After being underwhelmed by the results of the L'Oreal Intense Ombres kit [my fault for accidentally buying the strongest one], I decided to work with the new bleach in my hair rather then cover it back up by finally trying a shade of intense pink hair dye over it...Renbow says that the Crazy Color range lasts between 4 to 8 washes, and for the low price [RRP £4 per 100ml pre-mixed bottle] I thought that you can't really complain with that. I choose the shade Cyclamen as it has the best of three worlds; it a hint of red and purple at first, with a strong undertone of pink. The scattered customer reviews on Amazon UK stated that the pink undertone is meant to grow stronger as the dye fades._Ididn't pay much attention to the guide on the bottle as my hair is really thick so 15 minutes developing time seemed totally wrong for me, so instead I applied the dye into my freshly washed and still damp hair with gloved hands, starting at the roots, and remembered that when I previously used a semi-permanent dye it advised placing a plastic cap over my head to lock in heat, to help the pigments develop. So I improvised and paced a carrier bag over my hair. I have thick hair so decided to leave the dye on my hair for an hour to let it really sink in [it's vegetable dye so you won't damage your hair], and I then rinsed my hair until water ran clear, but didn't use shampoo, conditioner, or any other products on my hair.I also remember a magazine article where a hairstylist who works in TV said to leave your hair for 48 hours after being dyed, before washing it again. So that's something I always do now._The resulting pink/purple shade was really vivid on the blonde sections of my hair and gave the light brown [dyed] sections a strong purple tint. The brown sections started to noticeably fade away after 4 washes, but the blonde sections of my hair remained vivid after the red and purple undertones faded and left the bright pink in my hair.I ended up getting over a month's wear out of the colour - I pinpointed the wear at 11 washes before the shade faded enough to need refreshing. It took another half dozen or so washes to totally remove the colour from my hair. Considering the low price of this dye I was delighted with how well it lasted.I know, from having tried a La Riche Directions dye in the past, that vegetable hair colourants stain skin - I myself had a purple forehead [plus shoulders and boobs from using the shower to rinse the dye from my hair] for three days after application, no matter how much I scrubbed my skin. I was put of trying a similar dye again, but now that I've taken the plunge I can confirm that the Crazy Color dye doesn't stain as badly - it will wash straight off skin with warm water and soap.Another plus point with this dye is that when I was caught out in the rain the colour didn't run - last time the rain caused the dye to run and stain my skin again & ruin my top...

Wow... I’ve tried pretty much all the semi permanent colours in my years of home dyeing and never used crazy color because of the hit and miss reviews. Thanks to lockdown I thought..”nothing ventured.” and took the plunge opting to buy Cyclamen and Hot Purple and go for a two tone effect. My hair was bleached in January and I never quite got the level I wanted for silver hair so I opted for a stone grey and I’ve slowly allowed it to wash out of my hair since I had no access to a real hairdresser.10 months on I now have natural hair for about the first 4 inches and the hair rest a mixture of light and dark blonde with the odd grey/ashy bit thrown in for good measure.I washed my hair with a nonsilicon/paraben/sulfate etc shampoo to ensure there was no reason for my hair not to accept the colour deposit.I towel dried, de tangled and got to work. Luckily because I’m a hair dye enthusiast o have plenty of gloves, I cannot stress how much you need a good pair of tight fitting gloves! I opted for loose fitting generic gloves ..oops... it’s taken 24hrs and a lot of hand cleaning to get the dye off my skin and nails! This stuff colours everything it touches so if you have a pristine white bathroom be prepared for the horror movie remake this Cyclamen colour produces!I applied the colour directly from the bottle into a big splodge in my hand and rubbed it around my hands before applying to my hair. I paid a little more attention to my hair underneath as it was a darker blonde and I wasn’t expecting it to take well, I rubbed the rest in like I would a shampoo.I didn’t pay as much attention as I should of to my natural hair and so the hot purple I put on my roots hasn’t taken well... my fault as I didn’t put the effort in to ensure coverage, so now I have darker hair but only streaks of hot purple. Fortunately I didn’t use all of the bottle so I can go again in my next wash.I waited 30 minutes and then rinsed... the amount of colour you see rinse out makes you convinced it’s all going straight down the plug hole but fear not, it has left some in your hair!I had a good giggle at myself for literally colouring my neck, ears, hands, arms in dye, even when rinsing out if this comes into contact with you, you will resemble a ribena berry for a short time!I have enough left in the bottles for another application but I’m going to mix it with a small amount of conditioner to make it go further and ensure full coverage. As you can see from my photos the cyclamen has gone on brilliantly, really vibrant and even on the darker blonde I have colour, it’s just not as bright. Will definitely use this product again!P.S I did the patch test 24hrs before, use a cotton bud stick or something to apply it, you don’t want to end up smudging the colour all over you.

