I bought this on impulse in a Lightning Deal but it is amazing value for money. The nose is sweet and fruity, almost with some reminiscence of beer hops. The flavour follows suit with an easy palate of fruit and honey, followed by a strong but cultivated burn. For the money this is great. I'd easily compare it in complexity and quality to more expensive Scotch staples (e.g. Glenmorangie 18.)Don't be put off by the place it is from. This is a grown up single malt from a master!

Fabulous, astonishingly complex & dangerously moreish whisky: the interplay between the smokey Islay barley, the malty, almost fruity, Himalayan barley & the sappy tannin from the American Oak barrels (not to mention the almost imperceptible background minerality, which I presume is from the - 3000ft above sea level - distillery's water) is, for me at least, unique & I will indubitably be ordering more of this whisky in the not-too-distant future!

Bought this for my Partner for his Christmas Present this year (Yes, it's early and I've already received it). He tried it at the Whiskey festival in Newcastle during the summer and decided it was what he wanted.Fast delivery and excellent whiskey from what I gather, alas, a whiskey lover myself, I cannot have a taste until christmas day :(

If you like malt whisky and you haven't tried this yet then buy it. I know its Indian but this won first place in a whisky tasting at my whisky club against 6 other first class scotch whisky's. It is a bit expensive but worth every penny. To be honest Amrut don't make a bad whisky.

I bought this for my Scottish, whisky loving husband, I get great amusement finding whiskies that aren't from Scotland and getting him to guess where they are from, He loved this Amrut and thought it was a Speyside, so if you are looking for a gift for a whisky lover, I'd try this.

Described by the Whisky Bible as the third best whisky in the world a couple of years ago, this is a wonderful drink. Almost impossible to find in India, but well worth seeking out through Amazon. Buy with anticipation, drink with pleasure.

I had this and expected to be blown away... but I wasn't because it was that bad, though not my favourite. It does boil down to the price... one moment its £60 then the next its £45, mind you a person can do a whole lot worse.

My favourite whisky for some time. Really pleased I bought it. I prefer it straight rather than with water.I have a collection of Scottish single malts and also American whiskies and this is my current favourite.

Exactly as it says a wonderful fusion of Indian and Scottish barley. Only tried this as it is in 101 Whiskies to try before you die and I am very glad that I did, this will not be my last bottle.

arrived in the best packaging I've seen, solid and safe. whiskey is a little harsh for my taste but with an ice cube or a little water it tastes great, one of my favs now. love it.

For me this dram hit the spot.Lovely nose, long lasting flavour a little peaty with a hint of spice. This was voted the third best whisky in the world in 2010.Well worth a try.

Was bought this as a present last year. Enjoyed so much had to buy another bottle. There's a good reason this was Jim Murray’s Third Finest Whisky in the World for 2010.

Brought as a gift for a whisky lover just starting out exploring the world of whisky. Can see why this was rated, smells lush and was told it tasted divine.
