing. IPS and 100%sRGB make this great. Colours are accurate and makes for a great viewing experience. Also, due to it being IPS, viewing angles are great. Can clearly see from pretty much any angle. 1440p is perfect for 24". Screen is much sharper than a 1080p one and you can generally fit a lot more on it whist still being perfectly readable with no scaling. I'd expect 4K at this size to need scaling which can be hit and miss, I've heard.I really like the sensors (front bottom centre)and how they adjust the display to its surrounding. Really nice to have it adjust to the brightness of the room rather than having to do it manually. I don't use the eco one (turns display off when it thinks your gone) as it wasn't very accurate and the monitor kept turning off while I was sat in front of it, using it.Design is great. One of the main reasons I got it over the rivals. This one takes a simple, clean, approach. All matte black with subtle branding. Screen its self is also matte so no glare. Build quality seems decent enough. Plastic does creak quite a bit when touching or moving it but that really doesn't matter as its a monitor, how often are you going to be grabbing it?OSD (on screen display), or menu if you like, is great. Very quick, responsive and easy to use. Good amount of options, but not too many to be confusing as some other monitors. Touch sensitive buttons are good. I usually hate them but BenQ have nailed these. Very easy to press the right one and very responsive. They aren't that visible usually however they have a handy back light when the OSD is present which makes them extremely easy to see rather than just guessing. The stand was also a huge selling point and is very good. Height adjustment is important to get the display to a comfortable height. All movements feel very smooth and is generally really flexible. Stand also looks very nice, is flat on the bottom which my centre speaker sits perfectly on, and the cable management hole in the back is handy. Did find the stand to be a bit deep though so if your short on desk space, depth wise, be wary.Connectivity is good. HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort and VGA so its pretty much compatible with the majority of things. I have my PC and Xbox One plugged in. There is also an audio input if you wish to use the built-in speakers however I'd recommend highly on using the audio-out port to some speakers or headphones as the built in speakers are pretty awful. Built in USB hub is a really nice feature however it would be nice to have more than 2 USB outs and maybe one on the side.Don't think there's anything else to cover. One thing to certainly note is to make sure you are actually able to output 1440p. I didn't do my research and found out the hard way that my laptop cannot output 1440p over HDMI. My PC via the included DVI cable worked perfectly.Really can't fault this monitor, great for everything, even gaming.

Now first of, this monitor isn't perfect, but it comes damn close for the price. I got this monitor for work (I often use PhotoShop, Illustrator, Premier, InDesign, 3DMax, Unity, and various text editors), and gaming (RPGs, RTS, TBS, AA, ect), so I was looking for a jack of all trades at a rather low price (my old monitor broke). Now be warned I've heard rumours that this model of monitor can come faulty, in this case please return the monitor and get a refund, I never had a lot of those issues so I presume my monitor is how it's supposed to be; also note that most monitors in this price range have a lot of the "reported" issues. Now here are some pros, and cons of around 2 months of daily use.Pros:+ Native QHD (2560x1440)+ Turns on/off quickly+ The stand has great build quality, everything seems secure+ Hight, angle, and rotation adjustabl+ The stand has a hole to help route, and organize wire+ My monitor has NO BANDING, and NO FLICKERING+ The monitor was very easy to put together, instructions was on offer, but weren't needed+ Everything in the box was packaged nicely, all in great condition+ The brightness/darkness ratio for an LCD display is easily a highlight for an IPS displayNeutral:+/- As far as I'm concerned sRGB (Standard Red, Green, Blue) should be standard on all monitors+/- The monitor can be overclocked to 73Hz but stuttering appears anything over 60Hz+/- The bezzles are not overly big, but aren't small either. I'd look for something else if you're looking for multi-monitor gaming, but should suffice for average use+/- The monitor pretty much comes with all the cables you could need, excluding one for Display Port+/- The viewing angles are good, fantastic if it was a TN panal, but just alright for a IPS panal+/- The monitor doesn't have a great "Low Blue Light" mode, but also lowering the brightness, AND using f.lux on Windows does offer great resultsCons:- Not Adobe RGB- My monitor had low brightness, and had low gamma out of the box- Out of the box the monitor was at a refresh rate of 50Hz- The software provided (found on disk, or online) seems to cause issues with programs and games in Windows 10- The buttons for monitor options are on front, BUT are touch based which for me is a huge minus- The bezzles often reflect what is on screen, not an issue for work, but this is very noticeable for gaming- The bezzles feel a little cheap, if pressed you can hear a click/cracking, and feel it flex- All the ports are located on the back of the monitor, mounted vertically which can cause issues connecting things upOVERALLI did my research, and I'm certain as of September 2016, you wont find a better designer monitor that can also game under the £250 price range.

