+ The sole is quite rigid and I am doing well, because I want them to run also on the mountain. + I think it's quite stable and I really like the strong laces that go far down on the sides that give me a plus of stability + since I also go on pieces on asphalt I like that it has the gel part and it seems to cushion quite well (my knees and meniscus thank you), I think even for heavy people, I weigh 80kg and up to 90 / 95kg I do not see any problem. - It weighs in my size 47 without interior template - 420gr !!! - It is very closed, which is good, because of dust and in case it rains one day, but at the same time it is very hot (these days it was 10 degrees) that could bother in summer.- the sides in some descent with inclination to the left bothered me in the ankle bothered and I wear orthopedic insoles, that is if you do not wear them, it may bother you more. - there are no signs of reflection SUMMARY: for what I was looking for, they seem very good, not only asphalt or just mountain roads. The same weight could be something smaller but the worst is the ventilation and lack of reflection signals.

My feet naturally tend to turn inwards when I'm running but these shoes correct this and keep them straight. So that's good.I was disappointed with the fit and found these shoes to be fairly uncomfortable. The internal seams in the toe area are rough and rub against my feet. The laces at the very top hole also rub off my feet, not enough to cause pain but leaves visible marks. The outer layer is hard yet flexible but this digs into my feet when it flexes while walking. Fortunately it doesn't cause issues when running. Also, this is minor but still annoying. When walking, the outer material flexes and snaps back to its original state making a flop sound each time. They really didn't think this outer material through.I've started wearing two pairs of socks and this has sorted the comfort issues. But shouldn't have to.Overall for the price and the brand I expected more. I wouldn't buy this type again. Disappointing.

I have been running in Asics Gel Kayano shoes now for many years. I don't remember what number the first number model was that I bought but I have been very happy with them. Typically I buy the previous year models because running shoe are so expensive when you buy the latest model. What brand of shoe you wear is very much a personal decision so I never knock any of the many other brands available. I run 35 miles a week year round and have been doings so for years. I not much on explaining the technical aspects of a shoe. I just wear what works for me. After my old brand of shoe discontinued the model I was wearing I went to a running store for advice and ended up in Asics. One thing I do though is as soon as I get the shoes out of the box I remove the factory insoles and install a run comfort insole from Super Feet. One additional comment is that I REALLY wish Asics made a winter running version of this shoe.

Best shoes (Keyano 25) this is my 5th pair of Keyano's since they change every year. Started out with theKeyano 23's and can actually say that this shoe continues to get better with every new model. This model is bestfor people with medium to high arches! I used to wear nothing but nike airmax$180/pair... after my first pair no more Nike's ever since the last year airmax that was close to a running shoe was the 2013 model. The asics provide better arch support and feels like your walking on pillows. They are a true running shoe not just a fashion shoe like others (nike airmax, shox, Go to a retailer that sells asics and try a pair on and I bet if your already not wearing Asics you will switchand never go back.i have had the best luck with Scheels they are most knowledgeable about what model of Asics will best suit your needs.

I have over pronation, and i browsed a lot for best running shoes and at several places I found Kayano 25 listed, but personally for me it didn't feel too great, the stability wasn't as much as I would expect being called shoe for over pronators. It is for persons who have moderate pronation. Also, the sober color options are very few, they have weird combinations of colors. I went with the light grey one, which was okay. I hope asics come up with other color options. Again a shoe that I could recommend to persons with moderate pronation, but not for overpronation. This is my personal thought. And I returned this shoe not because it was bad,but my preference is different; but still thought to post a review.

Delivered October 9th, 2019. Very comfortable. After 2 months, I can attest that these shoes are great. They have helped reduce heel pain from plantar fasciitis. The toe box area is wider than what I experienced with Nike shoes - this makes for a more comfortable wear and reduces callus formation in medial (front / inner) metatarsal pad area (area just inside ball of foot of big toe). Good arch support. These shoes are a huge value compared to the cost of other similar shoes (shoes meant to address heel and arch issues). I referee youth soccer and these shoes have made a big difference in controlling pain/discomfort, especially after several hours of running/sprinting/turning. Recommended!

