Having always worn Asics Gel Kayano running shoes I was slightly nervous about buying the latest version given all the concerns expressed about the fact that these shoes are a tighter fit than previously. Since I have broad feet this was a real worry before I finally took the plunge and ordered these. I did as suggested and went for a half size up from my previous Gel Kayano 19's, but I'm not even sure that I needed to as these feel absolutely fabulous with no pinching at all. I've now been using them for all manner of runs and other sports for the last week or so and I have to say that they are the most comfortable running shoes I've ever owned.If like me you're worried about whether these won't fit as well as previous versions of this range of running shoes,

I have recently worn out a pair of Gel Kayano 21 and loved them, so the natural progression was to get the another pair, I chose the 22's as they do change slightly each time and generally for the better. done about 20 miles in them and they are light, comfortable and extremely bright. I had heat moulded insoles in my last pair but were extremely expensive so have used a pair similar from Amazon. I have a natural runner footprint and these are great highly cushioned in the right places, gel ball and heel of the foot. The main trainer is covered with a finer more complete material than the 21's only the tongue of the 22's is of the same material as the 21's. there are reflective panels on the heel of the trainer.

Rather narrower and more firmly fitting than my old ASICS 20's,which have served me well,as ASICSalways do. If you have a broad foot these may feel somewhat tight especially at the toe box.I have a fairly narrow foot,so these are fine.Support ,cushioning ,and comfort are excellent.A good choice of colours,and the usual good quality of construction (My old 20,s in mainly blue seem to me to have a slight edge on the new models ,overall appearance wise,but this is a trivial ,and strictly personal preference.)Will stand up to a fair degree of punishment from the more serious runners among us.A long term ,tried and tested "top of the range" technical running shoe.Very speady delivery with the usual

I have always been an Asics fan and have owned several pairs in the past. But this pair was just pleasing I didnt actually purchase it but was given it and have found it one of the most amazing shoes in the world. The level of comfort is just out of this world and apart from that they look really nice after you get used to them. The Gel-Kayano line are my favorite "trainers" in the business and if this review hasn't convinced you to purchase them i urge you to go try them out at a local dealer. They will blow your mind. These are great running shoes, no mistake. The cushion soles and gait are amazing and previous knee and calf issues are a thing of the past. But. This is the third pair of these I’ve had and putting aside the great points, the inner lining of the shoe on all three pairs have been an issue. Pairs 1 & 2, the lining around the inner heal wore away or split quite quickly on both feet and I needed to tape them to avoid blisters. Latest pair have split and rub quite sore after a while around the back of the shoe, bottom of my Achilles, say 30/40 minutes in. Great shoes but having to make running repairs myself is a bit irritating, and boring for the price.

I replaced my Kayano 21 with the new 22's after finding the previous one's so easy to get on with. For me these shoes offer all I have been looking for in a running shoe, comfort, support and the feeling of confidence with every step.The fit is a little small and so please order at least half a size above your normal running shoe size if you are ordering these shoe's for the first time. A longer lace would be good for those runners who use all of the lace holes.If you are looking for a replacement running shoe I would recommend trying these if you are a mild to medium over pronator..

These are excellent running shoes for over pronators. Comfortable and supportive to the feet on impact, without being too heavy. Strongly recommend trying on a few pairs of running shoes at a running store to ensure you get the right type of shoe if you are running regularly.These are well made and there are less expensive options but I think it's worth the investment if it suits your running style and you have tried them on. My previous pair of kayanos lasted a few years and many miles.

These are easily the best running shoes I've ever owned. It feels like running on a mat, the cushioning is amazing.If I had these from 30 years ago I'm sure I'd never have developed my current knee issues.I'd buy another pair when these wear out without hesitation. I don't want any other pair of shoes.They also provide great support for my over pronation.I bought a second pair from somewhere else just to use casually as they are so beneficial for my knees.

I admit I haven't actually run in these yet but they appear to be good replacements for my Kayano 16s (I don't road run much - mostly trail). The design is a lot more "black" than my older ones but it all looks okay.Ever so slightly concerned about the fit - they feel snug on the right foot but they are supremely comfortable.I had some good race results in my 16s so hoping the 22s will do the same.

Best purchase I have made for running. Went to have my gait tested prior to purchase, good job I did as these weren't the ones I was going to buy initially. I was slightly over. These have made a huge difference for me and set my personal best for 5k and 10k on their first run.I bought a size up as they fitted slightly more comfy. I run between 10-30k per week and these are still going strong.

I bought these 3.5 months ago and they fell apart on me. The soles still have a little bit of life in them but the inside of the shoes have wore out. Why am I giving these shoes 5 stars? Because THEY ARE AWESOME. So comfortable and so supportive. I have never been able to comfortably walk/run but these shoes helped get over 750 miles in 10 weeks. So happy with them, just bought another pair.

A superb quality pair of trainers.Very comfortable and well made, and available in a funky range of colours.Although I liked these shoes a lot, the only thing I would warn people of is that the ride is extremely soft & bouncy. In my opinion this made them unsuitable for overpronators, who are the target market.I prefer a much firmer ride, especially for longer distance running (10km+).

I have to mention that I knew the size I am wearing in ASICS shoes after visiting a store and tried a couple of pairs.I am over-pronator and I like their support. They feel light and the gel-y thing is amazing. Tempted to use them everyday but the soles are a bit slippery on a wet pavement.FYI I am not an athlete, I am using them to run on a treadmill in gym.

I have quite bad over-pronation and I have been through a fair amount of running shoes to help with the pain. These are fantastic. Rugged, incredibly comfortable and they fit perfectly. They really are the reason I got back into running earlier this year, after having less success with the supernova sequence successors the year before.

Very comfortable for running. Comes with a padded insole as well. Do note that it's quite tight around the toes (height-wise), so grab a size up. Wearing size nine for my leather shoes with plenty of toe space, 9.5 for these were just fine length-wise, but tight around the toes. Ordering size 10 now.
