I have a cocker spaniel aged one year, and a pup aged 6 months. Both of them were able to shred this to a heap of rubber bits and edible lumps withing a few short hours. Whilst they enjoyed it, I think that this would be better off for a dog who occasionally chews, has no wish to destroy toys or eat toys, and perhaps is either a new pupy or an elderly dog who needs a bit of tootchbrush work.Another negative is the smell of this toy when it has been used - the small nodules seem to collect....well... I won't go into it here, but you get the idea.... It IS washable, so if you are having this toy hanging around for a while (as I said, mine lasted mere hours)
