I ordered this strawberry slicer as a direct replacement for the one I purchased locally in 2008; this had only recently started to show signs of wear and tear when one of the plastic tines on the underside of the slicer had snapped.Initially everything about this new strawberry slicer looked ok, but it’s plastic tines broke with its first use. Out of curiosity I weighed each of them, my original one weighs 70 grams and the new one only weighs 54 grams.The product quality is just not there.

The bllades may be sharp, as they say, but it is made with thin plastic inside the cutting basket, so each time you slice a strawberry, you are weakening the plastic and eventually, it will break. I guess I was lucky to get 3 uses out of mine before it broke.

Bought this to replace previous stainless steel one that the handle clip broke on. This one is in the bin used it twice it does not slice the pineapple just comes out all mangled up just like stewed apples. Messy job

Useful gadget, if you have a toddler who loves strawberries... but it needed an extra squeeze, it didn’t go straight through - I imagined it to be a much sleeker movement. It’s also not very easy to clean.

Great idea but not sturdy enough for most water melons. Disappointing but would cut a small very ripe melon possibly. I think I might recycle it as it is just taking up space in my kitchen uselessly.

The worst thing I ever bought on Amazon . Broken after the second strawberry sliced... This is a joke