I've never ever used crazy colour dye before. I tried the canary yellow around 2 weeks ago and the formula is great, works really well. I wanted to change things up though which is why I got the semi permanent black. I've had green hair for over a year and I'm constantly wanting to add other colours with it because just green feels so plain. I didn't like the yellow too much and decided to do half green and half black this week. I've never had black hair because I'm actually allergic to black henna tattoos and whenever I've patch tested black dyes, I have gotten reactions to them but no other colour. Patch tested the black and it was fine so i used it but still took precautions. To my surprise, there was no reaction! It did make my hair feel a bit stiff after using it like all the oils got stripped from my hair but the emerald green I used for the other side felt smooth, soft and silky. I used to always use la riche directions but have found the colour slips from my hair in an instant because the porosity of my hair is so bad it doesn't even take to permanent dye. I haven't washed my hair since I only dyed it yesterday but it has definitely rubbed off onto my pillows and wall that I lean against. I'm really happy with this brand of dye and might use it more often because the colours are so vibrant and are WAY better for me than la riche directions and those harmful box dyes. The only thing I had to do differently was add a small dot of the black to the emerald green because apparently it comes out more neon and I wanted the blue from the black to make it a bit more 'pine green'. All in all, I'm impressed and will be buying from this brand more often. (UPDATE) the black definitely has faded which is perfect! I wasnt sure if I was committed to the black so I'm glad it had faded. The black did cover my green hair too. All in all, I love these hair dyes!

I have been using crazy colour on and off for about 3 years. Aways on bleached hair that had had a few washes and settled before applying colour. I Also waited for 99% of each colour to wash out before trying a new one. I apply to dry hair with a brush and leave for at least 3 hours either clingfilmed or under a shower cap. It has always taken a bottle and a half for my hair length in picture.Lilac- okay so admittedly this was my first go but yes my hair turned bright blue and the coverage wasn't great but that's probably my super amateurish application.Lilac and lavender mix- this was to use up the rest of the lilac I had and although it did add more of a pink tinge to my hair that washed outquicker than the blue.Lavender- This started as a pinkish purple then faded to a light pink colour then to white taking all the brassy yellow tones out of my bleached hair forever.Silver- it added a bit of a grey blue tinge to my at this point very white hair but did add a bit of extra shimmer.Hot purple- I found this to be a more bluey dark purple that faded again into a blue rather than pink.Hot purple, lavender and silver mix- this is the colour in the photo after one wash, I was looking for a faded purple grey colour and think I sort of archived that, the lavender added more pink to balance the blue and silver gave it a pastel shimmery feel.Overall I've never truly had a problem with crazy colour but it takes a lot of working it into your hair and a lot of patience. I hope this helps some people who haven't a lot of experience with this, a lot of reviews are negative and I wanted to throw in my good experience too.

