I am not the world’s best model kit builder, I’ve far too little patience ever to be, but I do love building kits and have been doing so long enough to realise a well-designed kit when I see one.Plastic kit design is an art in itself; to take a complex 3 dimensional object and plan and design and reduce it to small plastic parts from which anyone can then make an exact miniscule replica is truly a skill, and some are so cleverly engineered it almost takes ones breath away. This is one such, and no detail however miniscule (sigh) has been omitted.All Trumpeter manuals take the same form; superbly detailed drawings illustrating every point of a sometimes complex construction – and just as well,as written descriptions are kept to an absolute minimum, so the drawings, and every detail thereof, need to be studied intensely to avoid mistakes that will ruin a project.This kit is complicated, and not for the beginner, although having said that with patience and attention to detail anyone who has previously built a plastic kit should cope OK. There are no mistakes in the kit, everything goes together as it should, but one sometimes needs to study pages ahead to confirm the exact positioning or orientation of a specific part or parts.One is sometimes frustrated at miniscule parts that are intended to just fix to another miniscule part to make yet another miniscule part. They seem designed solely to annoy the kit builder and for no other good reason, especially when there are much bigger more complex parts that are moulded in one piece. However to dwell on such things is questioning to need to make models in the first place, and there lies the road to madness!In my own case some fiddly parts defeated me and/or my lack of patience contributed. For instance there are guide rails around the perimeter of the mortar carrier. Some snapped so rather than have unfinished railings I dispensed with them altogether. Similarly several of the divots that hold the actual gun carriage to the rail supports were lost across the room as they flirted out of my tweezers (an all too frequent occurrence), so I replaced all with stout wire (as close study will reveal).The manual could have been more detailed and more attention gone into certain processes, and, as ever, some photo-etched parts seem to have been included just for the sake of it.All in all though a superb finished product I am well pleased with, and that kept me occupied for many happy hours during lockdown.

Wow I got this model and I was very impressed with it it has got a lot of detail and it will take a lot of time to build very good quality and very impressive when built you will kneed to have a lot of room for it

excellent value for money. 1/35 scale but this thing is huge.great detail and would recommend.
