Until a few days ago, I had no idea that a double-size tea light existed. Yes, I know I must have led a sheltered life ........ :)These were bought to use with a Yankee Candle wax melts burner. Initial impressions on first sight weren't too great, since most of the foil cups in the pack delivered to me are covered in flakes of candle wax, but each one used so far has wiped clean easily. The wicks are cut quite long and are easy to light after setting to a perpendicular rather than horizontal position. I've used about half a dozen so far and each one has burned cleanly - and burned - and burned - and burned. Average burn time has been 9+ hours, far in excess of the estimated 8 hours. These are not particularly "easy storage" as claimed on the sale page. At the moment I've got my bag of 50 inside the sturdiest supermarket plastic bag I could find and at some point I'll have to find some cupboard space. But I won't be removing the tea lights from the bags for storage purposes, thanks to the messy foil cups mentioned earlier. So, these tea lights can arrive a bit messy yet I've still awarded the full five stars. Why? That's easy. The burn time is incredibly long and each one used so far has burned cleanly, with a good flame, right to the end with no wasted/unused wax left at the bottom of the foil container. I consider them to be an absolute bargain and will be back to order more next month. I'm using one a day and it's so nice just to light one in the early afternoon and know it will keep going until bedtime!

I bought these specifically to use with a Yankee candle wax tart burner, a ceramic one.I had tried cheaper tealights but, they barely melted the wax and you got no aroma from them whatsoever.I like the strong spicy smelling ones and you SHOULD get a really strong hit quite quickly from them.NOTHING with cheap tealights. These burn for a long time, have enough strength to properly melt the wax tarts n the ceramic burner, and ensure that you get the aroma from them that they are designed to give out.Whilst there are many cheaper options out there, you definitely get what you pay for with these.I foten only burn them for 20 mins or so,and the house is full of a beautiful smell. They seem to last forever.I've included links to the burner and tarts that I mentioned below as they would form a great set as a present for someone.http://www.amazon.co.uk/Yankee-Candle-Petal-Burner--Green/dp/B003WMUR1A/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1356705909&sr=8-1http://www.amazon.co.uk/Festive-Mix-10-Wax-tarts/dp/B004UC4UCI/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1356705949&sr=8-2

Well, color me impressed. Weirdo in me actually put these against a timer during the day as the candle's burn while in my study at home. These actually lasted 8 hours when testing 4 of them, with 1 going over 9 hours! The candles themselves do arrive loose in a bag, so unlike IKEA's nice packaging which stack on above the other, these candles will have wax on the metal holder. Aside from that, they work as one would expect. They are filled to the very brim however, so for the first hour or so, nudging them will cause liquid wax to spill over the edge so just be careful while they burn down. Additionally, it goes without saying these tea light's are about twice as tall as a average tealight from IKEA or what have you,not an issue for most I expect, but just something to highlight. In all am impressed, does exactly what it says as a minimum when timed, can't complain

These nightlights claim to burn for 8 hours - and I found that they burned for longer! They are a reassuringly decent thickness; a complete contrast from the biscuit thin ones that are available in the shops that are less expensive, but also don't last anywhere near the burning time of these. The Prices candles didn't seem to give off any unpleasant odour whilst burning or after being extinguished. The only down side for me is the fact that they seemed to be quite expensive, but when I sat and worked out the cost - they really didn't appear to be much more expensive than any of the alternatives on the market. They certainly burn for much longer than the 'thin' ones (twice +) and give a good glow.Prices is such a well known traditional brand and to my mind, have always been the best.

The candles do the job and last a long time as a result of the ingredients and volume of the candle, so if it is longevity of burning that you are after as I was then these are for you. The manufacturer is more at fault of how they look though then the supplier but I suppose it leads down to how they stored and transported too. They arrive in a pretty poor state and some broken and wax pieces all over the aluminium cups and packet. This means unless you clean them before using you get the little pieces melting on the outside and then hardening on whatever surface you place them on or in making it hard to clean afterwards if needed.