review for the 1440p panel:if i can play quake on it, the colour response time is good enough. i tested this on the eizo response time test vs the benq gl2450 1ms panel and it was consistently neck-in-neck or one 5-pixel-step behind across all speeds. don't get me wrong, moving the mouse about seems to be snappier with a 1ms response time, but not *that* much snappier. after doing a comparison for a while now i've lost the ability to feel the difference. without a side-by-side i don't think you'd give it conscious attention. maybe some scenes can evoke the pixel streaking more?the colours are undoubtedly good though. the brightness, contrast, and the colour gamut work together very well.neon scenes come to life, and natural colours are very grounded. the eizo test shows 0 banding whilst the gl2450 shows banding across all gradients. surely there are monitors that do response time & colour accuracy better than this one, but not at the same time within this price range from what ive seen. i would recommend checking said accuracy yourself but not many people have access to hardware like that, including me. benq does include a report card that seems legit and passes the sniff test - high wavelength colours (closer to red) *are* very accurate both on the report card and on the screen itself.as some background info, i've been playing on the aforementioned 1920x1080 gl2450 overclocked to 75hz for a good 4-5 years now, and reverting to 60hz on that made me feel sick. now that i've seen what *this* monitor offers, i don't really care anymore. i fixed framepacing in games like counter strike (without vsync) using rivatuner and it greatly improves the experience. 60hz doesn't feel bad when it's delivered consistently, and once again the colour range makes up for it. just make sure to get an appropriate cable to run it at full res & refresh rate. i just opted for a bog standard displayport to be on the safe side.in conclusion: if you want to compete at a high level, choose a high refresh rate 1ms monitor. otherwise, this is a very decent price-to-performance 1440p panel that's good enough for gaming and has factory calibrated sRGB coverage. hope this helps someone

24 inch QHD, Very good monitor. Wanted a 4k but went with this instead because its cheaper. I'm a software developer and use it all day long, hobby photographer also. 24 inch i think is perfect, i think a 27 would have been nice for the photography but too big for every day use. Colours seem to be quite good. Compared with the macbook pro retina that i'm using this with id say colour wise they are about the same. The 1440 resolution is nice at this size, you can see the pixels if you look really close but at normal reading distance its great, not quite as good as the retina display here. If it were a 27 inch i think you would need the 4k. There are no banding, flicker or dead pixel issues with my monitor as reported in some other reviews (maybe they were for the 27/32 inch versions? its not clear). The stand is good and solid. it has all the adjustments you would want, swivel, tilt, rotate, and height adjustment. The tilt isn't all that great, i would say it goes about 15-20 degrees from upright, which is more than enough for sitting at a desk but it doesn't fold almost flat like some other monitors if you are using a standing desk for example. Comes with a standard uk plug and a variety of connecting (except the hdmi cable that i needed), audio in/out and usb in (there are 2 usb ports). Built in speakers are ok. not great but ok and plenty loud. Overall seems to be very well made, picture and colour is excellent, sound is ok, for the price (220) i'd say you wouldn't get better.

I give this 4 stars, loses one star as HDMI to DVI cable will not work with this as you have to select the cable been used with the monitor selection screen!!Set up, this monitor looks great, its 2k resolution displays pictures in great detail and colours and is a good size but maybe too big if you have a small desk! Its made for designers not gamers so remember that if you decide to buy it, its low refresh rate meant I had to send this monitor back as when gaming I got "motion sickness"I felt this soon after using, I know many people are different but be careful if you experience this kind of thing!!All in all for a designer this monitor is great, been able to swivel screen as well as alternative picture (landscape, portrait) it has speakers, DVI, VGA, Display Port and HDMI connectors as sell as USBThe manual says it comes with all cables, mine only came with audio, USB (Printer connector), DVI, Power and VGA cable, says HDMI is included but mine didn't!!Its boxed well to minimise damage and the stand is sturdy and has a lock at the bottom to keep it coming loose!

Beautiful monitor but annoying connection sockets!! Plus, all the money I spent and BenQ couldn't get a decent spell-checker. Very awkward to get cables in. Headphone socket very awkward and fiddly. It isn't even in the side, it's stuck close to the middle so wire drapes across my keyboard. Do BenQ designers actually use these monitors. I need to change from speaker to headphones regularly. Still an extention might be better.CD didn't work properly either. I can forgive a stupid spelling mistake. However, if one can put up with external design flaws, the monitor is amazing. So bright I had to turn it down. Controls take some getting use to and I want to kill that weird window app.No dead pixels.Cables came with it. Lovely matte screen with many adjustment presets.Sound I'd good using headphones, speakers are ok.Nice stand and height adjustment. Monitor swivels so someone else can peak at your screen.User detection working best on medium setting. Can't wait until I build a bigger pc to see what this screen can show.