This product is used mainly for walking. It has a thick heel which one would expect for walking. The front of the shoe has relatively thin rubber for what I'd expect out of a running shoe but was not what I intended to use it for anyways. The style is alright and the color is actually really nice. The only downside to the glacier white is of course all the dirt to ruin 160$ shoes. I would've loved black/black in 4E but seems like that was only possible if I bought it immediately on release. I expect/hope to get 300-500 miles out of these at least as I've upgraded from gt-1000 5 and gt-1000 6 which are cheaper shoes. The comfort is excellent.

I've been running in Asics for many years and although I have a neutral style I've tried switching to Kayanos to see if they support my flat feet better (been through many pairs of Nimbus in the past). Went for my first run this morning in my new Kayanos and they were very comfortable and supportive. Also opted for a 1/2 size larger as I've noticed Asics's have been getting a bit more snug over the last 1-2 years. Will try them out for another week or so and if they continue to perform well will definitely being ordering a second pair (I like to rotate my runing shoes to ensure they dry out properly between runs as I build up my distances).

Due to the tougher upper, I was prepared for this shoe to be heavier than the ASICS model I tried (for size) in a shop. This is not one of those light-as-a-feather running shoes. However, I love them, both from an aesthetic point of view and how they feel... including when I'm running. It's rare for me to order an 11 – what I "believe" to be my size – and then be happy with the fit. But these were bang on. I have pretty wide feet too, so to get the combination just right is something I consider a win. I'm actually considering another pair so I have some for running and others for casual.

I have a wide foot and when i'm looking for some new shoes i have to try and find sizes with a wide fit. Asics is one shoe company that offers wide sizes and i've been buying their shoes for years. This new model came out and I needed a new pair so I bought a pair through Amazon. When they arrived i tried them on and they fit perfectly. I'm going on a vacation next month and I wanted to be sure my new shoes would be broken in before I went on the trip and they felt good from the beginning and the more i wear them the better they feel. I liked them so much i ordered a second pair!

I've had the Gel Kayano 23 & 24's previously and they are true to fit. The 25's are larger than normal. They are half a size larger than the previous models or at least for me. Also, I feel these have less arch support and cushion than the 23 & 24's. I buy Gel Kayano as I have overpronation and plantar fasciitis. It is the only shoe that makes it bearable to walk in. It is still a great shoe but I had such good experiences with the previous 23 & 24 models I feel they fell short on the 25's. Probably still has the most cushion of any shoes out right out now though.

Superior quality, great fit, and excellent aesthetics that I have come to expect from Asics. This shoe felt like a snug house slipper upon installing onto my foot. The only two points I have noticed that may steer a new potential owner of these shoes away, is a slightly larger toe box than what most Asics have and a binding feeling utilizing the optional long laces and new lace points. Sticking to standard short laces and regular lacing points fixed this. Overall: fantastic shoe for day to day activities, would not purchase these as a devoted running shoe.

After reading many rankings and reviews of best running shoes available in 2019, I chose the Asics Gel-Kayano 25 because it was consistently (almost universally) ranked among the very best available. I must say that, so far, the shoes have met my expectations and lived up to their great reviews. They offer a smooth, secure ride with adequate toe splay and great cushioning, and they are aesthetically pleasing. This is my third pair of Asics and I have yet to be disappointed by this brand. Highly recommended!

The kayanos have always been my go to shoe. I have a high arch and wide feet. Tried other brands with insoles etc but ended up getting plantar. Went back to these and boom plantar gone after 48 hrs. This isn’t the right shoe for everyone but it is the right shoe for me. Asics makes several shoes for several feet types. Do the research and I’m sure you will find the perfect ones for you. Not might not be the style/ color you wanted but your feet and back and knees will all thank you later.

Have had foot problems for years. In the past bought Red Wing shoes with expensive inserts which worked pretty well. I’m 66, walk 10-12 miles per day, much of it up and down hills. Decided to try these shoes. After first day practically no foot pain whatsoever.Shoes seemed a little tight at first but after a couple of days they feel great.Awesome to walk and not have arch pain. Also eliminated the pain I was experiencing on the top of my foot.Definitely will purchase these again.
