So, after opening the boxes this candle came in - honestly it was like a Russian nesting doll - the first thing I done when I opened the lid is gave the candle a good old sniff. It doesn't have a smell you can put your finger on, you can't say it's this or that. But I do find it is a really nice, subtle smell.I also love the way that you can now put the lid under the candle instead of having to place the candles on plates. Just make sure that you put it on a stable surface. I usually don't even have to light the candles either as I find that the smell of the unlit candle permeates the house quite nicely (and if you are going to spend £20 odd you want to look at it for a while first).

I'm a big old fan of Yankee candles - I always think they look really stylish and have an absolute ton of scents (one for every occasion or person, I think!) so I was well chuffed to receive this one. It's perfect - I received the small, which is an ideal size for a mantelpiece or at the table (be careful while burning them though), and it's an unusual rectangular shape with a cork lid on the top. It's quite pleasing to pull it on and off, to be honest! Inside, the candle has two wicks and is a lovely grey shade, perfect for our living room! It does smell sort of like the coast, but more floral than sea salt. It burns well, too - I think it will last for ages - and I think it's a perfect little gift for anyone who loves their candles!

The candle and container exude a feeling of quality and the aroma is pleasant and subtle aroma, contrasting well with most scented candles which I find overpowering. I don't mind it but be aware the flame is small. My main gripe is that you are supposed to place the lid on the table and place the candle on the lid which has a nice flexible plastic flange to hold the candle snug. Unfortunately the flange is too small and, despite fiddling for five minutes, including trying to slide a knife inside the flange, I couldn't get the candle to fit.Some people are happy to pay this sort of money for a candle, others aren't so I have not taken into account the price in my rating. Ignoring the price,

A top quality, chunky three inch square heavyweight glass container for this light blue candle, with a sturdy, golden brass effect base/lid, that sits perfectly stable on whatever level surface you choose. A rubber lip around the lid works both to protect the candle before lighting and later to keep it still when turned over. This offers a reassuring amount of safety in use and looks tidy and attractive.The scent of Cypress is very fresh, invigorating and clean. I can imagine it burning pleasantly in a bathroom. Much thought and care have gone into this design of the Yankee Candle Elevation Collection, and it shows.

I had been searching for a candle and stumbled on this Yankee Candle on offer whilst browsing amazon.The smell is quite subtle ( Beautiful hints of linen ) but not too overpowering, the overall look of the candle is appealing and would certainly make a great gift for a friend or family member anytime of the year.My only critic would be I wasn't quite happy with the overall packaging of the candle and whilst it is a fairly nice candle I don't think I got my moneys worth.( too pricey for what it is, even on offer )

Brought this for my sister in law but nearly kept it for myself because it smells sooooo good!! It was strong and gorgeous smelling. I Would have loved to have lit it for my own home. It is a small candle. About the size of the £1 wilko candle.. maybe a tad bigger but depends what size you order. I brought a small.

Unfortunately i personally do not like the smell. It hurts my throat being so strong.That being said, the candle is lasting forever in another house, it arrived on time, was great value for money and theres absolutely no complaints to make about the product itself.

Love this !New favourite scent ,It’s a mix of caramel and musk what you would imagine cashmere to smell of really it’s a beautiful candle , really nice , smell very cosy and smells lovely Throughout my home x would recommend especially for a gift it’s lovely

"Velvet Woods" is a lovely comforting smell suited for cold weather but not Christmassy. The new look container looks classy and therefor makes it a very nice gift. Trim your wicks each time and the candles burns true.

The wrong scent came but I don't mind as I'm a guy and I only bought it to make my living room nicer for working from home and to take my mind off the old coronavirus. The one that came smells nice and that'll do me.

My wife and I really loves this one. Comes in a beautiful glass jar and smells great. Has a fresh scent which easily fills the room. Burns a little fast or maybe that's just my wife lighting it too often

Bought for a present and when i opened the package I was hit with a lovely smell. Nicely presented for a gift when you compare it to the more comman Yankee Jars.Sent fills the room when burning.

Smells beautiful. Strong throw.Now a regular scent for me.I like the double wick as they melt to the edge quite quickly so no waiting 3 hours to avoid tunneling.

Bought as a gift for someone who loves Yankee candles and she is very pleased with it. Nice variation on design, with lid elevation. Larger size, nice scent.

Bought this for a gift and it was great fully received, well presented slightly different to the typical Yankee candle. The scent is lovely