While this monitor doesn't look particularly modern with those thick bezels and plain black exterior, it more than makes up for it in performance and quality. It's built like a tank, with a heavy and highly manoeuvrable stand, so easy to get the perfect viewing position. I was going to buy a monitor arm, but won't bother now the supplied stand is so good. For me, QHD (2560 x 1440) is the perfect resolution for a 24" monitor. You get lots of application space without things being tiny.Upscaled 1080p content from an older laptop looks surprisingly crisp, if not quite as razor-sharp as native 1440p output from my Macbook Pro.Colours are super-vibrant and rich in sRGB mode, without looking over-saturated or fake. The screen is very relaxing to look at and I see no backlight bleed or anything 'cheap' looking on the display front. As a daily workhorse monitor for software developers or anyone involved in computer graphics work who wants a step up from basic monitors, this is a bargain.

Great monitor. Bought it mainly for the low blue light modes which are fantastic. I had eye pain after using low quality monitors at work. This BenQ one is ideal for long sessions even in other modes than the low blue light ones. sRGB and photo modes are very useful for photographers and as an enthusiast photographer i switch to those modes while editing. The software lets you have custom presets so easier to switch between modes than fiddling through monitors touchscreen buttons. Sturdy and stable base and beautiful 2k screen.the builtin speakers are not very great as expected since its primarily work based monitor. Some background sound distortion when played at max volume.I have it hooked up through hdmi cable.

Pin sharp. Every photo feels like you can reach in and touch things. Amazing detail and colours. As a web designer and photographer, I regularly sit in front of a monitor for hours at a time. Like a lot of people, I end up with headaches and drowsiness. Not with this monitor. Easy to set up and works out of the box with Apple and Windows (I use both). Currently using with a Macbook pro 2017 and Surface pro 4. Awesome for the price point and quality of what you get. I would prefer controls that were actual buttons instead of a touch-sensitive panel but that's just my choice. The variety of connection options make it easy to connect to anything.

I bought a BL2420PT 24 inch, almost exactly 2 years ago, and it's been used for 8 or more hours a day, pretty much every day. It's very pleasant to use, but now it's beginning to lose rows of pixels across the bottom right of the screen - right where the Windows Notification icons and Taskbar usually sits. That's disappointing, I'd have hoped for at least 3, and preferably 5 years use from it, which would have earned it 5 stars. I'll probably replace it soon, and keep this as an emergency spare, if I can find room to squirrel it away in a dry place.

I bought this to replace an LG 27in 4K monitor and I’m amazed! The colour accuracy is amazing! sRGB using the Mac OS colour profile makes your photos look so beautiful. They look like a national geographic book. I preferred it to the 4K monitor as that was always set at 1440p anyway since the text was too small. So basically this monitor is more useful, half the price and so accurate. We’ve got an LG 4K oled tv and the colours are as vibrant, accurate and natural. Buying another one! It’s the best monitor for day to day work I’ve ever seen...

Bought this as a second monitoring for work-from-home activities after my old Ilyama gave up the ghost.A large selection of connectors from hdmi(1), DVI, D-sub and Display port.I was also after a monitoring that would rotate 90 degrees which is great for document reviews/reading.Colour quality looked great without any modifications out of the box, but still need to investigate / play around. Not used heavily for gaming yet as been a bit too busy, but from a quick outlook is more than capable for my gaming needs (single player non-mmorpg).

I'm a photographer and bought this display to edit my pictures on as I need a colour accurate display that can display 100% of the sRGB colour space. What a monitor this is. The colours are incredible and the resolution is fab, resulting in a sharp, accurate image, which is exactly what I wanted. It even came with a calibration report from Benq, showing how close the display is to being fully accurate, which I was very impressed with. I would recommend this to all photographers out there!

I've been using this monitor for over seven months now. Often overlooked - this a brilliant, affordable 1440p monitor.* Not a dead or stuck pixel in sight.* Colours are gorgeous.* Text is crisp.* No noticeable input lag (or ghosting) when gaming. If you are coming from a 1080p (likely TN) panel, you will be amazed by the quality of this unit. The ergonomics afforded by BenQ are second to none.Stop thinking about it, buy it.

I was needing a new monitor and came across this during some research. I decided to take the dive and buy it, I'm so glad I did. The picture is so clear and sharp, the colours are like nothing I've seen in my other monitors, I'm a graphic designer and this makes my work much easier due to being able to get accurate colours. Can't imagine dusing any other monitor now.
