The liberty ships were a vital part in the Battle of the Atlantic, of course, but they are not common as model kits at this size. But this is an excellent kit - very detailed moulding, hardly any flash, lots of parts (including choice of full lower hull lower hull, or waterline plate) in plastic - no photo-etching - some decals. There is a dedicated PE kit for this model available on the web, but I reckon with some generic railings and ladders you'll be fine. I have not done this yet, and not the rigging either, but that is next!Good fit overall, but please take care with positioning the deck to the hull - I did it a bit too quickly and spent ages sanding, after. all other parts fit neatly,

a very nice little model of this important class of ship, very cleanly moulded, excellent instructions & potted history. the model can be built as either a waterline of full hull version. I visited the Jeremiah in 1993 & the kit matches very well the photo's i took at that time.

Highly detailed model of typical liberty ship. Some parts very small and fiddly. Parts break away from sprue quite well. Plastic glues well and parts fit without adjustment except light sanding.Very pleased.
