This was purchased to carry two electric mountain bikes, one large and one small. These together were the maximum weight the carrier was able to take. For large mountain bikes this carrier is just big enough. To secure the bikes it was necessary to swing the handle bars which requires the bike headstock to be loosened. The tyre width of the holders is just wide enough for a mountain grade tyre. The securing bars in later models of this carrier have been improved to give greater flexibility of adjustment, on this carrier they prove to be fiddly to adjust and use. Two people loading a bike makes it much easier. So the carrier is good value for money and fine for normal bikes, it is well made and strong,

This is a great item. Easy to attach and looks good also. The BIG bug bear I have with companies is the lack of description. I was so disappointing to find that the connector for the lights (13 pin) was different to that I had on the tow bar. Please please please make sure your customers get the full description when selling on line.08/09/2018Having used this on tour in France for over a week now. It is so easy to lift the bike on and off the Westfield tow bar mounted bike carrier. Would recommend to anyone.

WOW What a weight it is!After unpacking it and trying to read the instruction book { Black mark against that } very feint!I managed to work out how to unfold it and lock and unlock the tilt mechanism, to access the boot of the car!I have not fitted it to our car yet ,still waiting to have tow-bar fitted Westfalia of course !The Bike rack is a beautiful piece of engineering, Quality Built and Designed.Top marks all round will enjoy using it.

The Westfalia BC60 bike carrier is very strong, carries two bikes easily and very securely. There is no alarming wobbling of bikes while travelling and being mounted at the rear of the car, there is no noticeable increase in fuel consumption. The carrier is very easy to fit and remove from the tow bar. It folds up into an easily stored compact configuration when not in use. Superb German design and engineering.

I bought this for two big rides to go on. It’s turned out to be a big strong solid performer, sturdy as anything and more than capable of handling a couple of big monsters at the same time. This is not cheap by any means but you defo get what you pay for. Took it for a 300 mile round trip on its first outing and this compact little thing was begging for more. Not cheap but worth the money. 5 stars no problem

Unfortunately, the rack will not tilt due to a malfunction of locking pins.We wanted a replacement, which Amazon declined, indicating they couldn’t supply a replacement?To be fair, Amazon did offer us a refund, which we declined, because we required a ‘Westfalia Tow Bar Bike Rack’!I’ll now go to Westfalia Tow Bar Agent and see if they can help and or repair.Disappointed.

This is good for normal bikes, I have a cube which has a square frame and my husband a pinnacle. Frames completely different shapes!Take pictures after first time of putting bikes on rack as need them to assist in the future. Not as easy as it looks but once done, very solid and secure.

What a fantastic bit of kit. Super, super strong, hardly any movement when driving even with my rather heavy Pedelec bike on board.Would recommend to anyone who is after a super solid, well made cycle rack where price doesn't make or break your decision to buy.

Really good quality. Easy to fit on to a tow hook ball. Veey sturdy. Good value for money. Love the way the lights fold in to make it even more compact.

I bought this from Amazon warehouse as packaging was opened. Great value with discount. Travelled from Poland in a week and arrived in great condition.

Great piece of kit all I had to do was buy a adapter from 7 pin on car to 14 pin on cycle rack a part from that I can not find any other problems
