I was nervous of switching from the product I had been using for more than 2 years but I am very glad I did. Tints of Nature smells pleasant (it has no chemical odour as my old brand did) and was easy to apply. All my grey is covered perfectly and my hair is in good condition. I like the cap that covers your hair during the colouring process as there is no danger of drips (my old brand dripped messily, which is why I gave up on it in the end). After reading the Tints of Nature website's tips for covering grey, I used a hairdryer to warm my hair for a couple of minutes while I had the cap on, and I left the product on for 40 minutes before rinsing. I also avoided washing my hair the following day.Ten days later, the colour hasn't faded at all so I feel confident that I won't need to colour it again until the roots show in 4-6 weeks. (I'll edit this review if it does fade in the meantime.)The only thing I find odd about this product is the colour description of Dark Blonde. I consider I have dark brown hair but my previous John Frieda colour was 6N (though described as Light Natural Brown) so I chose the Tints of Nature 6N shade. It's perfect.I will definitely continue using Tints of Nature from now on.

Used this with colour 8N as there does not appear to be a 9N, just golden blonde which is usually the wrong shade for my pink toned skin. However using half from two bottles of colour( which is actually suggested in the literature ) is REALLY difficult to judge as the bottles are not clear. In the end l found the cap from a Night Nurse bottle had the right calibrations and used that, although it was difficult to pour from this into the developer bottle. Just used it on my mostly grey roots which it covered well and the colour is a natural light blonde . I didn't use the clarifying shampoo as l thought it would be too harsh, the so called moisturising shampoo was horrendous,l thought l'd used washing up liquid on my hair, it made my hair already coloured by another product feel like straw. I will use this hair colour again, it left my 'virgin' hair feeling much softer than the other colour l have been using, but l will wash with my own gentle shampoo that doesn't contain SLS. ( l used the same colour mix on my daughter's dark roots and it has left them a reddish colour, not what she wanted at all.)

This gives a natural looking permanent colour that is easy to apply (if not the quickest) that fades very gradually so (depending on your natural shade) doesn't leave you with obvious root regrowth. I use this about every 6 weeks on my dark blonde & greyish hair and love the end result, lots of natural looking highlights due to the tonal variations I already have. You do have to wash your hair beforehand (shampoo sachet supplied) and it does take 30-45 minutes to take, but unlike many brands doesn't smell of chemicals (nice scent of camomile actually) and doesn't irritate the scalp or leave the hair smelling of dye for days afterwards. The only thing that I don't rate is the conditioner I just use some of my own instead.Tip.Leave it a minute or so after mixing/shaking the bottle for the lotion to thicken up slightly. Not sure it would be suitable for a dramatic change in shade but that is the sort of thing that most home colourants aren't really suitable for anyway.

I love the organic colour systems range of shampoo and conditioners and treatments. They have transformed my hair. But to buy their dye is practically impossible as they are specifically for salons only. Spending £100 plus at the hairdressers to get my hair dyed was just too expensive. Was using other hair dyes but my hair felt like it had silicone products on it. So when I saw this company had a sister company I was delighted to see I could purchase the home dye kit. And I am very pleased. The products don't smell like chemicals. The dye has covered my grey roots!! So happy. No silicone feel on my hair either. It feels full of life. The kit comes with a clarifying shampoo to get rid of any built up products.Easy to use instructions. I left my dye on for 45 minutes. You are supplied with a hydrating shampoo and conditioner. Makes your hair super soft. Really pleased. Will be buying this hair dye from now as it's gentle to my hair.

I chose Tints of Nature as it contains more ethical and less of the questionable ingredients that other well-known brands contain and also a relative recommended Tints of Nature as she has been using it for a long time. I took the plunge and ordered this - anticipating the results, as I had been using another brand for a long time. I followed the instructions and can report this product is definitely the best I have used and so much better than previous brand which is now a thing of the past. Tints of Nature is easy to apply with less mess and when I wash my hair a few days after colouring, it doesn't leak dye into the water on rinsing (my previous brand used to leak a large amount of residual dye for many washes after).Tints of Nature 3N Natural Dark Brown colour stays locked in and you get sachets of shampoos and conditioner, plastic gloves and hood included. My hair feels soft and scalp feels very healthy with no irritation.

