I'm converted. Never been a major fan of scented candles, but I fancied something new - and I was curious about the brand. Well, hands-down, this is lovely. First off, the scent is divine; sometimes these kinds of things can sound great, but deliver an 'almost but not quite' chemical equivalent. Not this Yankee Candle. Granted, I don't know what misty mountains smell like, but this has zero chemical tang, and isn't in any way overpowering. In fact, the most surprising thing was how soothing the scent was: after 20 or so minutes I became aware of how calm and relaxed, and at home, I felt - and that can only be down to the candle. Hadn't expected this effect,so it was a welcome experience.As for the price: the packaging says this will burn for between 65 and 75 hours, and I can believe that. I had this on for an evening, and it barely showed. So, in that respect, I'm of the conclusion this is really good value - so much so that I found myself thinking about which one I'd buy next (and for someone for whom scented candles don't figure, that's testament to how lovely this is).Feel I should point out that I had the jar on a cork coaster, checked it periodically and there was no real heat transfer. (Obviously I wouldn't take that as license to put it on a surface without a matt underneath.) Moreover, there was no dark smoke off the candle, which, again, points to how this isn't a jam-packed chemical product.

This is a little on the small side, for value for money I think the larger ones would be a better purchase, if you wanted to sample this one in particular there are smaller stand alone candles without the glass jar I think.While this is small, if you set it on an level surface, it does burn down very evenly and does not burn to the finish too quickly. The fragrance is not too strong prior to the candle being lit, it can not be detected when the lid is in place, the candle wick itself and the candle wax do not smoke a lot when lit or when extinguished.The fragrance is a pleasant fruit like fragrance, not too strong but it will fill up a room that the candle is placed in pretty quickly and is definitely distinct from others available from Yankee,easily detectable if you leave the room and return to it. My favourits in the Yankee range remain some of the red ones which are available around Christmas time which combine cinnamon, orange and seasonal smells such as that. This may have a calmative property or it may, as I think is more likely, just provide a sweet smell and maybe provide some mood lighting or a bit of ambiance. Recommended.

I've never experienced receiving a Yankee candle before and I have to say I was impressed.Firstly medium is a good hefty size and this came well packed in polystyrene.The jar had the wow factor as it is beautiful -the glass jar has the yankee signature embossed on the lid and the label is so pretty with a picture to represent the scent-in this case misty mountains.I loved the idea of misty mountains -it's part of their new travel range -and I was wary that although I loved the idea of the scent-I was concerned the pine and mint mentioned would smell like a cleaner -however it doesn't at all!It's a gorgeous evocative smell...a fresh scent...but delicate with layers in that it smells complex as nature does...I got that evocative scent and loved itBurn time states I think 64/65 hours... I know from TV selling I've watched that the burn time is only achieved when you regularly burn for 3 hours plus ...to do with the wax pooling well. You can buy wick trimmers too which could be helpful.You don't even need to light this to get the pleasure...admire it and get the scent..it's so strong you only need smell inside the lid.

I’ve only ever been up one misty mountain in my time, but I don’t recall it smelling like this. Granted that was in Port Talbot, where the smell of the steelworks and kebab houses seemed to impregnate everything, so for all I know this really could be Mynydd Dinas in a jar. I guess I’ll never know.This candle gives off a fresh ‘outdoor’ scent – nothing too heavy, but pleasant all the same. Quality ingredients ensure you get a scent with doesn’t offend the senses.For a Medium candle this is big, so you’re going to get a long burn time. Clive, who runs our local indoor bowls club claims he ordered the large version once and it actually came with two burly Polish men to install it in his house –now that’s what I call value for money.I enjoyed it so much that I’m just about to purchase two other candles in their range – Warm Woolen Mittens and Brown Paper Packages – I urge you to do the same.

I love this scent so much, I buy two every year and find it excellent for covering up cooking and dog smells in the house. It has a very sweet but fresh refreshing smell. As with most Yankee candles, this can be a bit smoky when first blown out. I find it best to put the lid on immediately after extinguishing. This, again as with most of these candles, has a tendency to burn more in the middle but I normally combat this but swirling the wax around the candle while it is cooling down and find this gives it more of a lifespan.

A new one for me. Never been able to find the 'right' scent to burn in the home and was only able to get this in the small jar. I will have a large one!The scent fills the house wonderfully and the warmth and sweetness is fresh and soothing at the same time. Vanilla and peach come to mind (although I am no scent specialist) and there's almost a fresh-air and saltiness that makes this scent wonderfully fresh and summery!A wonderful gift but if you're like me, it's a gift I'd definitely give myself! Gorgeous and luxurious!

I have been using yankee candles for a number of years now and always put them on my birthday/xmas lists as they are expensive so i consider them a well deserved treat, so i was pleasantly surprised when i found these small but delightful ones at a very reasonable cost i have been using this one for over a week now and the fragrance is lovely very fresh and leaves a lingering aroma when distinguished I will definately be purchasing again and will try other fragrances great for gifts but even better for yourself..thank you

It’s a very mild sweet smell, but you get what you ask for and unlike some scents it never gets irritating unlike some more powerful candles, it’s very well balanced. It is very much a background scent that emulates the subtle cold air of a mountain combined with mist. It’s difficult for me to describe but it’s a very subtle scent that immediately makes me relaxed, I couldn’t possibly recommend a better candle for a background fragrance, rather then the central attraction for an entire living space.

I love Yankee Candles, they always smell great and can fill a large room very quickly with a lovely smell. Wish they were cheaper but most candles i've used that are cheap never have a strong smell. I purchased 'Pink Sands'. The yankee candles that come in a glass jar look great too. Would make a great gift and a nice treat for yourself. I would say that make sure you buy a long lighter as you won't be able to fit your hand in one of these once it starts getting to the middle.

I was given this when my son was born and I burned it in his nursery, it was just lovely smelled of baby and even now when I burn it it takes me back to when he was tiny. I never used actual baby powder on him but this candle is just such a clean smell and lovely for a nursery. These candles are strongly scented and this really does fill the home so you won't be disappointed.I recommend getting it in medium or large though becasue the smaller ones are expensive.

This certainly lived up to its name, giving off a lovely strong scent of talcum powder; soft and fresh, with just that tang of bitterness that is characteristic of talc. I got both the Clean Cotton and the Baby Powder jars from Yankee Candle, and the Clean Cotton is a pleasant but subtle scent of fresh laundry; if you want a stronger clean-smelling scented candle, Baby Powder fits the bill. They really last a very long time in the large jars also.

Love Yankee candles, however, they can be overly scented. This smelt very strong after the first three long burns but has now 'settled' and is very pleasant. The lavender scent is stronger than that of the lemon.Initially the fragrance was overbearing so I moved the candle from room to room to defuse the aroma. It is now fine and my home smells lovely.I find a candle topper makes Yankee candles last a lot longer. Well worth purchasing one.

This is one of the best smells in the entire world. I spent an hour blasting my nostrils with different smells in the local candle shop and this was number one. The large jars also last a really long time.***Make sure you trim the wick after each use and let it burn for at least an hour the first time you use it so it melts consistently and doesn' build walls up the side of the candle.

I love this fragrance. It has become my favorite and I have been stocking up little by little on the Pink Sands Scent. I have had my friends smell it and they absolutely love this scent too. I highly recommend this scent to anyone. I can smell it throughout my whole house while burning it. I have always loved Yankee Candles and these are the only brand I will only buy.
