All the knives apart from the main chef knife work perfectly and hold an edge. Seems it doesn’t matter how much I sharpen the chef knife it won’t smoothly cut through an onion. It still does but be prepared to slip and nearly get a finger a few times. I will probably just have to buy a different knife to replace this one.As said before, every other knife in this set are perfect and do the job. Still a good set to have. Looks professional and are well built. The steak knives in particular look good when the dining table’s set up.Good value for money and just shy of perfect.

Value wise this knife set is fantastic; the steel is fairly hard and the handles are comfortableThe knives come with a mediocre edge which will be sufficient for casual use but is nowhere near razor sharp and the angle is too shallow to sharpen properly (I'd say almost 30 degrees)If you really want to get the most out of these knives you'll need to re-edge them using a whetstone or similar sharpening system with a decent 20 degree angle, however, it really is worth the investment and extra effort and cost to produce a good hard wearing set of razor sharp knives

Love my knife block every knive you need in one place and the scissors come apart (purposefully) so that they are really easy to clean.I did have a problem with the scissors the covering on the handle came off but on contact was told to return the whole set and a new set was returned to me. Amazon made the return and replacement so effortless. I cannot thank them enough.

I am very surprised with these knives.I have bought them like 5 months ago.they are still like new,no rust or stains.They are quite sharp,but there is also a sharpener,so before using I just pull them over it few times and they are fantastic.These knives are a great quality item for home use

I bought this to replace one I have had for over 30 years, including the knives. So far I'm delighted with it. It is sturdy and the knives are sharp and seem to be well made. I like the fact that the handles are riveted in because they always last longer and there is no glue to get soft.

Build quality wasn’t the best in our case, These is a large split in the wood and a few dings but for the price you can’t complain really and they are out of view at the back anyway.Has a good selection of knives and the knives seem a decent quality.Overall quite pleased.

A great starter knife set all the blades are sturdy and they go into the handle so you know they won’t come loose. Also the wooden block is sturdy and very well made. Items are super sharp and it comes with a sharpening tool which is even better.

Great knife set, was completely surprised by the weight and quality of the wood block and the knives, was not expecting such high quality for the price but was pleasantly surprised. And the knives came sharp which is always a bonus.

Great set, perfect as I have moved in to a new place and these are perfect for all I need, the steak knives are an additional bonus compared to most sets you get and are excellent quality.

Wooden block holding up well after a couple of months use. Have used mineral oil to stop it drying out.Knives are excellent with a full tang, very sturdy and seems they will last years

Nice set for the £30. Sure there's cheaper and more expensive. This is right in the middle. Quality blades, good block. Enjoy cutting up anything with ease.
