I am very happy to of finally found an accurate thermometer that is easy to use on my whole family and is hygienic too! My wife suffers from terrible reoccurring ear infections and my son is waiting to have his tonsils removed because he suffers awful tonsillitis and has seizures when his temperature spikes too high (this happens often and always requires a hospital trip) team them with 3 other school age children and a teething baby we use the thermometer a lot! Up until we got this one we had a forehead contactless one, but it wasn't always accurate and the readings were all over the place, this was more obvious when we would take my son's temperature after a seizure and when the ambulance would take his temperature straight after.The thermo scan reads accurately, the readings the ambulance get and ours are now the same, my son recognises the device as one that is very similar to what they use in hospital, especially with the disposable tips that have to be used. Meaning he is happier to have it used on him too! The hygienic disposable tips are great for my wife, with her ear infections she gets very high temps that we like to keep a close eye on, we have usually steered clear from ear thermometers as obviously we don't want to spread the infection, but this is so easy to change the tip on, and it cannot be used without one either, meaning that it is always covered and clean and once me wife has used it, she can dispose of the tip and it is ready for its next use without is having to disinfect and remember it's last use ect. The colour coding makes it easy to work out if a fever is present rather than trying to remember what temp is what. With green being for normal body temp, orange being borderline/low fever and red being anywhere over 38° and being a fever. It makes it easy to spot at a glance and my son knows just by looking too (if he sees orange or green he is reassured he is ok.)I have used on our 13 month old baby daughter too, something that is not an easy task usually, but I managed to take her temp with no fuss both when she was awake and asleep as it is really quick to read once in the ear and it doesn't need to go too far in for the reading meaning she doesn't have to sit still for too long. Overall I cannot see us changing to any other thermometer now, it has had so much use since we got it, with both my son and wife being poorly in the last fortnight, and obviously with this COVID situation at the moment it's important to keep an eye on our tempretures. The Thermo scan has not let us down once, nor had the battery's ran out (although being standard AA's means if they did we always have a supply of them in the house rather than them being a fiddly and barely used watch battery or similar.) I would recommend this to anybody who is needing one for everyone in their family and wants one that will last. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was so excited to receive the braun thermo it came in loverly box neat and packed nicely.Opening the box i noticed the instructions was so easy to read and gives you right temperatures your body should be if its to high. I also noticed it came with a top to cover the ear peace so can keep it nice and secure It also came with extra disposable ear pieces in a box.After turning on the braun it was already packed with batterys and so easy to use the lights come on to tell you its on. It light up blue while cheaking your temperature and beeps when you have cheaked the temperature. I cheaked mine to see if was working my temperature was normal.Its easy to take of of the ear peace to depose of by clicking a butten and easy to apply a new one.Its show up blue orange and red if temp above a certain amount green meaning normal and amber meaning slightly high and red meaning very high. The nightlight feauture great if trying to take temperature in dark.Im so pleased with this product as mum of 3 its perfect for me when one of the kids are really ill as the winter months and school they always comeing down with something. I usually buy braun products because i know its good quality product with perfect results.this thermoscan is no exeption.results are so accurate and you get within seconds.it is easy and gentle to use which is perfect for fussy babies and toddlers.it has a pre warmed tip which helps with accurate temperature.for hygiene reasons and to prevent cross contamination you get 21 disposable filters,they easily attach to the thermometre,once used you press eject button and throw away.reading the temperature is so easy as its colour coded.i found it so simple to use on my baby and knowing that the result is accurate and reliable gives you peace of mind as a parent.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

This is a very simple, easy, user friendly thermometer that gives accurate results. When being switch on it also checks that it had a cover over the tip of it doesn’t it won’t read which I like. It also lights up when first switched on I found this a big help when trying to check temp during the night. When you go to check the temp press the button there is a then 3 lights at the top that go green once it has read the temp this is a great feature as you know as soon as it’s done. The screen will also go green or red screen relevant to the temperature so if temp is ok then green or to high red.

The Braun Thermo Scan 6 is easy to use as compared to other thermometers since you just have to put the tip to the ear, scan in seconds and gives a very accurate result. The result is colour coded which is amazing as you’ll know instantly if it’s normal or not. It is very hygienic since you need to change the plastic tip and dispose it so that there won’t be any cross contamination. I have been through so many thermometers I've lost count. The problem with most is they're not very accurate. I'm so glad I have this now and I will be sticking with it. It is so easy to use and comes with simple instructions, just press the button and literally right away I get a the result but this is even better than that as it comes with lights. Green if your ok,yellow if you have a fever and red if you have a high fever. It also comes with replacement heads so that's a bonus. Every household needs a thermometer especially if have children and especially today with the current situation.This is extremely easy to use. Excellent thermometer it’s really easy to use! I don’t think you can go wrong with it really... not only does it show the temp but it also lights up with a relevant colour so you know if it’s reading a slight temperature a high temperature or non at all. I feel it’s pretty accurate as I always then check my own to compare. Great to use on babies who don’t sit still for longer than a few seconds! I highly rate this Braun Thermoscan 6 thermometer. Very accurate, very easy to use but the feature I really like is that it has 3 different colour lights for indication of severity of fever. Also the light is very handy for checking the children's temperature during the night. The product itself is a great compact size with a handy cover to keep it clean and protected.A must have with young children. I would highly recommend this thermometer. A good thermometer which I bought to replace the earlier model, which had lost calibration after 10 years of regular use.Compared with the old model it is faster to turn on and to take a reading. This model has a backlit display which helps take a kids reading when they are asleep in a dark room.Instead of a case, this only has a covering cap, making it slightly unwieldy to store in a cupboard as it doesn't have a flat surface to stand it in.Delivery from Argos was quick and easy.

As a father to two children with quite poor immune systems I have tried quite a few thermometers. This one is the best one so far! It’s so easy and you can be almost certain of the result. The thermometer will be green if the temperature is fine then orange and red if it’s too high- the visual cue is amazing and really easy to use. Fab little thermometer. Does the reading so quickly and leaves the reading up until next time incase you are monitoring someone. The light is great as it means I don’t have to switch the light on at night to use it. There is a red amber green system, I have a naturally higher core temperature so I’m always amber but was useful for the kids. Not much good for someone who is colour deficient though but the numbers are bold and clear so would be seen easily.

Bought this one to replace an identical one I had in my home visit bag. The previous one had worked reliably without fault for years until I leant it to one of the students and it mysteriously broke all of a sudden. Reliable, batteries only need replacing every couple of years (if used several times a day in GP setting) and nice easy to use display. A must for any doctors bag and would be a good choice for a household thermometer.

This thermoscan thermometer works really well it is easy to use and painless. Just switch it on place in ear and it beeps when it's taken your temperature. Easy read colour coded screen instently let's you know if your tempreture is too cold, normal or too hot.
