First off this review is based on my experience with my rather large Newfie who has reached the age of 9 and suffers with poor joints on his rear legs. There is only one reason why I picked this as it claims to have glucosamine and MSM which is claimed to help with joint care.Ingredients look about the same as many other foods but 740mg of each of glucosamine and MSM is included in what is stated per kg. In the real world that's a very small amount but when you combine this with other supplements it helps to add up the total amount of the given supplements fed to my dog.I combine several products by Riaflex with this food so I cant say the food alone has improved his joints or coat and I cannot say with my hand on my heart that this food alone would be of any benefit to my old boys joints. This food also soaks up the warm water nicely too which I have to do as the supplements I include are powder form.Oh I'm not into packaging, it does say not tested on animals so I'm not sure how they check it as its animal food. I leave that one to your thoughts.I'm giving it 4 stars as it's eaten by my old boy and has the joint care supplements.

Been feeding my dog Arden Grange ever since I got him settled from the Dog Trust 9 years ago. They recommended another product but I've fed all my dogs on one version or another of this stuff for many years. This is the first time I've tried the senior, previously, my current dog, has been on the Light version as he tends to be a bit on the greedy side so needs to have his weight controlled but as he is now 9 decided to try this version. Does he eat it? To be honest he would eat anything and everything you put in front of him but he does appear to be a little more content/relaxed on this version. The Light was basically all rice so whilst keeping weight down he was turning into a scavenger as he was always hungry! This has fewer calories but is higher in meat content along with a joint supplement! I'll give it a go and keep a close eye on his weight but if that stays the same then I see no reason not to continue using the Senior. Only time will tell.

We're new converts and I now have both my dogs on different sorts of Arden Grange complete foods - after years of putting up with grim almost impossible pooper scooping my old labrador now is solid as a rock and the task of picking up after him is a a complete doddle. He's also always been on the skinny side and after some weeks recovering from major surgery, his weight loss had become a great concern. A tip-off about Arden Grange from a friend who happens to work at our vets surgery was what made me try this food and the results are amazing. He's put on weight, his coat is glossy. he's perky and active - "Sargey is looking well!" has been the comment so many times since he's been on this new food - so I now also buy a different Arden Grange food for his younger companion, our Jack Russell.

We started our greyhound off on the salmon and rice variety, having switched from a similar flavour from another brand. We decided to make the switch due to carrying out some research when his usual food wasn't available and finding that Arden Grange had better ingredients and nutrients. He made the switch to this brand without any issue and we noticed that his poops were the healthiest they had ever been and his coat was nice and soft. Since then, as we have an old boy, we have changed to Arden Grange senior dog food. Once again, he switched without issue and is very excited at mealtimes. Happy dog, mum and dad!

My elderly greyhound is hard to please ! She is (so far ) enjoying the Arden Grange Senior and I hope that she continues to enjoy it . I have tried so many and she starts off okay then gets more picky as time goes by . She has freshly cooked chicken or beef but she is a pain to keep in good condition (I like my dogs with a good covering on their backs ) Her poo is very good on Arden Grange and she does not go so often . She has been on Burns previously but is not enthusiastic even with the fresh meat . I am about to order another bag of Arden Grange so I hope she continues to enjoy it !

Bought this food for my 8 year old mini schnauzer who seems to be having joint issues. What can I say this food has resulted in what can only be described as puppy behaviour! She's full of life, coats gorgeous, shines and soft. It's an amazing transformation! The kibble is a little smaller too which is great and more importantly she loves it!!! Poos are good too which is always a bonus! Highly recommend this for younger dogs who just need that bit of a lift. Wouldn't go back to the other one now which was also Arden Grange adult but not senior.

Just switched my dog onto arden grange (introduced over a period of 5 to 7 days)as she is older now, and shes ok with it. I have given a 4 as its well packaged, but the kibble is too small . My dogs a greedy c***, and she just hoovers these up in no time barely chewing, so i would buy again if the kibble was larger (atleast twice the size) as i have noticed she does'nt c**p as much or fart constantly on this food! Overall a good product at a competitive price - just not for my greedy little monster.

We were recommended this brand by a relative who breeds collies. One of our Westies was recently diagnosed diabetic and we wanted a product that has no crap in it so we can control her sugar levels better. The girls love it and within 2 weeks we noticed one of our other Westies, who had arthritic rear legs, was bouncing around like a pup again. So all very happy.Started off using it dry, them wet and now they prefer it dry again.

We moved our 10 year old Arthritic Border Collie from James Wellbeloved Senior onto this as it's more cost effective and she seems to be slightly more mobile (less limpy) on it, perhaps due to the joint supplements that form some of the ingredients. She seems to really enjoy eating it too which is always good and she never complains.Much cheaper than Ocado too when you subscribe and save - so a good deal all round.

I’ve been feeding Arden Grange for 10+ years after the breeder of my Dobe said that’s what she used. Her dogs are in Crufts so I assumed she knew what she was talking about! My dogs aren’t small so get through a decent amount of food. I’ve always found the quality/quantity to be good value. Both dogs have always had good coats and no joint issues so I’d recommend.

Excellent product. Our dog cannot get enough of it but then he is a Beagle! We changed to this brand as it is hypo-allergenic, and also chose the senior version as he is over 11 now and he is certainly thriving on this food. Only minor niggle is that it would be good if it was supplied in a 'zip lock' bag such as Hills use, but otherwise very satisfied with it.

Good quality dogs kibble which is on the moist side which is ideal for my dog. My only quibble is that the bag was only 12kg and I would have preferred the standard 17kg which I know will last for approx. 2 months whereas the smaller package which I assume ill not last as long which is unknown to me and I cannot factor in timing for re-order etc...!!!

very good for older dogs as the glucosamine in it keeps them supple, I have been using it for many years. I mix in vegetables or a food high in vegetables to keep their bowls and glands healthy. My afghan cross was on Arden grange from around 8 to her peaceful end at 16. My current dogs are both on this diet and bright and active at 10.

Worked in a kennel years ago and the boss always used Arden Grange, so when my oldest dog went off her food I thought I would try her on this, not really anymore expensive than her other brand, but she enjoys it so much and is bounding about like a youngster again, it's really helped with her joints, so win win

We have moved our dog onto this and there has been a noticeable improvement in her joints. She also loves to eat it which is great. Best price you can get through subscribe and save. Also really pleased that it just gets delivered without a box or other packaging as this cuts out unnecessary cardboard waste.
