These fibers have absolutely changed my life.I have been using these for 4 years, and honestly can't imagine having lived without them since I started going bald.I found these on a youtube video and initially purchased them pretty sceptical about it. However, after application, and the fact I couldn't notice the different between the fibers and my own hair, I was instantly hooked. For the last 4 years I have maintained a full head of hair, every day, despite having now lost about 70% of coverage from the top of my head. I have, luckily, managed to keep a decent spread of thin hair across my head, which is essential for it to work, as Toppik cannot work where there is no hair at all, although there are a few exceptions**At the very corners of my hair, I have nothing left. Because these are only small areas, and are surrounded with hair on 3 other sides, the Toppik will hold, as long as it is not disturbed (so no hats, hoods, or scratching). This sounds like a massive pain in the backside, but you soon adapt and hardly notice the changes you're making to essentially maintain a great looking hairline.I have tried competitors - having used fibers for so long I can't be blamed for looking elsewhere. However, I always come back to Toppik - the quality of the fibers is unbeatable.A few tips - 1) definitely buy the spray applicator. It will give you better accuracy and a more convincing look. Sometimes the quality of the applicator isn't great, and this really lets Toppik down! But I've managed to get one on the third attempt that works perfectly.2) Buy the 12g size first to try it out. Buy it with the applicator. Once you try it, and love it, KEEP the empty 12g bottle. Move on to buying the larger bottles, and use these as refill packs. I still use my old 12g bottle, from years ago, as the actual applicator. It is the perfect size to grip and hold while you use it on your head. The larger bottles are more fidgity. I just pour the fibers from the larger bottles in to the 12g one.3) Only half fill the 12g one when filling it back up. The about of fibers released thereafter will be less intense and more realistic. If you use the container filled up to the top, you will give a thicker covering which sounds great in principle, but once you start using it you'll understand its actually better to use less, in a more controlled fashion to provide the more realistic look. Finally, have a look at the pictures. I AM now finally going for a transplant in a couple of weeks, as I have saved enough now to do this. But definitely, I know I'll still use this to thicken my new hair further post-op.I've attached pictures with and without. The results speak for themselves.

I'm 23, and very self-conscious when it comes to my hair (or lack-thereof). I was spending almost an hour in front of the mirror depressing myself by angling other mirrors to view the back of my head and seeing thinning which I felt I shouldn't be seeing at my age. It was a really bad experience so I decided to try and find something online that might be able to help.I came across Toppik by doing a quick Google search and, reading all the reviews, decided to give it a go. It was cheaper than alternatives so it was worth a shot. It arrived discreetly packaged and I was really skeptical - this couldn't be the fix, a little pot of coloured fibers? I went to the bathroom and liberally sprinkled it over my entire hair, run my hands through it and shook it up a little. Your hands get messy but it's pretty easy to get rid off, just wash it under a little warm water. Now for the moment of truth. I went to the nearest mirror and once again ran my fingers through my hair -- the results were remarkable. I angled another mirror to see the back of my head and, to my surprise, the same result was apparent there. My hair looked full again. This magical stuff doesn't just fill your hair out, it does it while looking completely natural. The important thing for most people looking at this product will be; "Will it all just fall out during rain or wind?" and the answer is no, not unless it's some hurricane or monsoon. Even if that is a concern for you, you can always spray on some hair spray to hold it in place a little firmer. The best part for me was the comments I received both at work and home. My colleagues said "Wow, your hair looks amazing!" and my Fiancee echoed those remarks -- a huge confidence booster for me. I know this sounds like I'm employed by Toppik, but I assure you I'm not. I'm just an advocate for a product that changed my life for the better and want to convert skeptics into just giving it one chance. You really won't be sorry.Pros:+ Cheap compared to others.+ Lasts a long time, a small pot can last about a month.+ Stays in your hair until washed.Cons:- Messy application.- Showers can also leave the bath a little messy as it all washes out.

