For the price this product does the job. I bought it for a second computer that is not frequently used so was prepared to accept some minor niggles.A bit of putting together was required but not too onerous.Would be better with a tilt/turn option but for the price would accept without this.Whilst box contained several useless cables (foreign plug etc) it did not contain an HDMI lead required to use it.Even though my computer is only a year or so old the lead supplied to connect to the computer was the wrong sort.

It's hard to compare this with my old screen as my previous screen was a 17inch Dell monitor. Heavy, clunky, not quite the old box style but still in comparison this screen is amazing. We ordered from Argos to replace the old one as with the lock down at the moment means more screen time. It arrived exactly on time. Took it out of the box and had it connected within the hour. Screen is bright and clear, very easy to see, big enough for our requirements and a reasonable price. Thank you Argos!!

I was looking for a basic computer monitor to hook up to a project I was doing invloving a Raspberry Pi. I thought this would do as it's cheap, so when I got it home I wasn't really expecting much compared to the monitors I have hooked up to my computer. However, the screen is sharp and looks fantastic, it's an amazing and would expect it to be in a much higher price bracket. I would certainly recommend to anyone looking to get a HD monitor for their gaming console, laptop or desktop computer.

The Acer monitor is uncomplicated and worked straight out of the box. Its VGA interface was a key factor as it allowed me to share the monitor with more than one computer through a KVM unit. Setting up the display to best suit Win 10 and Win XP was easily accomplished through the system control panels. I am tall and the Acer monitor stand was too short, despite the useful tilt feature, for me to best position the monitor without raising the base. This was the only drawback so far experienced.

How times have changed. Monitors were always 4:3 aspect ratio. If you wanted a 16:9 ratio, there was a big premium to pay. Widescreen was the future. Now, all monitors are 16:9, you cannot get a 4:3 anywhere, but also prices have tumbled. I needed a no frills basic monitor for my work. What I have is a more than decent monitor with a detachable stand for good measure for under £70. Colours are bright, no flicker and quite a decent sized screen too. How it would fair with a gaming console?

I temporarily used this monitor while visiting family over the holidays to play games and watch TV. The monitor done its job perfectly. The response time was of good and I didn't notice any lag. It is limited to 60hz so for console gaming it is ideal, for PC gaming don't expect anything higher however. It comes with an HDMI port for east connectivity. The only problem is the monitor isn't height adjustable and has no tilt. A few books to put it on can solve this problem however.

This monitor is capable of 75hz 5ms the colours of my monitor were not calibrated but that's easy to calibrate this monitor has lcd display which explains the pricing it cost less money than 60hz led monitors which makes this a good option for something cheaper my pc didn't display 75hz so I had to tweak it up which is also pretty simple its 1080p which is the best quality of image you could currently have I recommend this monitor for people trying to have a better monitor than usual

This is a fine monitor for the money. Be warned it does not have speakers. A little strange when it has all three HDMI DVI and VGA sockets. The monitor and stand clip together with no use of screwdriver or hex keys. In the box you will find a UK power plug and only a VGA cable, if this monitor is for a new PC I would check. The colours are nice and bright with no bleeding. The monitor is 20" long, 16" high with a round disk for a base. No height adjustment and just a bit of tilt.

I recently built a new computer and wanted to replace my old VGA-only monitor. I had already stretched my budget building the PC so I wanted a budget 1080p monitor. Overall I'm happy with it, the image is clear, refresh rate copes with my GPU, I like the anti-reflection screen.A few issues however- the stand feels pretty cheap and flimsy- No DVI cable in the box (VGA only) so be sure to buy one- colours can be a bit washed out / white too bright, contrast settings do little.

Got this as part of the move to working from home. Super quick and easy to set up, connected no issues. For some reason they only provide the big chunky monitor cable to connect to your laptop which lots of slimline laptops don't support so I had to repurpose an existing HDMI lead to use instead. Other than that the colours seem slightly weirdly faded on the screen, I played around with resolutions etc but couldn't seem to get it fixed. Does fine for the purpose I got it for

This monitor produces good clear pictures, but the depth of contrast and colour do vary depending on the height at which you look at the screen. If you are square on the picture is excellent, but if you are looking down from above the pictures becomes greyer. Conversely if you are looking up the colours are too dark. Best to view from a metre or more from the screenMost monitors have this problem to some extent, but it is more noticeable on this model than my previous ones.

We bought this as our son wanted to play his PS4 in the lounge rather than go upstairs to his bedroom. Fits well onto a computer desk and he is happy with it. Bought because it has inbuilt speakers although he always uses his headphones & mic. Would certainly recommend this monitor for use with a PS4 as it was easily set up, almost a plug and play with the exception of going into the menu to allow speakers. Delivered nice an early the very next day so we were all very happy.

I have two of these, one on a large and very solid desk, the other on a smaller less sturdy desk. On the less sturdy desk, I needed to put a carefully adjusted stack of Lego under each end of the monitor screen to stop a slight screen wobble when typing. Very happy though. The move from 1024 x 768 to this monitor is huge in terms of definition. Also, I was surprised to see that connection via a standard VGA cable was very close in definition terms to that of DVI and HDMI.

During the whole lockedown and the full time working from home, I needed a second screen like I have in the office - so I found this and it's an excellent all round package. It has VGA and HDMI connection (as well as DVI-D) to accommodate for old and new laptops which is great. It also has a 75Hz refresh rather than the 60Hz that most screen at this range offer, just another feature of this great monitor.Brilliant screen for working, wouldn't recommend for gaming.

I'm a techy that needed a quick monitor.Clarity/Quality - The clarity that I needed for reading charts and working on Visio/Word/Excel documents was perfect.Design - Very basic. Mini power light shows power, standby or on.Features - It has an on button!Connectivity - Standard D type, HDMI and DVD something or other. I'm using the D type (1.5M#. The monitor came with a UK #1.5M) and Euro power lead. It's a plug-in kettle lead, so you can buy a longer one if necessary.
