I’ve used these products so much I feel like I should be a spokesperson. I have bleached hair (three times at a salon, so it went from normal Asian black hair to very light blonde) and have been using different Colorista products for the last year (yolo). For all colours, I left it on twice as long as the instructions state, and I wash my hair every night.Purple: Starts off very vibrant, goes pastel and lasts for around a week before it fades out completely. The pastel is very nice while it’s fading out. The results were better than when I tried to get purple done at a proper salon.Lilac: Shows up very very light, and then when it washes out it goes a light turquoise - which I read about in these reviews and wasn’t averse to it.The turquoise faded out after a week or so, but not completely back to the original blonde. I think of all the colours I was least impressed with this one, just because it didn’t last long at all.Turquoise: After the lilac left that blue/green tinge, I just went all in. Very very bright, looks fantastic and just like the colour on the box for around 1.5 weeks and fades out to a mermaid-y green, got a lot of positive feedback. Ended up doing this colour again after I could see the blonde start showing through.Indigo: This is a dark colour, but they label it as Pastel so that tells you the resilience of the dye… it turned out a nice purple and blue, but faded out very quickly after a couple of washes and faded back to the light blue/green that’s pretty much my base colour now.Denim: Saw this was new at Superdrug so picked this up and the dark green. Very impressed with how long the colour lasted, it was Marge Simpson blue for almost two weeks and then fades out to the Turquoise product colour. Just a note that this colour took a long time to rinse out when I was doing the dye, the water just never really went proper clear and could still feel the residue, but I gave up after like 40 minutes squatting over the tub. After all this experimenting, my hair is not as dry as you’d expect - my friends usually touch my hair to check. All in all, very happy with this line… as long as you know what’s going to happen with that green tint after the Lilac, it’s all good!

The Colorista range from L'oreal Paris offers a range of semi-permanent hair dye colours which wash out over several shampoos. Just a tip. Not all colours can be used on all hair types and what colour is best suited will be determined by your own hair colour. The front of the box will tell you if the colour is suitable for you.Pastel Dye Colours - These are lighter shades of hair dyes and are only suitable for use on blonde hair or pre lightened hair.Vivid Dye Colours - These shades are deep and strong enough to be used on all hair types.Included in Hair Dye BoxTube of Hair DyePair of GlovesInstructions. The instructions inside are very easy to understand with pictures and guidance at each on how to apply the hair dye to create a full head look,Ombre look or Highlights look. It's very easy, once I had brushed and got my hair ready, wearing the gloves, I simply squeeze the hair dye directly into my hand and massaged it into the ends of my hair, adding extra dye to ensure my hair was saturated so colour would come out good. What I discovered is that this colour hair dye also acts as a hair mask conditioner - so don't worry your hair won't get all tangled.I then left the hair dye in for recommended timePastel Colours- 15 - 20 minVivid Colours - 25-30 minAfter this I simply rinsed the colour out of my hair and then dried and styled it. The result was impressive, fabulous vibrant colour and my hair looked really cool and felt super soft. What I really like about these dyes is the ability to inexpensively create multiple looks and styles which is so on trend and that I'm not committed to any one colour or style for too long. These hair dyes are great fun to use and excellent value for money.Love it Love it Love it!

I had some concerns about how the Turquoise would come out on my hair after looking at the reviews after I ordered, but stuck with my decision and was very pleasantly surprised! My natural colour is dark blonde/light brown and the colour came out really nicely (without using bleach!), more forest/sea green than bluey turquoise but looks really nice!Probably wouldn't recommend for hair much darker/ash undertones however as you might not get as much colour payoff without bleaching (most of the reviews I watched were hair shades darker and although some came out alright there seemed to be a risk of not much showing/swampy green colour) With lighter hair you might get staining,I might yet as I still don't know how this dye will wash out. This being said I also have short hair so could use more dye on sections and having experience with the Colorista Orange hair left the dye on for around 45-50 mins for more vibrancy which I recommend. If you have long hair, get more than one bottle, especially if you want to do full coverage. The Colorista orange hair is pretty great too but more tinted my dark blond hair w red undertones to be more ginger, I personally already prefer the turquoise as it shows up differently to my natural tone (as it would sfhjsd)Overall the dye is great for do it yourself and leaves your hair soft, but my only warning is to check how it might come out on your hair colour before buying.

I've always wanted to dye my hair a really funky colour without the commitment, so a wash-in/wash-out colour sounds perfect! I was given the Peach colour to try - admittedly it's really, really orange in the bottle, bit of a shocker! Obviously I have blonde hair that borders on mousy brown and if you have brunette hair, it's best to avoid this product completely as it won't take (You'll see more about that in the product description, you've probably already read it before seeing my review, but hey). The box comes with gloves and instructions, as well as the dye. You need to follow the instructions to the letter and treat it just like a proper hairdye - do a patch test beforehand, wash and completely dry your hair, get an old t-shirt and towel ready, and a friend to help you rinse your hair. The instructions are thorough, although the model in the photos is pulling the most ridiculous faces! I opted to dye my ends, and it was really easy to do - left it on for twenty minutes and washed it. It looks brilliant, although it will only last for three washes! It hasn't quite washed out yet but it will soon. I love it though - think it's a great way to try out bright colours in a safe, easy to use way.

