My SECOND Trumpeter E100 via Amazon. I'm not usually a '1946' kit builder &, frankly, find the "more authentic" turret as used in Dragon's molding too ugly to be bothered with. This design (courtesy, I believe, of Michael Rinaldi) is much more to my taste. All of what I said about my 1st Beast in my previous review stands. It really needs a metal barrel with rifling & the tracks could be better without having to resort to aftermarket add-ons, but you can get by using that which is included in the box.... I am SO tempted to lash out on a set of Fruilmodel (all Hail Fruilmodel) metal tracks, though I do have a couple of sets of Trumpeter hard-plastic aftermarket ones in my 'stash'....

Enjoyed every minute of the build. Excellent kit, lots of very crisp detail. No problems with fitting of parts and quite easy to put together.My only negative would be that some of the parts have quite a bit of flash that needs to be cleaned up, but maybe I'm just nit-picking.Overall a very interesting kit of one of the Third Reich's "Papar Panzers".

Excellent kit of the E-100 super heavy tank which never got made apart from the lower hull and wheel assembly prototype which was to replace Maus and would have been fitted with the Maus turret. As usual, top quality kit from Trumpeter