Like many women I am not quiet ready to go grey, but also do not like using hair dyes full of nasty chemicals.I decided to try Tints of nature as the product appeared less harmful.I have recently dyed my hair and am very very impressed with the results. The box contains a pre-colour shampoo sachet which felt really nice and smelt pleasant, the colour process was very straightforward,I used the whole bottle on a chin length bob,and left it on for nearly 40 minutes due to stubborn greys,a plastic cap is provided too.The product smelt pleasant and not overpowering, takes a while to rinse out but again a sachet of shampoo and conditioner are provided. The colour was great, rich dark natural brown andall my greys blended away nicely.I will be using this product from now on.

Really pleased with this hair colour. I always go to the salon as hate colouring my own hair but current times meant I had no choice. Did lots of research as being a dyed blond colour ( natural colour now sadly grey I’ve discovered!!) it’s notoriously difficult to get right. Tints of Nature had solid reviews and seemed like it would be gentle. Strand test looked ok - no ginger - got my Husband to watch some tutorials first as easier than doing it myself. Bought a cape and the right colouring brush and voila! Thankfully came out great - covered grey roots very well - never as good as the professional colours - but colour is lovely and hair feels great.Would definitely recommend for the amateur colourist - although my Husband now thinks he’s Vidal Sassoon ???

Really great stuff this. I was used to using bog standard, £5 a pop hair dye on my short hair which would stink to high heaven, give me a horrible hung-over type feeling, not really cover the grey properly and then fade quickly. This stuff though is the opposite. Smells ok, doesn't give that toxic feeling afterwards, covers grey AMAZINGLY and lasts until the next cut (7-8 weeks and it's still going strong - and I wash with Head and Shoulders which strips the colour off). I was really surprised at the difference. Sure it's 50% more expensive but it also doesn't feel like it's giving you cancer at the same time. Money well spent I'd say.

Tints of Nature offers much more natural colours than it's rival, Nature Tint. I've been using it for years and my hair looks really natural and is in good condition. I find the colours, at least for me, are not as light as the names and pictures on the bottles though. I mix the 9D with the 9N to give a lovely natural light golden blonde on hair that is naturally dark mousy colour. I have to admit that it doesn't cover grey very well but as my grey is white and there's not too much yet, the white streaks add contrast to make the look more natural so it's OK for the moment.

The colour lasts as long as when I go to the hair salon for a professional hair colour, but for a fraction of the price, and I think much more convenient to do it in your own home. Plus it looks great. The instructions are easy to follow, the product smells great and I've not had any adverse reaction. It's pretty quick and easy to use, just half an hour for a total colour, or if you have grey roots, leave on for 20 minutes with just the colour applied to the roots, then apply all over and leave on for a further 10 minutes. Rinse out and wash your hair. Simple.

My own hair colour was completely gray from a young age. This means that I need to put some warm tones back when I am dying my hair. All the lighter tints make my hair look dull and the darker tints look too harsh in my face. I am very happy with this particular colour as it looks not too light or too dark and quite warm. It covers my grey hair quite well. I extend the time until the next dye with the root touch up from Clarol.Very happy and highly recommended, especially because the ingredients are not as harmful as in other hair colour brands!

I’ve researched many hair dyes recently following poor hair health, (supermarket dyes and regular use of straighteners etc ) and was giving up finding anything. I’ve used this for the first time today, and was pleasantly surprised. There was no horrible smell, no dying of the skin on my forehead, and it was easy to apply. My only criticism is my hair was a very dark brown rather than light brown. I didn’t use the shampoo or conditioner supplied at the end as I’m currently trialling olaplex, but will definantly be buying again.

The recent pandemic meant I had to turn the clock back to my 20's. I did loads of research as I wanted something that might be slightly kinder to my hair. I have now been using this colour for the last year and have yet to go back to the hairdresser. I agree with previous comments that washing your hair first and then applying the colour means things can get a bit messy. But I have now developed a method and routine. My hair looks good. I will certainly continue using it for the near future. It certainly saves me money.

I have been using this for the past 2 years to cover grey hair, after my regular dyes started heating/burning my scalp. I wanted something that would last, and would cover the greys, as well as look natural. The 4N shade is lighter than my prebvious blacks, and so it helps take away the aging effect. Tints of Nature customer service told me to leave it on for 40 mins instead of 30, as I have dry, difficult to cover greys. So I do, and it works great. I started mixing with 4CH, to add a bit of subtle colour change.

Definitely my new preferred hair colourant. It's a bit more labour intensive than most shop bought ones, (you have to shampoo and clean your hair before & after you use the colouring cream). BUT, the outcome is amazing, the colour stays rich and doesn't fade quickly. I went for natural black, and even over time the colour is still intense and I love it. For the price and quality of the end result, I would be hard pressed to spend 100's at a salon again, or use some other more well known brands.