I used this product in the summer and only just got around to reviewing it.I already had fairly light hair after bleaching it previously so this colour took to my hair amazingly well. I applied it to all of my hair in sections using a tint brush and bowl. My first thoughts were that it smells very jelly-like. (Not a bad thing). My second thoughts were, "There's loads in this bottle!" I have hair about 3-4 inches below my shoulders and medium thickness and used around half-three quarters of the bottle, the consistency is quite thin but not thin enough to drip everywhere.Putting it on my hair, it was very vibrant. I left it on for an hour and rinsed with cold water and applied a deep conditioner. When I dried my hair, it was bright red. ([...] Sorry about it being a Facebook photo! The colour lasted a good while (Around 3 weeks washing every other day) before it faded to a light pinky-orangey colour.I then decided I wanted darker hair and dyed over it in light brown with no issues there. This dye isn't full of chemicals like other dyes so it didn't dry my hair out and found it to be very moisturising. I still have quite a bit left, which can be saved for up to 12 months so I might apply streaks or dip dye when I go on another hair-dye craze.Overall, great product, easy to apply and lasts a long time compared to other red dyes. The biggest down point is that the dye stains very badly, even when just washing your hair, the grouting in the bathroom gets stained pink. My bath and towels also have a pink tinge to them now which I'm not too happy about.

This colour starts out light, so tends to fade quickly. Always wash out ALL hair products including conditioner before applying colour. Do NOT use heavy shampoos like Head&Shoulders before applying! They contain waxy substances and will repel the colour! Do NOT use ANY conditioner BEFORE colouring for this same reason. To keep your colour bright & beautiful, don't use too much shampoo when you wash it! You only need about a pea-sized amount... focus on the front/top of your head and around your hairline at your face.... Then rinse through the ends. Swap every other shampooing with just a good cool water rinse + conditioner + rinse. Use the coldest water you can comfortably stand to keep it super shiny and bright!Do NOT use high heat on hairdryers or flat irons. This will fade and dull this colour very quickly! Keep styling products to a minimum and focus on conditioning products. Light hair oils really help bring out colour and keep the ends looking healthy and shiny. You can also use a tiny bit of light olive oil on the ends, but this may weigh down fine hair... use very sparingly on ends only and do not apply directly to your scalp. When I use lighter colours such as Bubblegum Blue or Candyfloss Pink, I start colouring my hair in the morning or afternoon, put a carrier bag around my hair, wrap that in a towel, and keep it on as long as I can stand it... ALWAYS at least 1-2 hours and sometimes up to 5 hours. The longer you leave it in to start, the longer the colour will stay.I hope this helps! :)

I have tried this dye on both bleached and unbleached hair with dramatic differences in the length of vivid colour. On unbleached hair (mine is mid brown) the initial brightness of the dye is surprisingly good but it really doesn't last longer than 6-7 washes. On bleached hair - you are not going to go missing in a crowd its that bright - but it lasts a good while longer, fading to pink eventually. Its pretty easy to apply *if* you remember to cover your face, neck, ears and skin in some sort of barrier cream like a heavy moisturizers or petroleum jelly. There really isn't a lot that gets this stuff off your skin quickly and its as bright on your face as it is on your hair.Similarly - if youbuy this item go buy a whole loads of gloves and towels and bedlinen that matches the colour of the dye. It comes off on everything to begin with but this stops after a couple of washes (i wouldn't advise washing your hair while in the shower unless you fancy you entire body matching the dye)On the whole its a fab product, i've been using this dye for 4 years after experimenting with a variety of other brands - none of which are as vivid as this. It takes some getting used to and adaptations to your ablutions but i guess small sacrifices are worth it :)Its easy to apply, no mixing and doesn't smell offensive and if you forget to rinse it off for a while no damage is done as its all vegetable based and I've never perceived it to have damaged my hair in any way!

