Pricey but good. Note that if like me you are purchasing to allow easy swap of the back pack between vehicles, you may need additional spare parts (eg the locking pin, hook and footplate - available on line, but about the same price again as this kit.The rack itself is great - I have used it on 2000 mile trips for a few years with no problems. Check the manual to see how may bikes your particular car can take.Looses one star due to price.

We bought this for our VW Sharan and it was to fit with the bike rack. I.e. this is the adapter kit that makes it fit in our car. It was a bit of a stress figuring it all out but to be honest now that it’s on it does work well and seems incredibly sturdy so well worth the high price.

just what I needed for the children's bikes, great, just the job for taking the family on holiday and those trips to the park without buying a set of rear lights for the car.

Thule 3rd bike adapter fits easily onto the Backpac, and takes that third bike without fuss.