The best candle of this type. Have tried various tea lights in the past and whilst you can buy some cheaper than these they are not good value for money as they do not last anywhere near as long. These light easily and have a steady flame and burn approximately 8 hours as they claim. Be careful if you have a burner which has liquid in the basin as many will dry out before the candle has burnt out. These are the third lot of candles I have bought as I was so impressed with the first ones. I still have lots left of my original order but at this price wanted to stock up. Would not consider buying others again it's a false economy.

Now I know it says 8 hour burn, but that is in optimal conditions, which most of us won't have.A naked candle in an environment with a breeze will last about 4 hours, a candle in a jar in an environment without any breeze will last up to 8 hours. For example, we had one under an oil diffuser, naked candle and there was a slight breeze from the kitchen (the flame was the giveaway otherwise you'd never know) and we'd get 4 hours. Put the candle in a glass jar and it gave around 6 hours, move the candle/jar combo so virtually no flame flicker and we had near enough 8 hours.

I bought these to use in my Yankee melt burner. When I used standard tea lights, they were gone so quickly - definitely didn't get 4 hours out of them. These are great. They are large and feel solid. They burn for such a long time. I can change my melts after they stop smelling before this burns out. For the price, they are amazing. The smaller cheaper tea lights are a waste of money.Because these are in a bag, you will notice that each time you pick one out the base is covered in flecks of wax which is a bit annoying as you get it all over your hands.

Prices candles are the top of the chain. You do get what you pay for with candles !! Some of the cheaper supermarket tea lights funnel, they burn a whole in the middle leaving an edge of wax, thus causing the teal light to go out faster. 4 hours burning ? yea right! These however is a different story, i clocked one candle at just under 8 hours of time, so literally theyre roughly correct !!They dont have a smell to them no, however if you want a tea light to burn for the right amount of time, these are the puppies for you !!Enjoy ...

I chose the full 5 stars because theses are absolutely fantastic!I'm super impressed with the quality and especially how long they last. No more having to get up and light another tea light that has died.I use these in my Yankee tart holder and it burns for hours and hours. Also use them in little colourful tea light holders and I just love how long they last! I can put them on in the afternoon and their still going strong in the evening.Would highly recommend. Also highly recommend the seller as they arrived the next day.

These candles last for quite a long time and are great value for money. Because they are deeper than typical candles, they are particularly good for oil burners where the dish is high above the candle holder part. (I have one small oil burner that is a bit too small for these candles because the flame actually touches the underside of the dish). They arrived in a bag that was not labelled as "prices", so I am not sure that I received the brand as stated. Nonetheless,I have been very happy with the quality of the candles.

These candles are brilliant. I wasn't sure if they could be as good as the reviews I had read. But they are. As has been said by others they burn with a lovely white glow and do last a long time. They carry on burning right to the end of the wick which is something cheap ones do not. They fit in the space of a tea light holder but last over twice as long if not more. I had them lit for well over 8 hours. The delivery speed isn't too bad either. I will be ordering more as I use a lot of candles.

Quite happy with these. And they do actually burn for 8 hours! I timed them. I have found with other brands that claim they are 8 hours, only burn for 5 hours if that. The wax does exceed the top of the tin, but this has not caused any dripping. I would use again, but a bit expensive for tea lights. But you get what you pay for in terms of quality and burn time. So probably more economical than buying cheap ones that don't burn for very long.

Bought all sorts of rubbish in the past but always come back to Prices. I use a 7 tea light holder. Flames are equal in height. They burn for 8 hrs as described. No irritating smoking which wrecks your decor. I reckon Prices secret is in the quality of the wick. I can remember as a young boy staying at my Great aunts farm where they had no electricity.....guess whose candles they used for lighting?.....no need to say anymore!

Bought on three for two offer before Christmas - Have used over 50 now - each candle has burned brightly for at least 8 hours. They have fitted all of our tea light holders with no problem. Lasting all evening I don't have to keep changing so they take the hassle out of changing half way through the evening. I have also re lit half used candles, they just carry on burning brightly. Ideal for a romantic evening.
