I purchased the bike carrier but didn't realise that there were now different connections to the tow hitch. When reviewing the plug I thought that the design seemed a little strange, but all came clear when it arrived. The plug adaptor does what it says on the tin. All delivered as stated and fitted a treat - no problem. The design peculiarity came clear on the first fit - the flat plane area that seemed bizarre until fitting is used to hold the weather proof flap open on the female part of the bike carrier cable plug - ingenious!!

Found a product which actually works. I tried a product which cost less than £10 and it got stuck in the rack - dont buy cheap made products for your carrier. Had no problem attaching it i to the thule carrier and quite easy to take out. You do need a bit force putting it into the car connector , my connector just under the bumper - it was already in aqward position. It was easier to remove it.Also note the part also comes with 5 year warranty compared to others with 1 year or just 30 days.Yes price is steep but worth getting

I was anxious about ordering this after reading some of the reviews. I needed one to attach a Thule 927. It arrived on time, thanks to Amazon Prime. Fits perfectly and easily without any difficulty and does not need multiple attempts. As long as you line up the grooves it slides in and you just turn to lock it up. No fuss at all. Have not tried cheap aftermarket ones to comment on whether they are good, but I would stay with Thule.

Simple, solid converter from a reliable manufacturer. Not obvious how it fits at first, but works well when twisted/clicked into position. Expensive for what it is, but makes the wide range of bike carriers with 7-pin electrics usable on cars with 13-pin sockets.

Amazon warehouse deal, box slightly ripped but had been sealed by amazon. Product looked like new inside, no scratches visible and fits the car 13pin socket perfectly. It even has a rubber seal where it tightens up to the car socket.

I ordered this as I was getting a German car and I wanted to be prepared. It turned out I didn't need it. However it looks like it is of very good quality.