You need some hair coverage for this to work. I'm female with androgenic alopecia,so I have hair but it is incredibly thin. This keratin powder is best dusted on the thin patches very sparingly.I tried 2 different 3g bottles for colour testing (dark and med brown). I actually got bested results from mixing them together.Part your hair into sections working from back to front, bottom to top. Once you've exposed the scalp, carefully tap some Toppik onto your hair/head. Then gently arrange your hair over the top, and repeat with the next section. Lots of youtube videos show a good technique. A little misting of hairspray keeps is in place. It thickens up what you have, but mostly covers up any white scalp from showing through. It can get on other things if you're too impatient, but the powder is dry and doesnt stain. It's like tiny tiny little fibres. I use a towel on my shoulders just in case.If you rub or scratch your scalp, it will appear on your hands! But if you leave it alone, then it stays in place just fine. I haven't seen it falling onto my clothes during the day.I tend to wear a hat in rain and high winds, but haven't noticed any clumping when my hat is off.Too much Toppik tends to cluster around follicles and look fake. So less is moreIt doesnt brush out, it has to be washed out. But I havent noticed any itching or irritation with this product. When under close scrutiny by family, they didnt notice the product until I really pointed out I was using a fibre powder. Since my family got a lot closer than the general public, I am certain it would withstand general scrutiny by strangers. This was a real confidence boost as I am simply not ready to go for wigs just yet!

I have been using Toppik for about a year now, maybe longer. I was sceptical at first like anyone would be, but as soon as I started using it my scalp visible areas were completely covered! I was totally amazed and now I'm hooked! I wont leave the house without it except for a very rainy day or days I am just sat at home.I'm 31 and my hair is quite fine and thin, and I only apply it to my crown area as this is beginning to lose hair. I use Regain foam every day, so after I shampoo I do Regain then say wait at least half hour or so before I use the Toppik. If I style my hair I would use Toppik as the very last thing. You don't need much, just sprinkle it over the balding areas and try to get a nice coverage.Just use a little bit then look in the mirror, use a comb (not a brush) and just comb it over with your natural hair, then if you need more apply some more Toppik. Build it up gradually. I only set it with hairspray if I am going on a night out. But on a everyday basis you can get away without hairspray. It washes out easily and try not to mess with your hair afterwards as you can a bit of it over your fingers and it would also ruin the coverage. I did have a slight problem with it when I was at the gym, and it came off all over the bench! Bit embarrassing but luckily no one noticed, but I have wore it to the gym other times and none of it came off so maybe I just applied too much that day.Anyway amazing product and I will definitely keep buying, it really boosts my confidence and my looks! Definitely recommend it.

I was considering surgery to strengthen my receding hair line - Been to see 3 different surgeons - However after those consultations, although they all recommended surgery, I still felt it was maybe a bit much. All the surgeons recommended medication which would strengthen remaining hairs and stop further hair loss, so I felt, at least for now, that course of action is enough. After doing some research on the air loss forums, I found a lot of chaps have found a happy balance with that medication and a camouflage product such as this. It isn't fake hair, it won't work on existing bald areas, But if you're thinning, say at the temples or crown, where you have hair but can see through to the scalp, this WILL help.. it does give the appearance of thicker, fuller hair. Ive only had it a couple of weeks, not sure how much I've used, but it seems pretty full still. It'll remain for a couple of days at least until you wash your hair. Doesn't leave any marks. It can be a tad dry/itchy but I would expect that to be honest. All round, I'm very happy with it and don't see any need to try a different product so far.. Ive used it with a generic hair spray to keep it all in place.. If you're like me and your hair was a daily concern, please do your research, it does help. The forums are great. Hope this helps

My rating is for the product, not the brand. There are cheaper ways to find the same product. This is a good product for people whose hair is thinning. It will not bring back receding hair and will look stupid if you try it. I have thinning hair on the front of my head, especially in summer and this really does make it look thicker. It takes a little bit of practice to learn not to coat your forehead with it. Put it on by separating your hair with a comb then comb through. It attaches to the scalp and colours it giving the appearance of thicker coverage. Then style to fix your hair in place. I always use spray so I believe that the spray also keeps the fibres attached to the scalp,I've no idea if without the spray they would unattach during a windy day or in the rain. I went on a waterslide and got really wet (without submerging my head) and the fibers did not move. Yet it comes off really easily washing hair normally in the shower. There must be a permanent alternative to putting this on every day such as tattooing which I am now going to investigate. I'm very happy with the product and I'm going to buy the cheaper alternatives next time. My advice would be to instantly go for the cheaper alternatives such as the refil packs and fill an old talcom powder tube. Very much cheaper than this.

