I would consider these to be a very basic deterrent to an unprepared opportunist, and recommend more so as an addition to secure the strap from loosening/slipping during transportation. It’s not rated for theft security so buy a theft rated lock if that’s what you are looking for.I use a Kryptonite Dlock and 9m Kryptoflex cable, and Abus lock to secure 3 bikes on the car when stationary.You’ll only ever secure for a period of time against a prepared thief and deter an opportunist altogether.

I'm sure these will deter a casual thief. They are just plastic, and wrap around the end of the plastic wheel straps on the Thule carrier, stopping them from being released. The keys are generic, and the strap they attach to is just plastic so could be cut, but worth it for deterrence.

I think the idea of these is a good one. They are not going to stop someone with a hacksaw but would be enough to put people off if they are looking for an opportunity. These will fit on the ratchet straps from both the Thule and Saris.

These locks are only intended to deter opportunists from stealing your wheels. Determined thieves could easily bypass them.They are still handy for that peace-of-mind when you have to leave the bike on the rack for a few minutes.

Arrived quickly. Locks as described. They clip around Thule bike restraint straps and reduce the risk of someone removing your straps. Came with 2 locks and 2 keys. Assuming 1 key files fits all locks - but better than nothing.

Simple and effective for use on most brand wheel and other straps. A deterent only but will put a opportunist off in favour of easier prey.

Anything that frustrates a thief is good. OK they are only plastic, but they help stop a quick snatch of your valuable bike on its rack
