I live in Cyprus so the default weather expectation is sun. However it can rain so I like to keep spare umbrellas in the office and the car - and in my case when travelling abroad. When visiting rainier countries I also like to carry a 'just in case' umbrella if the forecast is uncertain. The Tote is ideal for that. However if I was going out somewhere if it was already raining or rain was definitely on the way, I would take something larger and heavier.

Just wanted a very light small umbrella to fit my bag and this fits the bill exactly.It keeps the rain off,is a smaller diameter than most umbrellas but if you want larger and heavier get a larger umbrella.I don't think it's going to stand up to heavy winds but it doesn't claim to either.I thought the quality of this umbrella is good and great for emergencies.

Totes Miniflat 5 Thin Plain Umbrella Blackthis is my third one of these; so far them them on the train, in a supermarket and the third one i have vowed to look after. This is the strongest, smallest umbrella I have ever owned. So small it fits in my back pocket. Love it!Amazon is also almost £5 cheaper than buying direct from Totes site :-)
