Thumpback is one of eight Giants Skylanders and represents the elemental Water source. Be aware that this figure does NOT work with the original Skylanders, "Spyro's Adventure".Design:Thumpback is nearly twice the height of regular Skylander figures and has a solid, high-quality feel to it. The figure is based on whales and shows morphological features of both, baleen whales and toothed whales. The water base and purple barnacles on his wrists are translucent. Set on the portal, his wrist protection will glow with a dark blue colour. There are no other illuminating parts to the toy. Thumpback is rich in detail in sculpt and paint: his body colour varies from light blue to a darker colour,his back is littered with barnacles, paint on armour parts, chain. eyes, tongue and toes is applied nicely without too much overlap onto other parts of the figure. The only thing I dislike is the lack of colour detailing on his shoulder pads (e.g. backwash). Certainly one of the better looking Skylanders out there!Gameplay:Thumpback has two default attacks: He can swing his anchor in a wide arch, dealing damage to all enemies in reach. Thumpback can even perform a combo by pressing buttons in a specific sequence (easy to carry out for young gamers). His secondary attack is a belly flop, allowing him to cover ground faster and hitting enemies in the process. This attack is excellent as Thumpback is usally slow (speed 20) and would otherwise struggle to finish some of the Heroic Challenges of the game. His third attack lets him bite enemies to inflict large amounts of damage. Upgrade paths allow further development of his anchor or concentrate on his belly flopping and chomping. The former alters the look and damage of the anchor attack and gives Thumpback extra attack combos, such as using his anchor to create a whirlpool. The latter allows biting during belly sliding and releasing a stream of water (and seastars) through blowhole and mouth. It also improves his armour significantly. The only downside: Thumpback's belly slide is difficult to control, so prepare to slide of ledges or to get stuck in obstacles from time to time.My verdict:I absolutely love Thumpback! He is fun to play, looks good and even provides some educational value by teaching kids the difference between whales of the mysticete and odontocete family. IGNITOR is of the FIRE element.I have Skylanders for both 3DS and PS3. Ignitor is fantastic on the consoles, he's fun to pay with and his upgrades are brilliant. On the 3DS, not so much, hes ok and I would still reccommend him, but if you've only got the game for the 3DS, I would seek a different Fire Skylander. Your Amazon UK account will work just fine, so you don't need a German credit card or shipping address. You will pay a few extra pounds for shipping, but in total, you'll get Ninjini for less than 20 quid -- rather than paying 32+. She is a great character to have either in battle arenas or advancing through levels.For parents who are being selective about which Skylanders to buy, this one is definitely worth it!

I am playing Skylanders adventure and giants as a twenty year old girl and I can't get enough, the game is not just for children as some challenges are difficult, timed and even a little confusing. It is a very long game only made more entertaining by my purchase of Drobot.I didn't realise I had bought the lightcore Drobot as for several weeks I have been desperate to buy him, at a reasonable price I purchased him on Monday and he arrived on Saturday morning.The lightcore when placed on the portal of power lights through the centre of the figure and the Skylander on screen.Pros of Drobot:Technical element.When levelled up becomes durable.Excellent upgradesEasier mini game areasAdorableHas ahilarious laugh and makes random odd comments.Pretty strong.Puts another sticker on your chartCons:This Skylander cannot move as fast as some other's e.g. Cynder and Sonic BoomNot the best for abilities.Can die easily due to hindering speed and power in his eye lazers and razor gearsGears are difficult to aim as they shoot from his wingsWill not work on Skylanders adventure and visa versa.I personally highly recommend Drobot for anyone wanting to add to their Skylanders collection. (DROBOT AND LIGHTCORE DROBOT ARE REQUIRED TO COMPLETE THE CHART)

Maybe its because the character is female? but Flashwing is cetainly an eye-catcher. The transparent, lilac crystal wings take on different hues as the portal changes colour, this in itself is pleasing to watch, but the model is one of best looking and posed Skylanders.In game the character is great to play, finding the Soul Gem that enables the Lighthouse Power is well worth it. If you've already found her soul gem make the aforementioned power your first upgrade. Press Z then hold Z to summon a small tower with a continuously rotating beam that on contact not only deals a fair degree of damage but also causes knock-back.Her normal powers are a rapid fire tail that shoots crystal shards.The low damage is overcome by the rapid rate of fire that's possible. Later upgrades allow these crystals to stick to walls. Once stuck they too will shoot crystal when Flashwing does. Further down the upgrade path being close to such an attached crystal will also heal Flashwing.Her other power is a directable spin attack good for getting out of close combat situations.Definatley one of the more pleasing new characters to own and surely one destined for a lightcore version later.

I'm 20 and I adore Skylanders because I just love really funky, action, puzzle and violent games.The best character in this pack is the Hot Dog. He is funny, adorable and pretty powerful. He also gains good upgrades and has a good range for his attacks.Zap you do need to level up more and upgrade lots before he becomes exceptionally good, Zap is not a bad character but I do find him awkward the way he runs to me personally I don't like it and his attacks are not very powerful most of the time.Anyone who says this pack is over priced is an idiot because these characters are worth it, check the price of Hot Dog on his own, about £17 and then paying for postage on them and the other two items.You can't expect to get it for £5 because they cost to make, they cost to package and they have scanners they aren't action figures to be dragged about the muck in. If they write that, they understand nothing of Skylanders and should be ignored.Pros:Characters are good especially Hot DogPrice is greatVarietyOptional CatapultAdds to collectionCons:Zap isn't an overly amazing character but he does okay.You don't actually need the catapult for anything.

