A pleasant, mellow dram, typical of the Auchentoshan distillery, this whisky carries a lot to recommend it. The initial taste is wonderfully sherried; rich, dark and warming, with hints of the oak itself coming through. The bourbon-cask element of the maturing is pleasantly subtle, compared to typical offerings, serving to add in elements of citrus and vanilla to the palate. A pleasant, heady nose, and excellent price point all round out to recommend this scotch wholeheartedly.

An interesting lowland malt malt: matures in sherry and bourbon casks.It has orange peel and honey with hints of coffee on the nose.It is strong nutty and chocolate on the palate with hints of ground coffee and citrus. The citrus and fruit lingers in the aftertaste.It stands out as great value for a daily tot or two.