The L'Oreal blue hair dye comes in an 80ml soft tube, with a thin set of disposable plastic gloves and instructions for use. No need for messy mixing. The product is claimed to last for 10-20 shampoos.A skin allergy test is recommended 48 hours before use, behind the ears, and caution is advised if you've previously had a reaction to temporary black henna tatoos. You need to have light coloured hair for the product to show up. Apply the product to recently washed and dried hair and leave for 15-20mins for a subtle effect and 20-30 for more dense colour. Its recommended to apply a skin conditioner to the forehead, but this is not supplied. We've used these products before and found they worked well. Was looking for this use to do a dip dye ends (5-10cm) on nearly white blonde hair. Wanting a pale effect the product was mixed with some conditioner and applied by a friend to get an even distribution. After 15 mins the product was washed off and a subtle blue effect was obtained. Enough product remains to do a top up in a few weeks time. However if you have long hair and want to do a full head at max colour strength you may well need more than one pack of colour to get the desired effect.

So many mixed reviews, just goes to show how much can vary between a) the different colours in the range and b) each individual's hair type/colour.My opinion: I love it. I use the Red and it is literally the only semi-permanent dye that has worked on my hair. I am mixed race with very dark, coarse, dry hair that hairdressers describe as resistant. I have literally spent £100s trying to get my hair dyed red professionally, without bleaching, and seen no results. This £7 dye is the only one that's worked, gutted that the Vivids range has been discontinued in UK stores! Thank God for Amazon. And Spain, where it's still on sale ;)I have now ordered the Turquoise and Orange dyes (tried Burgundy, didn't show up as well as Red) and, after reading all the reviews, will test on a hidden chunk of hair first to see if it shows up and if it washes out ok.Oh, and slightly confused by all the people saying that a bottle isn't enough; my hair is just below shoulder length and very thick, and one bottle is perfect. I apply with an angled dye brush around the hairline for precision.TL;DR - at £7 it's worth a try as it may work for you, but test on a discreet section of hair first!

This lovely colour is perfect for streaks, or ombre if you like to change your look regularly, or don't want to use harsher permanent colours. I have had an ombre light to dark for a few months now, but fancied adding some different colours. I had tried a well known brand in the past, which washed out really quickly, in fact after the second wash it was almost gone, but L'Oréal lasts much longer. I keep the little tubes of conditioner that come with permanent dyes to use with semi permanent ones as I have found they help the colour stay stronger for longer. It may seem a good idea to try cheaper brands, but it's not cost effective as I find I need to redo it more often. This is quite a dark green,so it looks good with my dark purple and blue, but if you have very dark hair, you may need to lighten it first, or the colour won't show up. The instructions are clear and easy to follow and you can rely on the quality so you know how it will look when touching up your roots, I can highly recommend it.

I’ve had pink hair for 10 years now, I’ve tried them all. This is defiantly one of the better ones. But I tell you now it really will only work on light hair or ideally bleached hair.  As you can see from my pictures:  It will not show up on brown hair, My bleached ends and side highlights took to it fantastically and it turned half my pink hair purple. If you want really bold results then you need the lightest hair possible. I also left it on for about 45Mins, if your going to do this id do a patch test first just so you know your hair wont all fall out. Over all this product gave me great results and id defiantly recommended if you’re looking for some mermaid vibes.  As for longevity it really is down to YOUR own hair fibres NOT this product.I have washed my hair about 3 times and it’s starting to fade, but there is plenty in the tube to keep topping it up. Vibrant hair is hard work to keep up. (Added) The last photo is 2 and a half weeks after application. TIME FOR A TOP UP!

OK OK OK=========I'm a little fed up with people complaining about this range: "it doesn't cover grey, it's too light, it's too dark."HERE'S A LESSON===============If you want lighter hair you need a bleach (hydrogen peroxide with a colour)Semi-permanent hair colour can give you a more natural colour and are easy to apply. They last for about six weeks and tend to fade with each wash.As this is a semi permanent it's going to fade.BOX====It comes with a brush applicator and gloves are included. However they're not good gloves. Super Super cheap.HINT====For me it left a hint of colour but much will depend on your base colour, and the colour you choose.LESS====As I stated above a semi permanent usually lasts for 6 weeks. This claims 1-2 weeks. So it's a more temporary type of colour than normal.I wasn't blown away but for me it gave a little hint of colour.OVERALL========A good start if you want to add a tad of colour.

I love playing around with colours and am determined as I get older to be one of those blue rinse ladies but with purple instead ;)I am unable to have funky colors in my hair during term time but take full advantage during the holidays, it is therefore, essential that the colour be semi-permanent so I know it will be out by the time school starts again.the colour is already mixed so there is no mess, you will, however, need a bowl and a brush, it doesn't have to be a hairdresser brush it can be a cheap children's paintbrush as it gets the job done. I like to put streaks through my hair so its easy to paint on some colour, wrap it in foil and away to go.The length of time the colour stays on the hair will affect the depth of the shade, you can everything from pale violet to deep purple. As the colour fades it will run through the spectrum of colours, although I did feel pink for a while lol.A fantastic way to brighten you day

Haven’t bought off amazon, bought from the local supermarket but a review is always helpful for someone deciding whether to purchase or not.Pro’s-The colour is such a beautiful shade of pink. The condition it leaves your hair in is amazing, mines quite damaged from excessive bleaching over through my teenage years and this makes my hair feel silky soft. It’s a conditioning mask & a colouring product all in one so you can’t ever complain about the condition it’ll leave your hair in.You achieve a more intense colour the longer you leave it on. On the box it says 15-20 mins. I leave mine on for 30-40 mins just so it really takes.Cons (not really a con in my eyes)-Mine lasts longer. The box says 2-5 washes and it’s all out. But I think every hair type is different and it all depends on how well colour will sit in your cuticles.