I love Crazy Color and I've been using it for years! I have seen a lot of the comments and its a shame to see that around half are negative saying that the colour isn't true or that it didn't work at all. Now, the thing is Crazy Colour works best on bleached hair. If your hair is not bleached well enough or it is dark, it's likely that the colour will not be what you expected. And a lot of people will not want to bleach their hair due to damage, and yes bleaching your hair isn't the best in terms of keeping your hair healthy but if you take care of it by using treatments and conditioning well it's not all that bad :)And I remember seeing a comment about a certain dye turning the person's hair grey, this has never happened to me and I have used a lot of colours from the lighter ones to the dark ones. This has to be the result of not leaving it in long enough. I always leave it in for as long as I can, but usually around 2 hours. Crazy Color is a creme and it conditions hair so don't be too worried about it harming your hair too much. However if you do feel any burning or irritation from leaving it in too long, please wash it out as soon as possible!Don't judge it from one use, the first time I used Crazy Color I only left it in for 40 minutes and I was a little disappointed with the colour, but if you want the brightest colour possible, bleach your hair and again LEAVE IT IN FOR AS LONG AS YOU CAN! You will not be disappointed with the results!

Crazy Color semi permanent hair dye in Pinkissimo is a ready-mixed vegetable dye, that Renbow says lasts between 4 to 8 washes, and for the low price I thought that you can't really complain with that.My hair is really thick so 15 minutes developing time (the guide on the bottle) is totally wrong for me; I left the dye on my hair for an hour to let it really sink in [it's vegetable dye so you won't damage your hair], and I then rinsed my hair until the water ran clear, but didn't use shampoo, conditioner, or any other products on my hair for two washes after the first rinse._Pinkissimo comes out just like the swatch on my bleached blonde hair and fades evenly to an almost-pastel shade. It just about made it to eight washes before fading enough to need recolouring, so all's good as it fits into the bottle's guideline.Maybe I'm being too strict with my removal of a star, but I can't help comparing Pinkissimo to Crazy Color's Cyclamen shade; it's initially a bit darker and tinged with hints of purple, but that means it lasts a lot longer - almost two months on me - and does gradually lighten into a similar shade as Pinkissimo.I'll still get this shade again as it does have a electric undertone to it for a while, which Cyclamen lacks._My hair is a few inches past my shoulders and is thick/coarse, and I use 1 1/2 bottles per full-head application.

I chose this dye because I was running out of my current colour. From the hair swatch images on my previous one and this one - they looked similar and this was 1/3 of the price. This colour sticks VERY fast and is very bright - I had mine on for 10 minutes and it went almost to it's full strength! (I think, not going that long I wouldn't know)This is great for anyone who wants to achieve a shocking-pink colour, couldn't recommend it enough for that, but for me it didn't work to my expectations. It was quite patchy, especially because I didn't have the time-frame to put it in even as it works so fast.I wanted more of a candyfloss pink like my other dye produced.I shall try this again but maybe dilute it with conditioner and reply back with additional comments.EDIT: To achieve the soft pink I wanted I used 1:1:1 conditioner:shampoo:dye and applied it like a shampoo and left it in while I showered, then washed out before getting out. It didn't stay in more than 2 washes but for the amount that I used, I can keep doing it for ages before I run out.My hairdresser used this on me recently and put it in with just conditioner and it went to the full on vibrant pink (yikes) after a few washes (including keeping shampoo in for 5 minutes or more) the pink is still very bright. Good for some - not for me, haha.Hope my long review is helpful to some.

So how much colour can we expect from a non permanent non mix hair dye... and how long would the colour last? Well like all bright colours if u want a noticeable difference on dark hair (light brown or darker) then u will need to prelighten it first. I've gone down that route many times and I have no interest in doing it again so I used it on my mid brown hair and hoped for a burgundy hint. The first time I used foils and did proper streaks, left it on for half hour and washed it off, the result was a hardly noticeable and imo not worth it. The next time I applied a full head application, left it on for half hour and the result is pretty good, defo a purplish hint. Three days later (today)I got caught in a massive rain shower and was thoroughly soaked, when I got home I looked for the usual streaks of colour running down my face or stains on my clothes and there weren't any. Really impressed with that, as with previous brands the dye has looked like blood streaming down my face. Another good point is that because u don't need to mix it u can keep whatever is left over for the next application, I get two uses per bottle. There is no conditioner included so I just use my regular one afterwards. I expect this colour to last maybe three weeks but that depends on how often I wash it. I'll use this product again.