As a 24 year old, you don't normally need to worry about things like thinning hair quite yet! So before going to the lengths of seeing specialists etc I thought I'd see what's about in terms of hair products.Bought some caffeine shampoo from Boots that was hardly cheap and didn't work...but I am a very persistent fella who does not give up on the first hurdle.I applied it and it worked right away! It even managed to withstand quite a windy and slightly rainy day, not so sure about if it was raining heavily but I reckon it would stand a good chance. (excuse the bad lighting in the before/afters but it does work!)Finally, I was surprised about the 'powder'coming in a pocket sized container so this would be perfect for carrying around day to day, or for those who travel. The power leaves a slight residue on your fingers but this washes off easily, I just add this to affected area when hair is drying and my girlfriend has noticed a huge difference. Also you don't need to use a huge amount so seems like it'll last ages. I have not needed to 'top up' either. Next time I will be sure to order in the right hair colour!Thank you for creating a very affordable and effective product, I will order again and recommend.Seb B.

First of all I'm female and however awful it is for men to have thin hair, it's even worst for a woman as femininity and hair are so much part of the female psyche. Last year I began to thin on the crown and despite taking vitamins which did help, I was still very conscious of the fact that the hair on the top of my head was not very plentiful. I didn't realise a product like this existed until I came across it when browsing on the internet. I decided to try it out as on the Toppik website there is lots of customer feedback. I also saw how it worked on a You Tube video and it seemed too good to be true. But 13.95 seemed a small price to pay for something that promised a miracle, so I sent away for some.Anyway it arrived today and I immediately tried it out and it works so well. The hair on my crown is now full and you'd never dream that in fact it is very thin and that in certain lights you can see my scalp through my hair when not using this product. The product is very easy to use and I didn't need very much so though it's a small container it will last for ages. Please do try it if you have thin hair whether you're female or male, it certainly has made me feel so much more confident and attractive.

This is really great product - and I have been happily using it for 4 months now ( this is my 3rd reorder :) )1.People are crazy ! - I allowed my pal to try this on his head - he had it on his nose , shirt , forehead and everywhere - with great big lump on the top of the head. - front hairline looked like this one of Mickey Mouse. So please take negative reviews with a bit of ...... . :D2. Product works as it should , but you will need a little practice to gain skill - first time may look bad , but as you go 2nd, 3rd times will look like in an advertisement.3.Key thing is to work your front hairline - you can easily make it look bad and to be honest Toppik stencil can make it look even worse .....I used just £1 brush to destroy sharp lines ( its literally a 2 seconds job, and with bit of practice now I can do it without aid.4.It holds FOREVER - rain , wind, cycling (in helmet ) , running , sweating - all GOOD ! Just use locking spray - its a must to have one.5.You will need "some" hair as a base - it won't work on shiny bald skin - only create an effect of ash dipped head :) So its not to use when u bald, but with thin hair. Those fibres attach to hair not skin!6.ITS FREAKING AMAZING !

Good value compared to other brands. It is a bit like coloured talc to be fair on appearance, but if applied correctly it does the job. It gives the illusion of thicker hair for sure. The downside is you can't really cover those bald temple areas, which I am sure most of us want to target, other than bald patches. You can see it too if apply right near the front of the forehead at the base of the hair. Definitely needs other hairs to cling to so don't expect thick looking hair if really bald.It can look a little like a stain on your head too if you buy the wrong shade. I bought the dark brown when really should have tried the medium. However, there is no doubt is gives the impression of thicker hair as it cleverly conceals shiny scalp areas that reflect light normally. Give it a go, but use it more for special occasions. I recommend 2 mirrors if applying to the back of your head and if possible ask a partner or friend to do bald patches as can be tricky if not applied just right. You don't want to have a coloured stain and a little bit of bald patch showing just near that as it can ruin the illusion. Overall worth a go and a cheap alternative to hair transplants. A good confidence booster.

