I'm converted. Never been a major fan of scented candles, but I fancied something new - and I was curious about the brand. Well, hands-down, this is lovely. First off, the scent is divine; sometimes these kinds of things can sound great, but deliver an 'almost but not quite' chemical equivalent. Not this Yankee Candle. Granted, I don't know what misty mountains smell like, but this has zero chemical tang, and isn't in any way overpowering. In fact, the most surprising thing was how soothing the scent was: after 20 or so minutes I became aware of how calm and relaxed, and at home, I felt - and that can only be down to the candle. Hadn't expected this effect,so it was a welcome experience.As for the price: the packaging says this will burn for between 65 and 75 hours, and I can believe that. I had this on for an evening, and it barely showed. So, in that respect, I'm of the conclusion this is really good value - so much so that I found myself thinking about which one I'd buy next (and for someone for whom scented candles don't figure, that's testament to how lovely this is).Feel I should point out that I had the jar on a cork coaster, checked it periodically and there was no real heat transfer. (Obviously I wouldn't take that as license to put it on a surface without a matt underneath.) Moreover, there was no dark smoke off the candle, which, again, points to how this isn't a jam-packed chemical product.

I have to say that I was a bit of a skeptic, having seen Yankee Candles, but never having tried them. To me it was 'it's a candle'? but even after a few hours, I can start to see that this is something simple, 'elegant' even, as there's something proper and homely about it.The packaging is familar, solid and of a generous size (having had a nose online, I can see that various other sizes are available).This 'Medium' jar is 411g (about that weight of a mid-sized bag of sugar), with the candle's burn-time around "65-75 hours".The lid makes a great seal, and comes in very handy for both moving it around (so you don't get any spills with pooled wax) and making doubly sure that the wick is out,once extinguished.The one thing that I would compliment on (I can't compare this to other Yankee Candles yet) is the smell is subtle, familiar, but not overpowering and certainly not 'clinical'. It certain fills the room with a fresh scent.I'll certainly be keeping a close eye on the longevity of this, but it's certainly a quality product and I'm actually quite impressed. I'll keep an eye out for the 'value for money' aspect, but may well put this on the list of things to get, once this one is done.

This is a little on the small side, for value for money I think the larger ones would be a better purchase, if you wanted to sample this one in particular there are smaller stand alone candles without the glass jar I think.While this is small, if you set it on an level surface, it does burn down very evenly and does not burn to the finish too quickly. The fragrance is not too strong prior to the candle being lit, it can not be detected when the lid is in place, the candle wick itself and the candle wax do not smoke a lot when lit or when extinguished.The fragrance is a pleasant fruit like fragrance, not too strong but it will fill up a room that the candle is placed in pretty quickly and is definitely distinct from others available from Yankee,easily detectable if you leave the room and return to it. My favourits in the Yankee range remain some of the red ones which are available around Christmas time which combine cinnamon, orange and seasonal smells such as that. This may have a calmative property or it may, as I think is more likely, just provide a sweet smell and maybe provide some mood lighting or a bit of ambiance. Recommended.

I've never experienced receiving a Yankee candle before and I have to say I was impressed.Firstly medium is a good hefty size and this came well packed in polystyrene.The jar had the wow factor as it is beautiful -the glass jar has the yankee signature embossed on the lid and the label is so pretty with a picture to represent the scent-in this case misty mountains.I loved the idea of misty mountains -it's part of their new travel range -and I was wary that although I loved the idea of the scent-I was concerned the pine and mint mentioned would smell like a cleaner -however it doesn't at all!It's a gorgeous evocative smell...a fresh scent...but delicate with layers in that it smells complex as nature does...I got that evocative scent and loved itBurn time states I think 64/65 hours... I know from TV selling I've watched that the burn time is only achieved when you regularly burn for 3 hours plus ...to do with the wax pooling well. You can buy wick trimmers too which could be helpful.You don't even need to light this to get the pleasure...admire it and get the scent..it's so strong you only need smell inside the lid.

The scent is *exactly* lemon and lavender. So - citrus clean, and relaxing. Medium strength scent - fills the air more than the Midnight Jasmine, but still not totally overpowering. It's quite good for fragrancing your home, if you're getting bored of the faint smell of cooking, say before you have visitors. (I don't like to use plug-in air fresheners because I don't like to breathe in artificial fragrance all day long, plus they have caused some fires in the past, not that candles haven't!). The small jar size means you only have to burn for an hour or two to get 'side-to-side' liquid wax, preventing the candle tunneling (see Yankee Candle website for 'candle care' tips).The medium jar has a minimum burn time of 4 hours if I remember rightly. These are good quality candles, but I still wish they were cheaper, so lose 1 star for extreme price for small jar, compared to better value medium and large jars (but longer burn time required, so burn up more candle per session).

