This is a really good thermometer. It gives a reading in just seconds and all without having to put something in an orifice or under an arm. It can read C or F (default Centigrade) and all it requires is for it to be placed either on the skin or up to 4cm away. This can also be turned into a surface thermometer to read room temp or holding it near an object it can give live time readings. Don't see much use for that, but the option is there should you want it. It seems accurate enough and ideal for babies who wriggle around and are too young for a thermometer in the mouth. I compared the readings on several tries with another brand thermometer and they gave same results. It comes with batteries with auto off to preserve them.It can store 25 readings and reads temperatures between -22 to +80 C in surface mode and +34 to +42 C in forehead mode. The display lights up just after taking a reading so it can be read in a dark room.Just remember, that whilst the thermometer can give you early signs of a fever or sickness, body temp may not always rise. If you think something is not right, speak to a doctor.

I've used all sorts of different thermometers in the past, and have a much cheaper digital one that I've always thought to be doing a great job. This new one, adds more to that however, by not requiring you to touch the target - great for when taking the temperature of a sleeping child, or someone who suffers from haphephobia.I've tested this with my other thermometer, and the results are pretty much the same in all attempts - so either both are accurate, or neither are, but they are the same, so I'm happy.Another added function in this device, is that it will happily let you know the surface temperature of whatever you point it at - good for checking food /formula temperatures for those not happy to just go with what your wrist or elbow tell you.Overall, I like this device, and will probably find myself using it far more than my cheaper one - I've dropped a star for the price though, as I feel the current price of £49 is a bit much.

Love this thermometer. Children particularly ill children can easily be disturbed when trying to take their temperature. This no contact thermometer solves the problem wonderfully. It is quite slim and light and very easy to hold. Requires 2 xAA batteries which are supplied. There are 2 buttons , a standby and a start button and a clear display window. One simply points thermometer to forehead to get a reading. The child can sleep peacefully and is not disturbed. Have tried alongside an other thermometer and find reading accurate. It can be read in fahrenheit which I like and also centigrade which the younger members of my family work in.I love that it will save the last 25 readings recorded because this can often show a pattern which can be important. I like it very much

I’ve had this thermometer about 2 weeks now and I already prefer it to my old one. It’s so much easier to take my 18 month olds temperature. No trying to keep her still and struggling, she actually laughs when I scan her. The readings are always really reliable, no huge fluctuations. I can even take a reading while she sleeps. The only bit I struggled with was getting it to stop erroring it took me a while to realise it works better if I wait for it to clear the memory, at it saves the previous recordings. This doesn’t put me off though. the instructions are very clear, and it also comes with batteries so you can use it straight away. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I’ve alwsys found the normal under the arm or tongue thermometers difficult to use - especially with an already hot and fussy baby. This is so much more straightforward and less instrusive. It took a couple of reads if the manual to figure out how to use as it wasn’t as straightforward as you’d assume from looking at it.The only reason this didn’t get 5 stars is because it does have a tendency to give different readings each time you use it if you don’t get it the same distance away each time. I think it is picking up some of the room temperature as well but overall I will always use this over my previous thermometer (which is also a TT) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

A very simple-to-use device; a contactless thermometer which takes it`s readings from the forehead of any subject – sleeping child or otherwise – from a distance of 4 cm. using a sensor located on its end.The thermometer has a good-sized LCD display screen and the device can be switched to give readings in either Celsius or Fahrenheit; it automatically stores up to 25 readings. The device appears to be quite accurate as my tests over the week charted the temperature fluctuations of a family member who was unfortunate enough to come down with a 48-hour summer cold.Rather an expensive item, but it certainly does it's job well and effectively; I was really quite impressed with it.

Straightforward to use , popnin supplier batteries and go. It does have a beep to show you've captured the temperature and a nice large LCD display which lights up after the measurement has been taken. It's good and quicker than other similar thermometers and not too different from mf in ear thermoscan which is a good standard. There is a little lag if you want to quickly take a second measurement and there are only 2 buttons to change the settings (to F or to turn the beep off - which I recommend for sleeping babies!)Could be a bit smaller and more portable ...Overall pretty good, but pricey in my opinion as other similar

Whatever technology it is that has enabled consumer products with no-touch temperature readings, it has become ubiquitous very quickly, and there are now hundreds of devices like this on the market. The ones that are more expensive than this have things like supporting apps, and the cheaper ones than this are well... cheaper. This one is perfectly fine, and has the standard fever alerts, 25 measurement memory, etc, but it seems to be priced at 49 quid because of the respected Tommee Tippee branding, not because it is any particular improvement in functionality or build quality than others available at considerably less.

The instructions are so easy to follow, the Thermometer is so easy to use, it has a memory function so you can check what the child's temperature was when you last checked. The fact that it is contact less is amazing, both my girls were poorly and whilst they slept I could easily check their temperature without disturbing them, which is great when you don't want to disturb a poorly sleeping baby! It also turns itself off when it's not being used which is great so it saves it's battery life too, it's the best Thermometer that I have ever had, highly recommend to others [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

When we received this product our little girl was due her first set of jabs so it was perfect timing! I liked the fact you could turn off the sound so that you can take a temperature without waking them and also how quick it takes a temperature. The only thing I would change would be to make it have a LED indicator of green etc when you take it so that you can see it in the dark like the tommee tippee mouth & under arm thermometer. After a lot of playing around to do with the buttons and reading the instructions it is very easy to use and understand! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