I bought Toppik after searching the net for a product to help thicken my fine hair but still look natural. I read quite a few reviews on Amazon and other hair loss/alopecia sites. However, I remained sceptical. I have often found, what works for others, never seems to offer me the same results. But, after using Toppik for around a month, I have to say,'it works really well'!! Another excellent benefit is it's almost invisible in my hair (my hair is medium fine in some areas and very fine in others ) I'm already hooked!I would like to offer some advice to other prospective users. I dye my hair around every 3weeks or so. Toppik contains natural keratin fibres but, it also contains some chemicals.I would recommend you wash your hair of the product before applying any further chemicals to your scalp. Once I wash off my hair dye, I re apply Toppik . It is also important to gently rub your scalp after you apply Toppik. This ensures adhesion and reduces the possibility of any tell tale little dots of the product showing on your scalp. I haven't bought the hairspray recommended. My own hairspray works perfectly and is a lot cheaper.

REASON FOR PURCHASEI have male pattern baldness at the top of my head which was making me feel very self concious. Tried minoxidil but didn't really notice any effects after sustained use for a year. After seeing a few videos Toppik online I decided to give it a go, half expecting it to work.PRODUCTTo my amazement this product actually works. Sprinkle the fine fibre over the area in affected immediately it covers the baldness. It works by sticking to the existing (thining) hair and adds volume.FURTHER NOTEPlease note that for this product to fully work and stick, you will need to buy the Toppik fibre hold spray (or equivalent)otherwise the fibres will just fall out (this is not mentioned in the product description).VERDICTBy using the two products together the result is amazing and does the job! On the touch It feels like you have just used hair spray. It will not blow off in wind. It will not run in light rain, although on drying it will firm up again. Does not rub off whilst in bed. Lasts up to 2/3 days depending on how often you wash your hair.Confidence back... will use again, and would highly reccomend.

I'm amazed at just how much of a difference this stuff makes to the appearance of thinning hair. At first I was skeptical as it was like I was just shaking pepper onto my scalp, but despite applying the fibres pretty sparingly, after tapping them down to settle them, my hair looked very thick for the first time in years. I even managed to make my receding hairline (yeah I know, I sound so sexy don't I?) look much better by applying some there, although you have to be careful here to avoid making it look obvious and ending up with a hairline like Action Man or a Ken doll.On the container it says you can just style your hair normally after applying, but as I normally use that VO5 paste/gel type stuff I did notice a lot of the fibres seemed to get stuck to my fingers, however it didn't seem to make any difference to the overall appearance. I finished it off with a quick spray of hairspray and Bob was my uncle, Fanny was my aunt. I was ready to moonwalk into the club and wow the ladies with my normal looking head of hair. "Look how normal my hair looks now" I felt like shouting. "I'm not bald. You're bald".

I have read others reviews and feel I should write one. I have spent an enormous amount of money on different products for my thinning hair.I first tried Toppik around six or seven months ago. I can truthfully say I would financially be a lot better off if I knew about Toppik two years ago.I use it after I have blown dry my hair. I put the fibres on at the wrong side, pat it on and finish styling my hair with the dryer set at lowest speed and heat in the right direction.I have read others find it makes a mess, I haven,t experienced that. I use it every second day. I have just finished my first 50g light brown one and had a new one delivered yesterday.Others have said they do not know how much is left,I found this surprising as you can screw it open at the top. It lasts for ages.I have also read you can see hair thinning in photographs "not in my experience" and it comes off in rain and wind, again, not in my experience.I cannot recommend this highly enough. Purchase a shade lighter, I guarantee you will think of this review and wish you had made your purchase much sooner.

I had absolutely no hope for this product when I bought it, but given it was so cheap I gave it a go (only got the small tub). I have been using it now for the past five days since it arrived and am absolutely delighted with the results. I am not bald but my hairline has receded drastically in the temple area over the past two years to the extent where my friends make fun of me about it. I have some hair in the temple area which I push forward, but it's clear I'm balding. However since putting Toppik on this very thin hair I don't look to be receding much at all. It has completely covered up where I'm thinning and it looks exactly like hair. I keep checking my hair during the day as I've developed a real complex about my hairline, and even when I look in the mirror up close I cannot see the difference between the fibres and my actual hair. It has stayed in all day too and I have had no issue with the colour running despite the temperature this past week being very high.In summary I am very happy with this product and have got a lot of my confidence back! :)