Anyway, my hair is dyed blonde rather than bleached for the lightening stage, for less damage.I was a dark brown haired woman previously but I haven't had my natural hair colour in years.I've had my hair every colour in the rainbow, some with ease, some with great difficulty. For all these colours I've jumped all over brands.Directions, Stargazer being main known ones.I thought Stargazer was great because the red was so vivid, but it would fade in two weeks. That was expected, red is horribly difficult to keep. But Crazy Color, for many different colours, are my absolute favourite. They last much longer than any other dye.The colour comes out as it is on the bottle shade. It's MUCH cheaper than most.Simple instructions, fast and effective. It's messy but all dye is?If you're a wannabe redhead go for this stuff rather than permanent Live XXL crap or anything. That never comes out how it is on the bottle, even with bleached hair.It never lasts. It's more expensive.Truth be told EVEN when I had my hair dyed red professionally, it faded after ONE wash. A waste of money! The only thing wrong with this product to me, is that it says lasts about 4-8 washes, because it barely even fades to me at that point!

I didn't want to bleach my hair and so applied it simply as a dip dye on medium brown hair. Easy to apply and I've managed to redye it three times despite having very thick hair. So messy though! However after 2 washes it stops staining everything it touches.Despite using it on unbleached, relatively dark hair, it actually turned out very nice indeed! Whilst not that obvious in low light, when outside or with bright lights it's quite vibrant! However, it is obviously not the aubergine colour it shows but it forms a very nice dark/bright red with purple tints, especially if you put more dye on than perhaps you think necessary. I received many, many lovely compliments about it - quite a few from strangers who noticed it even from a distance. The only reason why I don't give it 5 stars is how quickly it washes out, even though I wasn't expecting it to last long because of it being 1) semi-permanent and 2) on unbleached hair. After one wash, quite a lot of colour goes out and after the second wash it's turned a more reddy-ginger colour - perfectly nice for dip dye, but not sure whether I'd like it if I was dying a full head. Still I managed around 3 weeks (3 washes) of noticeable colour.Recommended.

This is a great product for the price, quick delivery and nice colour to, tho it fades quite quickly, better for use on lighter hair, however when my mum was putting the dye into my hair, I was thinking that the colour looked a bit funny and it was stinking, it was like a rat down a loo, or something out of I'm a celebrity get me out of here, the dye was going well and I still had loads left over, and then suddenly my scalp was on fire literally, my mum had to go and get the fire blanket, then as that did not work she then stuck my head down the toilet, which thank goodness was clean water, or that could have got messy, so I then washed and dried my hair and the colour was awesome possum,it was so bright it was like looking at the different colours of the rainbow literally, however when I woke up in the middle of the night to go to the pub for my pint of Guinness, I was getting some funny looks, so I went to go check ma face out and oh my, I looked like a fruit cocktail, no wonder they were calling me the human starburst, the dye had turned my whole skin purple, and not just my hair, even low I am still purple and look like a plum literally, I still think this product is worth buying, if u dare. :)

Crazy Colour is my go-to dye when I want a bright colour... I've been using it for well over 10 years. It is advertised as temporary, which means it's permanent but fades over time, like all vibrant hair dye. It works best over bleached hair which is more porous and light enough for it to stand out. I would not recommend if your hair is dark and has not been bleached.Pros: conditions lightened hair. Smells lovely. Very pigmented. Short processing time. Enough in one one bottle to do an entire pixie cut with a bit left over. Washes off hands easily with baby oil and exfoliation. Easy to apply from bottle. Trusted brand. Great value. Colours true to sample if applied on hair bleached to very pale blonde.Shade Cyclamen covers orange hair well if you can only lighten a few shades.Cons: If you get this on any clothes or surfaces while you're dyeing it will not wash out. Use an old towel every time you wash your hair or it will stain. Long hair can cause dye marks on your face if you lie on your hair. Ruins pillows but what she doesn't? Sometimes it will seem like you used it all but if you stand the bottle upside down for 5 mins you can get a lot more out.