Crusher is in my opinion one of the best characters, dominating small foes with crushing blows. He moves in a deliberate slow and labored fashion, but it's only because he wants to torment his enemies with his enormous size and glowing blue eyes. He is practically unstoppable. See him coming towards you and tremble in fear, with a swing of his mighty hammer, he will turn you to dust!Crusher (and all Skylanders) are well built and do feel a lot heavier than you'd expect for their size. For the price these figures are, you can certainly see that Activision has gone to town with the materials and paint jobs on each character. Yes, they are made in China, which conjures up images of cheapness,but when you hold them, they are not really what you'd consider to be 'toy quality', the quality is more like what you'd expect to find in collectors action figurines.The only minor annoyance I have with Crusher, is his voice and dialogue are somewhat irritating.

My son has great taste. He had been telling me ad Drobot was one going to be a great character. Now that I think about it how can you go wrong with a robotic dragon? His attacks are excellent. His eye beams are one of the fast attacks n the game. To begin with they are not the most damaging attacks but what they lack in one shot damage the more than make up for in volume. His blade attacks are more powerful but harder to aim and you can only throw twice on the screen (4 blades) at once. The way I use these is throw so they randomly bounce around the screen while blasting everyone with eye beams. His upgrades are more upgrading the power of his attacks than new abilities. Like most of the other dragons he can fly,but one of his upgrades s afterburners that leave flames behind to burn enemies. These also make his flight a lot faster. Also he adds wing laser later that double his already high speed attack.

Always tricky finding ones the nephews haven't got but this set was perfect. One new Skylander for each of them plus a random cannon that is the property of Uncle Mark when I am in town. The two figures are the rather obviously named 'Chop Chop' who wields a sword and is quite nippy around the game and is a series 2 character, and 'ShroomBoom' who is a cycloptic fungal chap who appears to have od'ed on happy pills. ShroomBoom is a ranged attack character who fires mushrooms at things whereas as Chop Chop is a melee style character who needs to get up close and personal to wield his enormous sabre.The Cannon is great fun in the battle arena, highly amusing for blowing up your opponents!This pack will work with all platforms of the game,wii, Xbox, PS3 etc.At the current price of just over £8 this pack is excellent value compared to normal Skylander prices.At the current price

Drobot is definitely my second favourite Skylander. He's cute, funny and pretty powerful with a great back story.Drobot's skilled can be classed as somewhat limited as he does use range motions and his flight is incredibly slow when he upgrades to it, however, what he loses in speed, he makes up for in power. I personally really enjoy using Drobot, he is a great Skylander and provides hours of fun. His voice and phrases are funny especially seeing as he created his robotic suit himself.His lightcore makes the button on his back glow when he is on the portal of power and in the game so he literally glows.Drobot has strong upgrades and is definitely a character that can get you through to theend and that you can rely on to be a big help throughout your game and he is a must have for any collector or fan alike.Five stars to Drobot the Ultimate Robot!

My 8 year old son has recently got into the skylanders game and was looking for a variety of characters to allow him to complete different parts of the game. Some of these characters can be really expensive - Game like to charge around 10.00 in store brand new for them, but Amazon have a great variety of characters of different elements at reasonable prices. They are great little figures, we use them for Trap Team and they work great for them. Great value buying on amazon - otherwise the games could cost you considerably more (but to be honest I do despise that the game requires continuous purchases to complete - the only saving grace is that there are characters available that are lower in price)If you are investing in the game, I would highly recommend these lower priced amazon skylanders.

Hex has to be one of my favourite characters, she's powerful, she's cool and she's undead with a brilliant back story. What I like about Hex is she has a lot of power and her moves from the beginning are decent enough to get her through on the hard level. She can throw power balls or hold square to charge to maximum and throw two which wield some pretty good damage.She levitates and that's always a plus with great upgrades.She's the sort of character both guys and girls will enjoy using because she's dark, she's smooth and she doesn't have any silly or arrogant phrases in her when collecting treasure.Overall I give her a five star rating, she is definitely one to add to your collection and put on display,more than worth the money, I am one happy collector!

I purchased this Fright Rider for my 9 year old son who has started playing Trap Team a few months ago and wanted to expand his collection of skylanders but we didn't want to spend a load of money on the characters so opted for the characters from the previous games, this being one of them. He particularly likes the Fright Rider character as although it is small there are a lot of good upgrades to make this small character quite powerful. I love that these are forward compatible but think the price when they first come out is just crazy! Ultimately happy with my purchase of a figure from a previous game,its a good way of adding variety to an expensive new way of gaming but at a lesser price.

i bought this with a voucher that i got from my school and it didn't dissapoint- she is really powerfull and her wow pow is awesome- her clouds shoot out rainbows on their own! she is good in co-op because her soul gem means that she can heal her allies with her rainbow beams which comes in really handy if you need to keep a certain element in the level for later on.the price was really cheap considerin that they are £8.99 brand new in my local Sainsbury's. it was a quick delivery but you have to wait in because it is toobig to post through a letter box but i didnt reallly mind.

I purchased this figure for my grandson's Christmas stocking at the request of his parents. Not knowing much about these figures or the Skylanders series, I trusted that Amazon's price would be competitive. When my daughter heard what I paid ($24 w/shipping), she was shocked as the brick-and-mortar stores are selling these figures for between $10 and $15. I'm sure my grandson will love it; however, I am a little more than miffed about the high price I paid through this third-party Amazon vendor. I guess the old adage "Let the Buyer Beware" certainly holds true this time ...