I’ve only ever been up one misty mountain in my time, but I don’t recall it smelling like this. Granted that was in Port Talbot, where the smell of the steelworks and kebab houses seemed to impregnate everything, so for all I know this really could be Mynydd Dinas in a jar. I guess I’ll never know.This candle gives off a fresh ‘outdoor’ scent – nothing too heavy, but pleasant all the same. Quality ingredients ensure you get a scent with doesn’t offend the senses.For a Medium candle this is big, so you’re going to get a long burn time. Clive, who runs our local indoor bowls club claims he ordered the large version once and it actually came with two burly Polish men to install it in his house –now that’s what I call value for money.I enjoyed it so much that I’m just about to purchase two other candles in their range – Warm Woolen Mittens and Brown Paper Packages – I urge you to do the same.

Misty mountains is one of the nicest smelling Yankee Candle I have purchased - and my candle mountain is evidence that I buy a lot of candles. It smells wonderful in the jar and transfers that scent into the room as it burns. Perfect.Yankee Candles provide good value in their mid market position, with attractive lidded jars and pleasant fragrances, although I would urge doing some in-store sniffing before purchase where possible to check the smell is to your taste.For best burning experience, keep the wick trimmed to no more than 3mm and use a candle snuffer to extinguish as that helps prevent the wax going everywhere.This is an attractively scented candle, perfect for dinner table, lounge,bedroom and as a secret Santa/stocking. The lid helps keep the dust off between burnings although this one smells so nice it is unlikely to get a chance to accumulate dust in this house.

Purchased this product as a birthday present for my mother, along with the matching car scent. I paid £12 for this, which is an extremely competitive price given the fact that the same product would have cost me £20 on the high-street. The person this was intended for absolutely loves it-although doesn't use candles for their intended purpose as she prefers to have them 'for display'- and it really is at the pinnacle of quality from Yankee. The scent itself is aromatic and really distinct from most other brands; you really can tell that you're purchasing a Yankee Candle, which of course justifies a slightly premium-price. Jar is eloquent and the product itself has clearly been stored well,which isn't too common with a lot of products I buy which have clearly been stored in warehouses. Overall, a great buy, and the recipient of this is happy! Thank you!

I bought this for my daughter as she's a big Yankee Candles fan! There's always a Yankee burning somewhere in our house.This is the large Baby Powder jar. I would say that this is definitely one of my favourites and although the scent is subtle - it can fill the house if left downstairs with the fresh&clean fragrance of . . . Baby Powder!The burn time on these large jars is 110-150 hours. The upper limit is doable but the main thing you can do to help it achieve 150 hours is keep the wick trimmed down to 3mm! The longer the wick, the bigger the flame and it will burn the wax off quicker. Just keep the wick short and it will last longer.No issues with delivery or quality of the item and actuallycheaper than the Yankee shop here in Liverpool city centre!Lovely fragrance - good to go.

In my opinion the best fragranced candles I have ever had. The scent runs right through the candle to the last drop at the bottom of the glass jar. I have been using Yankee candles for several years and can't find any to compare.. I must say, that it is very important that you follow the guide lines on the minimum burn times each time you light your candle so that you don't get the tunnelling effect. The large candle must be burnt for 3 hours minimum, so that the candle wax/liquid is completely liquid right across the glass jar before extinguishing. The smaller jars/versions need less alight time, so decide which to burn according to your time. They have many fragrances to choose from depending on your mood.If you haven't tried Yankee , give it a try.

I love the fragrance of these candles, this candles were sent as a replacement as the ones that the courior delivered the previous day, disappeared before I got to the ground floor of my building, his note says he handed it to a resident, this time I got down in time but the quality of the Yankee box was terrible, it was all squashed and the sides wouldn't tuck under, so no good for the gift I thought I had purchased. After this I am hesitant to purchase candles again, I have in the past and all has been great, but this time, the courior left with someone, and the second time box to damaged, I haven't got the energy to send it back and re-order, I'll shop elsewhere, and get the same price,better quality delivery service ie courior.

Gorgeous smell. Soft, subtle and able to fill the whole room. Delicate and flowery with a very discreet vanilla background. Not too much that it's sickly or overpowering. Slightly citrusy, as well.Just a note about the seller: Ordered for my daughters birthday, just before Christmas but although tracking said it had been delivered, it failed to arrive. Contacted seller early evening, who had the courtesty to call me, and a replacement was with us the next day.Beautiful candle, smells wonderful and fantastic customer service. Highly recommended.

If you like floral/soapy smells, this is great. Personally I did not like the scent, so I gifted the remaining candle to someone that did. They liked it, so I'm not going to complain. As with all yankee candles, its a bit pricey, but you cannot complain given the great quality and the powerful scent from even just opening the lid. I will continue to regularly purchase new candles and hope to buy a bunch of smaller ones to find my favorite in the near future. I will review each and every one of them. Thanks @Yankee Candle for your amazing products.

I love this scent so much, I buy two every year and find it excellent for covering up cooking and dog smells in the house. It has a very sweet but fresh refreshing smell. As with most Yankee candles, this can be a bit smoky when first blown out. I find it best to put the lid on immediately after extinguishing. This, again as with most of these candles, has a tendency to burn more in the middle but I normally combat this but swirling the wax around the candle while it is cooling down and find this gives it more of a lifespan.
